I heard bitcoin is an online Gold, internet money and the number crypto but i need to know the dos and the donts about Bitcoin and this forum which i was introduced to me by a friend.
Thanks in advance

Bitcoin have great potential but also can be  risk, like any other kind of investment in the world 😀
Only difference is that you can directly invest in crypto, and even be paid in crypto for the work done.
If I can suggest you,  don't invest money here before you learn more about btc and crypto.

First off, you can start by learning a few basic things about bitcoin through this links
- Bitcoin whitepaper - https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf
The Bitcoin whitepaper is not a basic aspect of Bitcoin, and I will only recommend it to newbies as a reference to understand the purpose of Bitcoin and it's origin, but it contains so many technical stuffs that would be difficult to understand.

Op, welcome to the forum, you have already gotten a handful of useful answers.
i need to know the dos and the donts about Bitcoin and this forum
One of the don'ts is; do not see Bitcoin or this forum as a get rich quick scheme, this is why most users fall victim to scams or get banned for trying to cheat the system. Always gain knowledge before trying to profit.
You can always use the SEARCH option at the top icons, when looking up anything Bitcoin related, there is a plethora of information on the forum, feel free to ask questions as well.

If you are pertaining to technical knowledge of bitcoin, then the links given above is sufficient enough in order for you to understand how bitcoin works under the hood.

And maybe, you can simultaneously read this e-book (google drive link) which can give you a philosophical point of why bitcoin matters in the long run.

Just going to add to the links already given. The default links I always give people who are new to Bitcoin:

Pretty much covers a good amount of Bitcoin basics: https://www.coindesk.com/learn/
Must read before you actually buy your first bitcoin: https://cryptosec.info/wallets/

Just a heads up: if you want to survive in this industry, you're going to need to spend a crap ton of time reading. The risks of losing money when going in blind is huge. And trust me when I say that I'm not over-exaggerating.

Hello, Chris44521! What happened to the other 44520 Chrises? Wink
Nowhere better than the Bitcoin Developer Guide to start with learning about the functionality of Bitcoin, in my opinion: https://developer.bitcoin.org/devguide/block_chain.html

I was able to glean a large amount of knowledge from there and I thought of it as a very good entry point, especially if you have any technical background at all in computer science or mathematics. Though taking a look at the whitepaper is also a welcome place to start, some parts of it can use polish and apart from historical and cultural significance, you would be hard-pressed to find someone recommending it as the best place for learning about Bitcoin.

Ask more questions than you're comfortable with. It will help to clarify everything to absolute certainty, and that's certainly no small incentive considering that you're dealing with currencies and finances. You should look at Bitcoin as spendable money.
