The OP professes ignorance of what he's done;
In this case I'm pretty sure OP knows what he did, I just don't think he knew it was a rule.  I don't think any of these people know plagiarism is banned here. ...

At first I thought all these plagiarists either had no moral qualms about what they were doing or else didn't think they would get caught, but I'm starting to come around to your perspective that they might not see anything wrong with it in the first place.

I don't think it has much to do with that, but rather that they just don't have much choice. When you can't speak English very well if at all and know little about the topics you are posting in what do you expect them to do? The money is too good here to turn down, and it's too easy to copy and paste. Greed and laziness also comes into it, but for many others they don't have much choice if they literally can't really come up with their own acceptable posts. Many actually get away with it for quite a while as well as it's hard to spot and if we didn't have as many community members looking out for this behaviour many more would be geting away with it.

Why do people like you name their accounts shit like John Berrington? Your name obviously isn't John Berrington.

The account could belong to a farmer (or bought from one). There's been a fair few farmers (some using bots and others not) that just chose 'real' random names for their usernames here. Maybe they pulled them from somewhere or used a generator but it's not that uncommon. They also might think that using a real name gives them an advantage or makes them more 'real'. I dunno. Probably not worth spending too much time thinking about the hows and whys of this though  Grin.

Your grammar indicates somebody who is clearly not native English, and yet you front, why?

I see shit loads of people just like you spamming up bounties, you realize you stick out like a sore thumb right?

It reminds me of this excellent book I read a few years ago about the perils of moving your manufacturing to China titled, appropriately enough, "Poorly Made in China." Basically, the Chinese care as much about product quality as you do, and how they evaluate your level of care is by the effort you put into supervising their work. They also tend to play fast and loose with promises of any kind, like when something will be done, how much it will cost, etc. They take capitalism to an entirely new level of ruthlessness and if they ever were to develop an intrinsic pride of workmanship such like the Japanese or Germans are known for we are all well and truly doomed.

This is a Lafu topic you can understand about why your account is banned
Topic: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/your-account-got-banned-look-first-here-5043370

Thanks. Need to replace this link with a useless email address [email protected]. As I see, many users have been banned from this thread. now it is closed. With this approach the forum will be read-only for most in future

Hello! I was banned on the forum. The reasons for the ban are not clear to me. What is the reason for this?
I sent several letters to the address [email protected] . But I did not get an answer.

This account is not mine even though I have access to it.

That is a pretty lame excuse, I must say. Did you borrow your friend's/sister's/brother's/father's/mother's/husband's/wife's account to recover your account just like all others who claim not to be themselves when they get banned or caught for having multiple alts? I know you are saying this to avoid being a victim of having alts as well since you had this account from a very long time and you brought it back to action once your main account got banned.

Otherwise, why would someone not use their account since December, 2017 until today and suddenly comes out of nowhere and gives you access to it for posting your recovery topic of your banned account? At least be realistic when making excuses like this.

Technically there's no evasion yet. I don't see any posts outside of this thread since the ban.

Yep. My bad. I actually didn't quite notice the date of the posts which were made before this topic. Anyhow, turns out that OP is a former account farmer as well, which is why he is making such nonsense excuses for this account not being his own but one of his friend's probably.

In this case I'm pretty sure OP knows what he did, I just don't think he knew it was a rule.  I don't think any of these people know plagiarism is banned here.  You look around the internet and it's everywhere, whether it's straight-up copy/pasting or text spinning.  I don't know how many times I've googled something, and the results have all been from different websites yet the content has either been an identical copy or just slightly different, with no note made of copyright or anything like that.

Doesn't surprise me that when folks come here and haven't read the rules, they think it's A-OK to just insert someone else's content into a post here, call it their own, and get paid for it.  I'm sure in some cultures that's completely acceptable, too.

And, since it is not the first time you are posting with this new account you have created, you have broken the following rule as well:

Quote
25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.

Technically there's no evasion yet. I don't see any posts outside of this thread since the ban. But I love the preemptive excuse:

This account is not mine even though I have access to it.

I participate in many forums, but in order to get a permanent ban you have to try very hard with repeated violations with a warning from the administration. I have not received any warnings before, I think it is not correct.
Well then, don't think that this forum were the same from those forums you were talking about. This is Bitcointalk bud, the future of cryptocurrencies really depends in here, this is not like "Guides and helpful tutorial forums" that we can see in the internet. Also, you're really expecting to receive a warning message as you knew to yourself that you are violating the rules isn't? Well, your question has been answered, the reason of the banned were identified so, what are you waiting for? There's no point to keep any discussions here and your are permanently banned from this forum which means you are not allowed to create an account again or even post again. Sorry for the loss but that's how things work here.

You kind of deserve this ban for not reading and following the rules, so you cannot simply say:
Because of one post to ban an account?

This account is not mine even though I have access to it.

The reasons for the ban have many members of this forum. I think it is no secret to anyone. I participate in many forums, but in order to get a permanent ban you have to try very hard with repeated violations with a warning from the administration. I have not received any warnings before, I think it is not correct. But of course this is just my opinion.

I understand that it is impossible to recover my account. Thanks for your clarification.

I was banned on the forum. The reasons for the ban are not clear to me. What is the reason for this?

You have broken the following rules:

33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed.

Here:

While the ethertum remains the most popular platform for the functioning of smart contracts, but how long this will be continued is unknown. Still, I hope that common sense will prevail and the team of ethereum will continue to develop its platform.

Still, I hope that common sense will prevail and the team of ethereum will continue to develop its platform. As for me, he should have begun his growth long ago.

And, since it is not the first time you are posting with this new account you have created, you have broken the following rule as well

Maybe get merit to rank up and join a signature campaign later?

Many users have been plagiarizing lately because they can't make any HQ posts (and can't get any merit because of this).

Looking at OP's main account "shady" merit history I have doubts for a rank upgrade without abusing. Without abusing he needed thousands of copypasted messages. He would never rank up in a legit way in my opinion and he was already a full member.

Op has no signature, what is the point to copypaste random messages? I really don't understand this practice.

Because of one post to ban an account?

No, you have been banned for breaking the rules of the forum. That post adds no value and was made for a sig campaign or some other bullshit reason perpendicular to the purpose of a discussion forum. The fact that this one post turned out to be copypasta just makes it easier for the mods, otherwise they would be wasting their time for months cleaning up your shitposting and eventually would ban you anyway.

And I doubt it's only one post. Most of the time when someone feigns incredulity it turns out they're a serial offender.

...Why then create this thread or specify an email [email protected] when there are no answers?

It's a cruel hilarious joke that theymos plays on people who get banned: it gives you the illusion you can somehow be the exception among the rest of the rabble that get banned for plagiarism on a daily basis, just like the "close doors" button in an elevator or the "push to cross" button at a stoplight.

It kind of is cruel and certainly redundant either way. That message should be removed or at least edited. Perhaps listing a few of the most common bans would be more beneficial so people don't waste time creating another account in Meta or mailing the void of an unmonitored email address. I wonder how long someone has kept messaging it waiting for a response before they just gave up.

But I see no reason for a permanent ban, there must be a way to restore the profile.
It's amazing how similar these threads appealing a ban for plagiarism tend to be. The OP professes ignorance of what he's done; other users dig up examples of plagiarism; OP claims this isn't a big deal and ought to be given a second chance; users laugh as they relish the delicious schadenfreude; OP either leaves in disgust or starts calling us "dog" [sic] (and then leaves in disgust).

No less surprising that the thread also did not have an official response. I am not going to insult anyone and I see no reason to laugh. From my point of view, it is sad that I have been on the forum for more than a year, and only now I get a ban.

It's not as sad as the fact that people come here and think it's acceptable to copy and paste other's content.

I still hope that I will see the answer from the moderator here. Why then create this thread or specify an email [email protected] when there are no answers?
A lot of people are banned and a lot of people message theymos. There is a huge backlog.

Thanks all for your help, most likely this was the reason for ban. But I see no reason for a permanent ban, there must be a way to restore the profile.
Plagiarism = perm ban. There has only been one instance of which the ban has been lifted and you do not have the same kind of reputation. You shouldn't need a warning to know not to plagiarize.
