No knowledge is a waste, being skilled in one area could aid you in being better at some other place, it all depends on relativism and if your able to find it. So, your knowledge stocks might not be the same with crypto trading but then, you can be sure that they share some similarities or have principles that can apply in the cryptocurrency trading too. You just have to find it. How do you do that?
By being really involved and paying attention to details in sections that matters as per the aspect of concern.

Also, the forum is for all, as much as it is for pros, it is also a place how numbs to come cure their ignorance. To be fair, I was once a numb too to everything crypto when I got here. I had assistance never the less becuase, in the real world, I knew people who knew a few things about cryptos and as such, questions I didn't get the time to direct to the forum, I as well directed it here amongst other person researches of mine. We've got Google, YouTube, the Internet itself, the forum and lots of other sources of information.  Should you be lacking, seek the knowledge and your sure to find it and grow in it.
Its6a gradual process for sure but, your sure to get acquinted in time.

Since i don't know anything about crypto then I don't think it will be easy for me to revolve around here.

Can someone do well here without having good knowledge on cryptocurrency?

Well you need to get your ass off the ground and start exploring the forum. There are hidden knowledge out here that you must pick interest in them by searching for them before they get to you. If you want to learn from the forum then you need to put in effort, avoid generic threads and focus on those just meant to oass on information and educate her readers.

Some of those post can be found in this board, we have numerous of them here, other boards also have these information so don't restrict your exploring to only one board. If you find an interesting thread started by q particular users, you could go through that users posting records and chances are you'll find others worth reading posts. Concentrate on their started topics and not just the replies.

By doing well I presume you mean gaining merits and ranking up as this days that's what must newbies are interested in. The advice I have is just be yourself, don't go chasing after the merit instead focus on the education they forum offers. By just hanging out here more often, your mentality will change for the good.

What do you mean by "do well" here, OP?
If it means that you can gain reputation, it is possible through your interaction with any other people in here. It could be from any services rendered in here, though it is pretty much expected that you should have at least a little bit knowledge about crypto but it shouldn't be that you should be too tech-savvy.

I am very happy to see the courage of newbies asking about positive things and this will be your goal in the bitcointalk forum and here there are so many parts to know and I think later you will understand where to put your real post about your goals about stocks .

The forum is an important part of the discussion, the most important thing is that you have to know the rules that apply including how to get merit and other rules, if you continue to focus on this forum I think it will be a good cause for you, I think posting on the local area has so many benefits.

So do what you want if it's still crypto related.

Can I post in non crypto related thread and still do well here?
You can post in non-crypto related discussions, but my question would be, why? Why would you come to a Bitcoin and crypto forum to discuss thinks that have nothing to do with digital coins and are off-topic? If your goal is to gain some knowledge about bitcoin, you can't achieve that by not reading and talking about it. But my impression is that by asking if you can "do well", you would like to know if you can increase your forum rank without knowing or learning anything about bitcoin. If that is the case, then no. You would have to be very lucky to "do well" here without having an interest in crypto.

If I am wrong, and you indeed want to learn, I always suggest taking a look at an easy to understand video like this one:
What is Bitcoin? Bitcoin Explained Simply for Dummies
An introduction like the one written by Coinbureau is also a good starting point > https://www.coinbureau.com/education/what-is-bitcoin/.

You're very much welcome.

If you post non crypto related stuff, make sure that you're posting it on Off Topic if it's totally non crypto related. You can do well as long as you won't violate any forum rules.

Trading in stocks and crypto have no differences except the few known things from crypto, high volatility.

You are welcome to bitcointalk community, it's so simple to be a member of any noble institutions but the problem is that will it be simple for you to adopt their protocols, as a beginner i think you have a vital role to play in order to work in line with the methods of the system, at first a newbie have to obey the rules and regulations of the community to avoid been ban or not to have access to login to the community, and you have to read and understand the rules by clicking links bitcointalk users dropped in your threads, just follow the methods of members to post and ensure to read carefully before posting.

The purpose of this forum and why it is created is because this forum will be used to share knowledge, warnings such as warning for scam projects, scammer people etc., learning (for newbies like you. You don't need to ask if you are welcome or not but those who have previous accounts and made mistakes is not welcomed here. There are people who does not want to contribute and resulting in spam, plagiarism, attempting to scam is either permaban or red tag.

which I think is not easy for someone without knowledge of cryptocurrency to grow to certain level here.

This kind of phrase may be the reason that some members above have responded to you in the way that they did haha.

What do you mean "grow to certain level here" ?
You mean in knowledge? or "rank"  Shocked. That may be the confusion. As a newbie, you are "assumed" not to know anything about the levels and to be determined to learn and grow in knowledge. Be humble, simple and appreciative.
You need to crawl before you learn to walk and run. Just a friendly talk my friend.

You can do well if you take the time to educate yourself through the forum posts. Be active in your local subforum, learn the rules of the forum, ask questions, engage in conversations, and read. Read as much as you can from the forum if it's a worthy post.

Hi everyone, I don't know why begginers like myself are not posting here but I hope I'm welcome here?
This place is all about Bitcoin and crypto related stuffs which I think is not easy for someone without knowledge of cryptocurrency to grow to certain level here. If I don't know anything about crypto then I don't think i need to be here trying to do well with impressive posts.

Can someone do well here without having good knowledge on cryptocurrency?
Can I post in non crypto related thread and still do well here?
If I'm ready to learn from people's ideas and write-up here, can I hope on this site since it's all about cryptocurrency stuffs.

I have few ideas on trading stock but I don't know if it's some how related to crypto market cos I can't just wait to explore this site. The rules are somehow confusing but I'll try and go through it again.

Thanks admin for this privilege!
Well, you cannot be considered doing well in here if you are not that knowledgeable about cryptocurrencies. The forum is named bitcointalk and it is not solely made for unrelated stuffs about crypto so posting on non crypto related threads in the forum will do you no good. Learn more, you'll see how wonderful crypto has been over the past years for sure and you will also learn that it is one of the best decisions you made, learning about crypto cause it will lead you to greater things in life if ever you became fortunate. Do not waste this chance, don't stay ignorant, there's more inside that is waiting to bring out the best in you.

Little by little you will understand about the Bitcointalk forum, Bitcoin and crypto, most importantly you want to learn about all the rules: which one can harm you and which one is useful for you, of course all organizations have rules, if you run as set you will stay here forever.

In this forum there are all sections such as discussions: Bitcoin/crypto, and those related to digital currencies, you can learn about it, so you'll be a genius about it.

Ask if you don't understand, the senior members here will give you information and help you as much as they can, bottom line: don't be shy to ask if you don't understand.

No, you don't need to impress others if you don't have enough knowledge of crypto.  If you're here willing to learn about crypto stuff, you're in a right place.  I suggest you spend more time reading on the forum rather than thinking of what you can contribute, there's no need to impress other members if your purpose why you're here is to learn, just ask and don't hesitate it, everyone is willing to contribute those older members.

Explore this forum and you will not regret it, you will find also a non-crypto-related discussion but it might good if you will start and begin in crypto stuff.

Ain't an expert much about trading but I think they are the same mechanism of strategies and analysis but the difference is crypto trading is more volatile than the stock market.  Soon you will learn regarding that matter if you will pursue yourself how to learn.

By the way, welcome here in the forum and see you around.

Welcome to the community. I am not sure how you want to do good here, but yes, you must learn before doing good of course. Just make it simple, if someone does not study then he/she can't be a teacher. Same here, you have to learn from here then you would help or do good for the forum. This forum was created for educational purposes about Bitcoin. You may post if something isn't related to crypto-currency as well, but not on this board. There is separate board called Off-topic . So please make a post in the appropriate section when you intend to make a post. Before that just learn to use the search button if there are any existing related topics where you would find your desired answer. Best of luck.

You can generally post whatever you want here as long as it doesn't break the rules: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657

I'd recommend putting stocks related things in the economics section though: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=7.0

Mods are quite active to move stuff if you put it in the wrong place.

But also what's considered doing well here to you? Id say getting here and registering is probably all you need aim for (and writing interesting/useful posts)
