If you sell at the low price you take the loss. If it then dropped further you could the buy and recoup some of that loss but if it then rises it is going to cost you more.
If you are too scared to trade wait and hold is the best option for you. I actively trade so I can make more money, that makes more coin accumulation at the very end. everybody have different strategies, but if you don't want to lose coins you might hold them and not care the price at all.

Yeah, I'm not going through the hassle to get my coins out of cold storage either. I'm just waiting this one out, I'm pretty sure this is just a temporary panic reaction to that Medium article that Mike Hearn wrote.
