I'm happy to say that I am no longer in the newbie rank. I can remember being ashamed of the newbie rank glaring on my profile.
Why should anyone be ashamed of being a newbie, either in real life or here on a forum? We all started from scratch and were a newbie at one point and at least that’s something we have in common. Rank does not determine how important or significant someone is on the forum, because there are Legendary or Hero members who have earned less merits than you (excluding airdropped merits). Realistically you were more successful than them if we took merits as a measure of value.
I soon got used to it and then ignored it and focused on growing my knowledge on btc and crypto in general. I can say I've learnt a whole lot with loads more to learn. Learning is a continuous process and I look forward to growing in continuous knowledge and information sharing here in the forum.
This is a good way to think, and it would be good to have more beginners who would think similarly. Old members are slowly leaving the forum for one reason or another, and sooner or later some new members will take matters into their own hands, and maybe you are one of them
