This is the best decision to be taken by everyone. Tron is nothing compared with ethereum and you must see the differences between both. Tron 4.0 just a common update that so many platforms have already implemented such update even before the tron 4.0 plan has already published.

it is true, ETH is the second best altcoin / token after BTC (in my opinion), if you have just entered here (in the cryptocurrency space) then what you have to do before deciding to invest is to understand the volatility of prices which changes rapidly every time, because of that can make you lose. Long-term investment seems like it suits you, because it doesn't require special skills like being a trader.

Not really a bad idea, how much you are going to invest if it is a huge amount then diversify into different coins even if it is in thousands that is the only way of reducing the capital loss risk.And also investing on ethereum like coin don't expect the profits in months probably it will take years to give returns to you if you are attracted towards ethereum due to the recent spike in ethereum and wanted to invest only in short term then I will say better don't invest at all.

Yes, im actually planning to leave it in my wallet for long term purposes.

your instincts are right. You can't really go wrong with eth. It has shown continuous development overtime and everyone has it in their portfolio. However, I would also tell you that you should study it little bit more. Instincts are great but knowledge is also helpful when you are investing and you want to make sure you know what you're investing into.

Eth is the top altcoin next to bitcoin and already well-established.
It is good for long term holding so many investors always include eth in their portfolio. However before you invest do some research first about eth for you to better understand this coin. Its not enough to ask for suggestions or because majority chose it.

Nevertheless if you decided to buy dont forget to wait for the right timing and that is when the price decrease.

I am surprised with what you said because the last time I checked ETH was among the top crypto that follow the price momentum which BTC proposed after halving and with the ETH 2.0 coming up I dont see any thing that make the bullish in price of ETH doubtful.
