I already said that It has nothing to do with the browser so I'm not sure why people keep repeating the same thing and I also said that I tried a proxy and It worked fine (same with Tor Browser) but the issue here is that everything is slow.
Anyway, everything seem to be working just fine right now (as radhwane mentioned above), Issue was in the whole country and not only my connection or my browser (as I tried in different browsers , different PCs and operating systems too) , It wasn't only Bitcoin websites as I thought after all , It seems like some people had issues with agar.io , Slither.io and others too. my ISP is called Algérie Télécome btw.

I'm not sure what the hell is going on here but I can't access most of Bitcoin websites , website that I have tried so far are Blockchain.info , Coinmarketcap.com , BTC.com , Blocktrail.com , Poloniex.com  , Kraken , Wirexapp , CoinsBank , Bitmixer.io  and the list goes longer ...

Firefox keep giving me the following error : The connection has timed out , The server at Poloniex.com is taking too long to respond. (All websites)

And I will assume you can access bitcointalk.org since you just posted here, first of all try those sites on other browsers such as Google Chrome etc. If it loads on other websites then that's a Firefox problem.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can

For me, if the site works on other sites but not Firefox, try to refresh Firefox at HELP tab and see how it goes.

I tried refreshing Firefox and that didn't do anything and I also tried visiting the mentioned websites in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome but I wasn't able to access them either , only way I could access them is by using an online proxy : https://kproxy.com/ so not sure whats causing this

How is it now?

Well if on other browsers it still has some errors then it's nothing to do with the browsers settings especially on their connection settings. It's on your network now since you can access those sites with the use of VPN.

Already refresh your connection by restarting your modem? If still the problems occurs then try this.

Go to CMD and run it as an admin. In the command prompt type netsh winsock reset and restart your computer. It's called resetting your network adapter (TCP/IP). Instructions are vary per Operating System so you can google it for a specific instructions. Just give it a try.

Anyways may I know what is your ISP provider there in your country?

Few days now almost every site I try to open gives me name resolution error, recently there was an attack on the internet itself maybe that has something to do with these kind of issues.

I always get the same error when I am having a slow internet connection.
Have you tried restarting your router or whatever your internet device is.
Bitcointalk.org does not require too mh data so you will be able to access it without any problem but id it is the sites that you mentiones it requires a better internet speed.

no it not about internet speed some times i got very slow internet connection but i can access to any site that mention above
i'm sure that governments start banning sites related to bitcoin this problem happen today
i resolve my problem with VPN

@radhwane, maybe for now continue using VPN to access those sites. Try it again tomorrow or any other day without VPN just so you know if it's really the government banning it or not. I have the same opinion with jaceefrost because I'm also having this problem only when my connection is slow and it's not limited to bitcoin related sites, sometimes even on a Google sheet with lots of data.

@MadGamer & @SportbetMaster if you can't access any website using any browser, then it might be the connection indeed. I tried to visit some of the sites' that have been mentioned and it's working fine here.

Huh I'm a little bit curious on why several users are experiencing the same problem.

I tried to use a proxy (Kproxy.com) as stated above and It's working fine and same thing goes with using an VPN but things are so slow so I assume that the government did indeed block the website , and no It has nothing to do with the internet speed as I can play some games without even lagging.
Please check for using the another isp, and making a compare with your currently isp, and totally I sure if all of your problems in your isp and you can migrating into the another for the best one and I think checking for accessing using the another browser.

Can you access from your phone or you can't access these websites from any devices connected on the same network, also try in CMD to "ping poloniex.com" and see if it works or not.

I faced this problem many times, but only with Bitcointalk forum, other sites works well for me without problems, the internet browser is not the problem, because I always use Google chrome, but when I change the IP, Bitcointalk works again, I do not use VPN or Proxy but I just restart the router to solve this problem.

I prefer that all this remains a mystery

The connection has timed out , The server at Poloniex.com is taking too long to respond.
Seems clear to me? poloniex.com has it's hooks into your computer and can't seem to do a good job spying on you. It's not a government, the owner of your traffic (poloinex.com) is having problems. I'm gona take a wild guess that you are on a windows computer.

I bet too he is on a Windows machine.

However when it comes to government restricting you , this can be bypassed very easily. In fact it's been discussed here several times but let me remind it for you. You go to www.torproject.org and download the TOR browser. Starts it with the lowest security settings so you can open the websites you are not accessing through your normal ISP.

99,99% it is problem with your browser. If you want to be sure, just install for a while another browser (Chrome for example) and if there everything will be ok, just clean up your Firefox. If you don't know how or you don't have patience for it, just reinstall Firefox.. Or just keep using other browser  Grin

I see there can be two possible reasons ;
1. access to the sites blocked by your ISP provider (which is quite unlikely as list of sites is too long to get blocked).
2. May be your firefox have some issue better to always use chorme, all above sites are opening for me without problem in my chrome browser.

If changing with different  browsers doesn't work maybe its your ISP problem maybe they got banned this sites in your country well its really frustrating to hear that one, but why you can access this forum that this is one of the biggest site related to bitcoin. And maybe using VPN's is your only choice.

Glad you got that sorted out??. lol.  Huh
Was bewildered since you were quite adamant it was the government banning/blocking those sites.
And as far as I know, there is currently no government who has taken such drastic steps to ban anything bitcoin related to that extent.Yet.
Anyway, turns out, just like previously suggested by others, it's an issue with the service connection.

I'm throwing accusations against the government because the ISP is controlled by them , we don't have private ISPs here so saying that this is only an service connection issue doesn't make much sense when It targets most of the known Bitcoin websites only.

Does http://btcads.org work for you?

It does but I guess this is due the fact that the website is new (A-ads for example is not working)

You can probably confirm whether or not those sites are actually blocked/banned by your government. Just try asking your internet service provider. They should be able to clear that up for you. Is bitcoin illegal in your country by the way?

And yep, same as the others, the only reason I sometimes can't access some of those sites is when there are problems with my connection or a problem with the site.

Anyway, again, I suggest confirming with your service provider. They should know if a site is blocked/banned/illegal. It's always better to be sure. Can't just assume things.

Most of people don't even know what bitcoin is here so I don't see how It could get banned , It's not ... as far as I know. I think there is no need to ask my ISP as I just checked a forum (of my country) and It seems like some people are having the same issue and others are others who are able to access it just fine (from different states) so probably an issue of location. I also checked the newspaper and there is nothing about it being banned or blocked.

I tried to use a proxy (Kproxy.com) as stated above and It's working fine and same thing goes with using an VPN but things are so slow so I assume that the government did indeed block the website , and no It has nothing to do with the internet speed as I can play some games without even lagging.

The problem is probably in your browser. Sometimes when I have similar problems I use Opera, at the moment I think it's the best. Also the problem might be with your service provider so check with them too.
