Is there any chance of drop prices of gpu both of Nvidia and Amd???

Price is not determined by both companies. Both companies would want their GPUs at MSRP. It is the distributors that are making the price hike because of the demand of these GPUs. As I see now not only gamers are affected of the GPU prices but also miners and new miners that want to build small mining rigs.

I had hoped that the price would drop but it went higher and higher and this will hurt ROI a lot

Well BTC just broke 11k ...all bets are off.  You wont be seeing GPU's returning to remotely close to decent prices on the used or retail market. Good luck my friends...Ive got 18 of them and getting more every week as I catch a deal (for these times anyway) here or there.

(1) 1080
(3) 1060
(7) 1050 TI
(1) RX 550
(1) RX 560
(1) RX 570
(4) RX 580

Im going for it!

It's not BTC price you need to watch.

On the Nvidia side, it's "Volta Sales Date" you need to watch for - existing Pascal cards seem to be all from "left overs" from before Nvidia had TSMC shift production out of Pascal GPUs to Volta GPUs.

On the AMD side, it's ETH profitability that is the key figure, so indirectly ETH price which does NOT always move the same DIRECTION as BTC price much less the same percentage price change.

Looks like BTC is about to go above $10k again.  So much for GPU prices coming back down anytime soon...

it needs to go above 17,000 to indicate a bull run

even if it did the prices will never come down, this is the norm now

I just keep an eye out for reasonably priced GPUs on one of the main shops in my country, they have a dedicated page for second hand hardware.

Some are trying to sell 570s for over 500$, vegas for 900+ and 1080tis for 1000+. But every now and then there's a reasonably priced GPU popping up, I check it a few times a day.

Just need to be patient. No point in buying overpriced hardware, keep that ROI in mind. Especially since the diff is very high on the most popular coins.

I browsed a few retailers and they have little stock if you are willing to pay almost double MSRP.

Pretty sure some miners returned these GPUs after the profitability halved in the last 2 weeks.

in my country (europe) it is literally impossible to get a 1070 or better. There are loads of 1050, 1050TI and some 1060s, but the prices are insane. Every store has put a 1 GPU / person policy aswell, but that doesnt help. The used ones cost as much as i bought my new ones for!!! its insane.

Amazon checked in my GPU shipment, and it was sold within minutes. For double MSRP. Crazy!

Like remauto1187ma forecasts, give it 90 to 180 days and you may see GPU prices fall a bit by then. Course, that's assuming Volta (Ampere?) is released, and released in quantities sufficient enough to mollify both gamer and miner demands.

Give it 30-60 days and ebay will be flooded with the miners that just couldnt afford to stay in the game and will be selling their equipment off.  The GPU market is already on borrowed time.  More and more GPU's in stock every day and prices coming down.  Just give it 30-90 days and GPU prices will be substantially lower.  If BTC ever gets back up to over 10k then who knows what will happen again with the GPU market. Most likely back up again.

The new Titan V might change that, given it's extreme "AI" focused performance at a MUCH lower price point than the previous options NVidia wanted to point folks at.

I wouldn't bet a LOT on that though.
