I knew that they would not pay me out, but I tried by promoting my referral links.

It worked for a while but its still minuscule profits, althought I have seen guys that make 0.05/day from affiliates on autopilot.

Of course we dont know how much they spent on advertising, so they could be in minus. But its doable if you have money and patience to invest.

Two really good faucets are MoonBitcoin and Bitcoinker. I don't mess with most of the other ones, but those two can add up fairly quickly to enough BTC to buy your favorite cheap altcoin that you think will go to the moon in the future

Faucets are great if you need a little BTC to buy new cheap altcoins you believe will substantially increase in value later, or altcoins that mint. It's probably not worth it just for the Bitcoin, but to trade into alcoins, if you hit up the right faucets (the higher paying ones), you can buy quite a few of certain types of altcoins with the earnings.

I didn't start with faucets. I bought my first Bitcoins in very early 2013. I have for fun tested some faucets in 2014 to try to get as much as possible for my efforts. It was a waste of time. Nearly 2 days of fully trying to get as many satoshi's as possible, just made me $0.28!!

Faucets are a cool way for noobs to get into crypto and the best way to make a little bts is from referrals, I have a bitcoin faucets rotator in my profile, it pays a little regularly, and the best thing it, other ppl do the work and I don't have too.

Actually doing faucet is a lot work considering how much you get paid for it.

I don't mean to offend you, OP, but that's bullshit.

Faucets are a great way to get people into bitcoin. They learn a lot, even they get dust from faucets.

I know many people who started with 0 btc, then went to the faucets first, and then bought BTC.

I agree with all this abuse faucet owners do to 3rd world country people with having them to click on ads, etc, but some of them make more money with faucets per day, than they could make with a job in their country.

This is just my personal opinion although, I could be wrong.

In simpliest faucets are like promotions the same in gambling in the field of casinos thay are giving out some mbtc just to let users to try out their services.

Yes if you believe in bitcoin it would worth some millions in future, then collecting small amount of Satoshi from faucets as time pass also a good idea. I had quit faucet earning after several months of hard working I could not reach even 100 mBTC. Out of frustration I quit faucet earning. Faucets are good only on leisure time.

Faucets are not meant for earning big amounts of bitcoins.
They are here only for the new bitcoiners to understand how the bitcoin ecosystem works.
If you want to see some bitcoins in your wallet then you can use faucets to get as early as possible to see some bitcoin in your wallet. Faucet best suits for newbies.

This thought is so common, but it's completely naive. Bitcoin is money. Of course you can earn money with it. Guess how else you can earn money (and in the SAME WAYS)? Money. Fiat. Cash. People need to quit this idea that Bitcoin magically allows you to make a living where you otherwise couldn't. If you can make money with Bitcoin, you can make it by doing the same things for cash. Bitcoin isn't a get-rich scheme. It's a medium of transfer. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hmmmm I dont think so because most of newbies faucet is their first and only way to earn bitcoin. I think faucet still has a contribution in making bitcoin popular. Who else here didin't use faucet since the first time they discovered bitcoin.
