bitcoin will die if no one buy bitcoin or not interested again with bitcoin, or someday if someone create altcoin which is better than bitcoin and can replace bitcoin position and the sure thing which can make bitcoin die is will all peoples can't access internet it means all peoples can't access bitcoin too but i think its not possible Smiley
If get you quite well. You meant it not possible for people not to access the internet world wide, isn't it? Like I said the only thing which would make bitcoin die are loss of the web or a global electrical power crisis. Therefore, if this can not happen, then bitcoin can not die and what we bitcoiners need to do is make bitcoin great all times.

How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
Demand - There are no peoples using it
Value - Zero value will make it means nothing
A new innovation - the people migrate into the new innovation.

Legal aspect looks like to press all of the main reason.

Bitcoin is GOD

Even if Bitcoin someday will die, block chain technology will survive. I think the mail gift from BTC is idea of decentralized system. I hope we will find a way, how to integrate this idea in our real life.
Yes, there is the possibility bitcoin does not survive, but the truth is the cat is out of the bag and there is no way to put it back in, there are hundreds of other coins and at least some of them could be resistant to whatever scenario we could envision that could destroy bitcoin, and at the time we will usethat new crypto currency.

The conly condition bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies may die are in my opinion.
1,If everyone of us stop using or  holding them.
2.If a far better technology emerges.
Other options like  Value decrease,Legality issues already have happened but bitcoin has survived them.
I think stop using the result of something that happened in bitcoin as there are new technologies that are more sophisticated than bitcoin. but I think when there is still some users who hold bitcoin, bitcoin will then continue to live

Well the problems with core and bu are making me feel bad. Wasn't there decentralization?
Then the Chinese People bank is doing their utmost best to kill bitcoin by their regulations.
Sure some of them are good and normal, however they present it in a way (delay, indirect) to harm BTC.

In case of a global electricity or internet shutdown, it's going to go down for sure. The other way is having it illegal worldwide, so nobody can use it, so.. It will go down because it will be worthless and useless.

Well form my point of view, I think that the bitcoin will only die if the price goes down really low, If the price starts to decrease and people start panic selling the price will fall really low and that will be the need, people are only using bitcoin as long as it is expensive otherwise it will be worthless.

But the reason for price down fall must be the real factor for such a situation. But I am not finding any possibilities for this to happen.

If there were a loss of net neutrality I would divest at least 50%. It might even kill the project.

Hi James brother of Jesus,

How would you do that ? Bitcoin can migrate to Blockchain Universe where we do not need Internet.

i feel if sudden bitcoin is scam  Grin
but this is impossible just my feeling
I think bitcoin is decentralization. so no one will ever make bitcoin be a scam. all the destiny of bitcoin is determined by the user itself. so being a scam will not happen in bitcoin. but to have a price of $ 0 is likely to occur

Bitcoin would only die if the price value has been down to zero, and the bitcoin users will disappear in bitcoin world, together with the all traders of bitcoin will be shift into other digital currency. But I think that's impossible to be happen now.

one thing's for sure, no demand to use cryptocurrency which is not possible

Also the legality of it is important also, because if the government doesn't allow us anymore to use bitcoin became illegal due to those people who are abusing bitcoins advantages to buy illegal stuffs in the internet like guns and drugs, causing the Government to have negative thoughts about bitcoin that is why they cease it and decided to end it up before it is too late, though also impossible because I know that the bitcoin users around the world would protest about this thing, if the Government would do this someday.

Decrease in user base. The more users stop using a coin the more its value drops and if the value drops then no one notices that coin anymore. Many alt coins die because of this and they can't survive once they got a drop from users because a new investor would always invest in a coin which is already having at least a little good users base.

If there's a world war and the world stop using the internet that could be the end of bitcoin.bitcoin already died many times if you look at it's history, but it always find a way to resurrect and with greater demand and interest ,I expected to read a lot more news about it's death but after that a price increase follows.

When people no longer interest on bitcoin !

But the fact for now, more people interest on bitcoin as we can see the value reach $ 1000 and bitcoin also being halving , it means bitcoin will survive this year !

If someone were to create a very same technology as bitcoin but have a lightning fast transactions, then that might lead to some people migrate to that coin. I know some of you guys would comment that we can already do it if you use any other altcoins but the coin's transaction time should not become longer as the number of users increases. The altcoin should also have a really huge fund for promotion that would make a non-bitcoin user become interested in cryptocurrency.

What would happen is that the altcoin would be so hyped up that a lot of users are using it already, causing some of the bitcoin users to move "some" of their coins and believe that it's their choice to buy at a low price. And since they have good advertisements, people would continue to increase until the scenario would be when you're using bitcoins, you're basically left out and/or outdated. Like, this new altcoin is the new cool thing.

I think Bitcoin will dead if every country decides to ban Bitcoin permanently. Then, there will be no more people using Bitcoin because they might be arrested in this condition. And bitcoin can also be dead if there are a new cryptocurrency which is more profitable, more advance and can fix most of the bug of bitcoin. In the future, there will be more cryptos qualifying these facors.
previously many country that prohibit bitcoin, but they can still use it because bitcoin is anonymous. so it's not a big deal I think.
and I thought about a new currency that will be hard to compete with such a bitcoin, need high confidence and it takes a long time to be like bitcoin

I don't think bitcoin value is a reason of bitcoin dying. If one day, bitcoin will die. The reason will be Legality issues i think. so people will avoid to use it and maybe will die.
But, from my point of view, I don't think bitcoin will die. even if government banned it.
Many people now, Trust bitcoin and use it. It's a lovely coin.
No. Bitcoin still lived in 2010 under deepweb and was used by many hackers. it is not about the legality or not. Bitcoin can only be dead if in the future, there are a new cryptos which is strong enough to replace Bitcoin by its advance technology and benefits. Therefore, I still believe that Bitcoin can not be affected or replaced in the near future. Keep calm. No one can ban Bitcoin

If the users stop believing in Bitcoin, then the price will drop and merchants and services will stop accepting it. This might be, because some

developers were dragging their feet with scaling and users start using other Alt coins or even worst private Blockchain based technologies. We will

soon see if this will happen or not.  Roll Eyes

Hopefully this won't happen, because although some people are losing their faith in bitcoin there are much more of those who are just start believing in it. They buy BTC because they believe it will rise in the future. Some of them buy for just $10 because they don't have more spare money to spend, but there are many of such people. They save bitcoin from death in a way I think.
