It will eventually die when nobody invest in bitcoin like any artist when nobody support her or him, they are already useless. Bitcoin will consider useless without any investors.

The only thing that will kill bitcoin is turning off the internet "Internet Total Shutdown" which is not possible. So, because of that nothing will kill bitcoin. Grin
Well, nothing can kill Bitcoin I guess, even if you somehow shut down the internet it will still exist. I mean the internet is just a bridge to everything, it is what connecting all specially in the digital, communication etc. It will still exist.

If no one will ever used it, whales will dump all their coin, and miners stop. But all of this things is impossible to happen as you can see. Obviously demand is getting higher because of that, price is getting higher as well. The popularity itself is getting improved as time pass by.

There might be two situations in which bitcoin will be dead one when it loses all the basic features or properties like it's being decentralized and anonymous etc second if something better and more innovative is introduced to the people and they start using that and stop using bitcoin. Other than that I don't think bitcoin will be dead in any situation.

How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
I guess the price ofbthe bitcoin in the market is depend in the demand and supply of bitcoin it will die if no one demands or using bitcoin i guess but in my opinion it is impossible to happened as we already know the bitcoin is really a perks and a better form of currency.

if all the online exchange will steal all the crypto currency that their client been saving all these years and hackers will hack on users online wallet, it could probably affect the numbers who use bitcoin,
and if all the traders and bitcoin users will lost their faith in bitcoin and dump everything they have Huh

Bitcoin will not die until people believe in him. Now it people have invested so much money that he can not die. No this process will not stop. Recent events on 1 August only proved that.
yes that is right that we have strong believe on bitcoin and therefore bitcoin is not going to die in any case but will remain as number one currency of the world and people will be using it for everything. currently the facilities of bitcoin to be use it for shopping in local shops are available in few places but later own when the users of bitcoin will increase it will also increase.

How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?

There are many things that can affect bitcoin as a cryptocurrency. Possibly, bitcoin will die if there is other cryptocurrency ,that is quite popular and high price with low transaction fee, will rise. But for now, it is hard to talk about things in the future, I believe that bitcoin will rest for a moment and not die.
to me i think in preent time bitcoin is so much strong that it is not going to die in any situation bit will become more and more stronger with the passage of time.  i think the users of bitcoin are increasing from time to time. which and also giving good support to bitcoin, and making it more stronger am sure that very soon bitcoin will be more popular throughout the world.

Bitcoin will die if blockchain will stop to work,if miners will stop to work will be no confimation, what will be whan last block of 21 mln limit will be mined, like i knowthere is no solution in that case, but there is still time uhtill last block will be mined

yeah your right ... i dont think if its happen ... its hard to think
I think the creation of something digitally? Will last as long as you can't imagine. Because in digital it exist by means of codes and these codes exist by means of deeper codes. Its existence is unexplained really, even if people are not using it anymore it will still exist. Other than that, I'm sure other coins will have the same foundation as Bitcoin has, so it will definitely still exist.

There is only two things that can kill bitcoin,
1. someone gets majority of hashing power
2. someone can revert the sha256 algorithm, and find private keys for any public key.

I think it will always exist in some sort of way.
Well definitely yes, even if the value will decrease; will continuously have legality issues; and will exist a different technologies/ideas to supersede Bitcoin, it will still exist. Since it was made online and was made 'decentralized', its existence will remain to those people who're still using it.

That is true but if any new altcoin comes in market with more superior technology then bitcoin that time only we can see btc dying. But it will take very long time to happen.

I think the bitcoin might be forgotten if there is a better alternative to it. Or the amount of users is reduced for some reason. What can happen!

When we suddenly revert back to the Middle Ages. Bitcoin will not die. Maybe it will be replaced by an updated version or a new digital currency. Maybe it will co-exist with other currencies. Maybe its popularity will fade and people will move on. But it will not die. It has made much impact in the history of the inter web for it to die. It has made headlines and broken and surpassed records. It will continue to cycle and it will continue to exist. It may be forgotten but it will not be dead.
Very well said. So you're directly comparing bitcoin's existence like a history record. That no matter how time passed by or no matter how many forget and ignore bitcoin. It will still be there regardless of any aspects. And it is intangible so, it will pretty much just stay there.

Cazkys: Forgotten means the thing is dead, figuratively.

Back then, people never thought that their coins will never be replaced by anything and that their system has no flaw at all. We are experiencing the same thing today. We think that bitcoin is the best and that it will be remember for the rest of time because has made such impact to the world. But so did the coins of the past, so did the monetary system of the past.

In the past, there are edible currencies. There are strange rock currencies. There are currencies that are a piece of cloth. These are the origin of the coin that we have today. Yet, most of us don't even know about it and it's not remembered by all. I believe that the same thing will happen to bitcoins. It will be so obsolete that people don't even care about it anymore. You might think people will, but eventually people will not. Even the fiat money that we have today, literally everyone is using it. But sooner or later, it will be replaced by another currency and eventually be forgotten by most.

The user is the dominant factor that greatly affects bitcoin, if there is no user I'm sure bitcoin will be free and very easy to look for it.
