When we suddenly revert back to the Middle Ages. Bitcoin will not die. Maybe it will be replaced by an updated version or a new digital currency. Maybe it will co-exist with other currencies. Maybe its popularity will fade and people will move on. But it will not die. It has made much impact in the history of the inter web for it to die. It has made headlines and broken and surpassed records. It will continue to cycle and it will continue to exist. It may be forgotten but it will not be dead.
Very well said. So you're directly comparing bitcoin's existence like a history record. That no matter how time passed by or no matter how many forget and ignore bitcoin. It will still be there regardless of any aspects. And it is intangible so, it will pretty much just stay there.

one thing's for sure, no demand to use cryptocurrency which is not possible
I agree because it depends on the market's demand. Also, there are more people that are being interested to BTC's advantages today, than before. BTC won't die. It won't be just ad strong as before if the deflation continues.
All depends on the market situations. The more demand of bitcoins, the more will be its chances of survival. So many people are taking interest in bitcoins currently and many countries are making it legal. Bitcoins have very bright future. They won’t die ever. By every second, its users are increasing which is going to make it quite immortal.  Soon they are going to be made legal digital currency for international transactions.

How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?

I think it will always exist in some sort of way.

If the world ended ? The internet and computers would have to stop working. If that happened I think it will probably be the end if the world. The people will root and there might be choas. There will be more to worry about then Bitcoin.

As long as there is a device and internet there is Bitcoin.
Yes, you are right because if there is no internet then there is no world. As you know people now depended on internet and the main thing who are familiar with bitcoin. They are depended on bitcoin. Because bitcoin has changed the life of people. So in my opinion you are right. If there is no internet then there is no bitcoin.

If all people leave the use of Bitcoin during the worst condition of Bitcoin, then I think Bitcoin will die. But I do not think Bitcoin will face such problem. And if Bitcoin stopped giving benefits to users, then people could release Bitcoin, but I do not think it will happen, because Bitcoin always provides users with many benefits. So people love Bitcoin.

If everyone stops using it or if in some way becomes wothless, these are the two situations I think of that could make bitcoin die. But I don't know what could cause something like this, people get used to bitcoin and all benefits that it gives and demand is geting biger all the time.
There is a quite big factor between the support of the community and bitcoin development. So if it will be gone forever or in a scale of time a huge impact may be changes on bitcoin resulting for not having a progress notes of its price and transaction and for somewhat reason it will die in the sense that mo one will going to used bitcoin as a mode of transaction and for investment and trading. Always think that we are a factor for bitcoin development.

I think there could just one case: self-destruction.
But this is up to us. If we all team up and row in the same direction this will be prevented...splits and lack of unity will only go in favor of Bitcoin detractors and eventually could lead to the end of Bitcoin.

Has the world ever been truly united? Maybe in small scales, but when as the population grows, more and more dramas are coming up. There will always be people that would want something else. There will always be people that wants to destroy something.

Remember in the cartoons when two kids are fighting over one toy and end up destroying it? That's exactly what's going to happen to the world eventually. People will always fight over and argue you to death over something really simple and basic. It's just our nature as a human. We don't want others saying otherwise, we don't want others disagreeing with us so we fight them to death. (I guess religion dramas can relate too)

Well, maybe when the situation began to lose confidence in the bitcoin users. people tend to leave bitcoin, because bitcoin is no longer provide benefits to users. but, I think it will not happen, because bitcoin will always provide many benefits to the users if we use it properly.
If the dumps continues, it'll a big problem for the community. But as what we are witnessing right now, it is increasing, days after the deflation, which shows that it will be hard for BTC to come on its end, not in this time where it is being recognized by some countries as legal currency such as in north korea.

I think bitcoin will not totally die because it is still improving its own.And look how powerful bitcoin now. As technology extent its capacity, bitcoin will do also, because as you can see many people are using bitcoin right now and I see the progress that bitcoin made.

I think the biggest cause of Bitcoin death is government. When Bitcoin is involved in many illegal activities, the government will not let it work anymore. Besides, the simpler cause is that the Bitcoin organization stops providing and exploiting Bitcoin.
All the above causes are hypotheses. I believe that Bitcoin is not so easy to die
Yeah the governments can not kill Bitcoin, if the governments don't accept Bitcoin, people will still use it (secretly), the price should be lowered but Bitcoin users will still exist
I don't think bitcoin will die anyhow soon . The main reason for the success of bitcoin is from the revenue generated from the public. If public don’t take interest in bitcoin or doesn't invest in bitcoin, it will die itself. But it doesn't seems like people are gonna stop taking interest in bitcoin.
Correct,as long there are people who do like to use bitcoin then it will surely live for longer years for sure and as you said as long there is interest it wont die easily. The time that bitcoin will be useless if all users would decide to dump all their coins and jump on other things which causes for it to be useless or no value at all but seeing on the current state we are witnessing the different thing.

In the history, Currencies dies because of non use or because of the death of its user lol.
I think Btc will never die, or maybe will die in centries ... According to stats, It is one used so much nowadays.
And its users are divided in all over the world. Maybe a region won't use it anymore because of political issues maybe but I think it will represent less than 0.5% of Btc users, so it won't affect.

Maybe if it happened since of the following things i suppose:
Bitcoin database is overcrowded transaction slow, Group who wants to change Bitcoin to better be censured, Many network of Bitcoin transactions mastered 'unscrupulous', Cost of transaction is expensive, prone to manipulation. That situation is gonna making bitcoin die i guess.

I have just posted on the other thread discussing about certain serious disagreements and perhaps to a certain extent infighting among the people behind bitcoin. This may look rather normal among workers but when it comes to the people behind a brilliant project which is bitcoin, this may cause a serious trouble. Such serious disagreement may soon cause bitcoin to wither away.

A split is coming because of this.
