I think pretty much Curling only (if any).

All the others aren't accurate I think.

huge chess and curling fan here (yeah im odd as fcuk)

men  are so much better at curling, just like in chess. the top 4 men vs the top for women would be like this years gold metal event with canada vs england.

well okay maybe the top four girls would not be as bad as england but it would be damn close.

What about e-sports? Women and men compete in the same league with mixed teams.

The insecurity in this thread is hilarious, you all know exactly why men don't compete with women in sports, it's because they're terrified of being beaten by them Tongue most men make up all sorts of excuses and patronising comments to avoid the very idea that women could possibly do something the same as them and because old white men are all managers and politicians, they're the most insecure people of them all so they do everything they can to make sure it doesn't happen on an international scale.

Another funny match in the Battle of the Sexes. Novak Djokovic played an exhibition match against Li Na at Beijing. Li Na started every game with 30-0 advantage.  Grin

Seriously though I can't think of a specific sport but I would say one that doesn't require physical abilities and mainly focuses on the mental side (so probably chess, checkers etc...).

I was thinking tennis.
The top female pros are great, but they rarely get a chance to play the males.

In tennis there is a close level between Serena and the 3-4 Top male players but The stats like Serve speed are mostly for males.

Pretty much any sport where strength, speed or size are not the primary determination of winner.
Archery, shooting, curling, race car driving, equestrian etc.
You forgot to mention spatial awareness, which men are better at. That would include anything that involves manipulating anything in 3D space, so shooting, driving, throwing, etc.
And no. I'm not trolling. It's been proven that women are worse at spatial relationships between objects in 3D space.
I realize modern society doesn't want to admit it, but men and women are different not just physically but mentally as well. Men are better are certain things, while women are better at others. One gender is not better or worse than the other overall, but we are different. That's not a bad thing.

I would vote for Chess. There have been incidents where women grandmasters have beaten their male counterparts in chess. Other sports are way off the mark, and females stand no chance.
There has been one female chess player who has ranked in the top 100 in the world and has won matches against chess world champions. The problem is the same as in other sports without a test of strength like Snooker or Darts - there are not enough women competing from a young age to identify those skilful enough to become champions.

Here is the most famous match, in the Battle of the Sexes. Played between Jimmy Connors and Martina Navratilova. The match rules were skewed to favor the female contestant.

Connors was allowed only one serve per point, and Navratilova was allowed to hit into half the doubles court.

Tennis? Definitely not. The female players will be destroyed by the male ones. The hard fought victory by Billie Jean King against the 55-year old Bobby Riggs can't be taken as an evidence to claim that the female players might be able to compete with the males.

Yeah.   tennis would be a no go.

 I like my 3  picks :

1) pool/billards/8ball/9ball
2) bowling
3) horse racing jockeys

In all of the above women have defeated men in world class events.

car racing is a good pick
shooting guns is also good

And one more :

there was a women fast toss softball pitcher  she would beat mens teams. pitch no hitters etc.

Well there are always girls which are better than men. I think that depends from person to person. I will say gymnastics is for sure very close sport if you compare. But girls have for sure better moves in there if you ask me Smiley

how do you compare gymnastics?

what women can do the rings?  have you ever seen a woman do this:

most events are just not the same.

But I do agree that I prefer watching the women.

Time is on our side, yes it is!
I'd say shooting guns would be on the list potentially.  Not sure some of the things being listed on this thread are really sports but that is just me.

Maybe small guns but larger ones with more kickback might not be as steady unless they have the muscle/strength to counter it.

Agreed, I was also thinking that archery could be one possibility.  Maybe this is a question best suited for Guinness.
