Almost all possible investment ways have been mentioned and now we move into what he would want high risk or low risk but I think the best answer was middle. Put enough Money on high risk stuff mentioned that you are willing to lose and put the rest into directly buying bitcoin.

Bitcoin price is at a great price to buy now. I say invest $250 to buy C.A.T. and another $250 or so into it and do automatic altcoin exchange which can return on its own investment value in no time if you know what you are doing and put the rest into bitcoin.

If i have 2k$, Id like to invest half of it in bitcoin. I would buy bitcoin for investment as it becomes rising each day. Ill be wiser not to invest all of money in bitcoin. So half of it, Ill just hold and sold by my btc when its already profitable.

You can either have good returns (on the cost of the good amount of risk) or you will have small returns (with the assurance of safety).

I would recommend you to with middle way and invest the half portion of your capital in low-risk investment options and remaining part in high-risk option so at the end, you will have balanced risk strategy. Make sure you are further distributing the investments in smaller parts.
Agree, there are investment do really have difference in terms of risk if you want to play somehow safe then better to choose the lower risk ones and if you do really want to challenge yourself on making much more profits like trading then its your own choice.Suggestion that have been mostly mentioned above they are right most of them.

I would not take risk on investing it anywhere else and would directly buy bitcoins with that amount and wait for the price to go higher and would sell them when its giving me enough profits and buy again when price falls in future and repeat the same cycle again and again.

Smart and safe decision means less but sure profit. If you aim for higher then you need to consider trading with altcoins, look what ETH did it, look now dash, there is potential in every coin, and even thou most of them are new remember that same thing happen to bitcoin, in beginning some people were saying how btc is a scam and look where is it now.
Buy 1.5 btc and put it on saving, but rest invest in several altcoins, take a chances to make good profit, cause if you don't buy on time you can regret later.

$2,000 capital is very huge amount and you can grow it up to $10,000 within a month if you will become a good investor First buy bitcoin as much as you can, put that $2,000 in bitcoin and then buy some cheap altcoins that you may see on poloniex, because even though you didn't know how to trade altcoins and to choose what is a good coin then poloniex got your back because they filter the incoming coins very sensitively so buying coins their will be the best for you. After you buy cheap altcoins there, just hold it for a bit long time because if you do that then you will earn a lot of money.
Are you sure investing in altcoins will worth over time ? LTC and Dogecoins seemed a good trading options some two years back but now they are in negative growth compared to the last two years prices. I guess when new altcoins hit the market, traders will switch to them.

This way I am expecting ETH to get older. I am sure this is going to happen because new innovative altcoins will keep on coming. No one can ignore this.

bitcoin is the investment that you should consider "long term" not altcoins.
you only trade altcoins and never hold them. take a look at litecoin for example it gets pumped and after some time it is back to the low price levels. the same goes for any other altcoins, they are not being used in the real world and only people who have them are traders and that means they will dump it as soon as they get profit.

See 2000$ is a good amount to spend on something.
If you don't want to invest on bitcoins then ,
I suggest you to ,
Invest them on shares,
if you know how the share market works.
You can also invest on other crypto currencies ,
Like Shield, Ethereum etc . It might be a good option as,
their prices may rise like bitcoins.
But I can't guarantee you that they will rise in the same way and rate like that of bitcoins.
No, just try to trade that amount and i think that will be worth with your time and effort and you can control your risk. Because the average trader will not lose his money in once time trade.
To buy another shares need a lot of the analyzation.

$2k is a good amount to invest on and if i have that money to put on i would choose to diversify it on both gambling house bankroll and some of the amount would be used on trading. These are the thing comes through my mind when i do have plan on investing which is really a wise thing to do compared on wasting it on scam sites and on playing gambling.

very difficult to find a good investment besides altcoin for now. most sites HYIP scam or something ends. to invest $ 2k I think it's really suitable for altcoin. it might ROI within days or weeks if you're good at playing trading, and will probably ROI in a few months if you invest it in altcoin be launched.
I agree with you . with the current situation, the altcoin is a careful choice. if you choose the other may be a tough job. please try another, try trading altcoin as a primary choice.

Hi,
Not sure if it is for this toipc, please move it if needed. As the title says, I want to put $2k in something new, not buying coins, I have them in btc. What can be the best ROI and most secure way?
What you will do if you have additional 2k?
Thanks
See as you have that amount in bitcoin , i would suggest you to buy other crypto currencies with that money.
As bitcoin is also a crypto currency and once was very cheap. So you can buy crypto currencies like
Ethereum (ETH)  or monero (XMR). Since they have a scope of getting famous.
So i would suggest you to buy these crypto currencies as one day even they can have prices similar to that of bitcoin currently.

Are you sure that altcoins investment will be safer and profitable all the times ? I am also having some good experience with altcoin investments still I am afraid to recommend altcoins here for new people.
Because it would be hard for most of the people to find out will concept based altcoins for investment purposes. They might get struck with any of bump and dump coins too.

the question is whether you want to go the easy route or the hard route and how much profit you want.
the easy and lazy way is to just buy bitcoin with $2K and holding it for a couple of years and enjoying the profit.
the medium hard way is to start trading, lending and some investments if you found a legit place.
the hard way which can give you the most amount of profit is to start your own business. sit down and think about what you can do and what can be profitable if you do it. look at what is missing from the world you live in and try to offer that as a service and make money from it. it would be a long and hard way but if you come up with a good idea you can really make large amount of money in no time.

I will suggest you to invest in the altcoins to make more chances to increase your profit . No doubts that most of the investment are risky and always have risk to scam . So here It will be more better that you should invest your bitcoin in 10-20 more popular altcoins to make sure profit and second advice is not to invest all of your bitcoin for a single altcoin .
In this way if your luck is good then you will surely get 20-30% profit with your bitcoin .

I will suggest to not to invest the whole in the particular thing/project because in this virtual world of money anything may happen at any time , so we need to think and do our work wisely so that we always got profit with very less risk .
I will suggest to invest in the altcoins lending . I mean transfer you bitcoin in the Poloniex like exchange and  buy some dash like popular altcoins and offer your altcoin or bitcoin at the rent at your desired interest rate .
