Look how much the Max Keiser 1 of 100 #34 card is going for on Scarce.city: https://scarce.city/auctions/btc-trading-cards-max-keiser

My mind is blown

I love that the card is currently at 0.2BTC ~$5700 with 18 hours to go, but Max Keiser said in a tweet that if the auction goes over 5k then he will let the winner take him to lunch in Miami 2023. I suspect this has significant influence on the price currently.

Here is the tweet

Still wow.

If you want a card, I'll sell you Hal Finney 1/100 for $5000 and go to lunch with you also  Wink.

Interesting. I didn't see that tweet before I saw the auction. I have an unopened box of the first edition BTC Trading Cards Orange Pill in a Pack sitting on my desk right now. There could be a Max Keiser in there, there could be a Hal Finney, who knows. I just can't bring myself to open it yet. I kinda want to leave it sealed for the next 10-20 years and see where the BTC trading cards company goes

Anyone have any series 1 boxes or packs for sale?

I haven't even seen these cards show up on eBay.  It's crickets on there, or maybe I'm not searching correctly.

NOW I find out about these, AFTER they are sold out.  Sheez.  Sad

Are there any other crypto-currency related trading cards out there???

You can still buy these

Better looking cards imo, they have a good following here from a few dedicated members

Wow, I ordered 2 boxes of these and 2 days later they sold out. So glad I was able to get my hands on them before series 1 was gone

I have opened a few more packs.

Here are my best pulls:
All common/base cards
2 of 2 Pacific Bitcoin Cards
All Blue "rare"
All Red "ultrarare"
3 of 5 "Legendary" (2 yellows)
No 1/1s
No Easter Egg "Lost Cards"

I am finding that completing a full set will be close to, if not nearly impossible due to the rarity of the Legendary, and Easter Egg cards. Sad
Has anyone else besides xSlyy opened any of these packs?

Satoshi loves sleazy bitcoin too - Ordinals
Without the added bonus of redemption cards - the hunt doesn’t seem near as fun as the cardsmiths cards. Will probably still buy a few but there’s nothing like pulling a redemption.

— I also wish there was an actual discount for buying a whole box (this goes for cardsmiths as well)

All you need is... Bitcoin
I received the card packs today. I see in the OP that the Pacific Bitcoin themed card pack was only available at the conference... However, I ordered two base packs and for some reason I also received the PB themed pack as well, a nice little surprise I guess! Below I posted the rarest cards (#1, #5, #21) from the three packs I opened, but I also wanted to share some more in this album as I didn't want to messy the thread. https://postimg.cc/gallery/7qQXN25

In the 30 cards, my favorites by far are the Bitcoin themed cards (obviously) and the backs of the cards have a lot of great knowledge jam packed. The BTC theme cards really hit the important points. However, I am not a fan of the advertisement cards, I understand why, but in three packs opened I received six 'resource' cards. For reference, the thickness on the base cards are half as thick as a base card from Cardsmiths. And side by side the holos on the PB cards have less sheen.

I don't feel I'll invest in more packs, but all in all it's another novel collectible and another opportunity to orange pill more people!

They are interesting.
I have opened both packs and enjoy both series.

Personally I feel like the Cardsmiths are a tad bit better quality in the base cards.

The Cardsmiths numbered cards are very nice hologram/gemstone finishes, but were frequently warped/curved.
I only have one Numbered BTC Trading Cards numbered card (1/100) and it is very nice. Thicker, shiny, and flat. Stamped number x/100 on the back.

Of note, there is always a "rare" (blue rare, red ultrarare, legendary, 1/999 or 1/100 etc.) card in each pack of 10 BTC trading cards. So I guess this is nice to always get some kind of a "hit".

I definitely think it is worth picking up a pack or two, but like I said before, because of the numbering, completing a full set will be very challenging for the Orange Pill cards. The "base set" includes rare numbered cards. Cardsmiths has a base set and then rare/numbered cards of the base set image. Very different numbering systems.

I'll post some pics of my cards once I open some more packs! I hope others post theirs too.

Looks interesting, i might buy a pack or 2 just to see what they are like, but I can't afford to start another BTC card collection just yet  Tongue

Has anyone compared these to the Cardsmith product yet?

I have purchased cards for my own collection. I simply hope to provide some information for the collectors on this forum who may be interested in including them in their collection. I hope people enjoy collecting these cards, I really like many of them. Please share any thoughts about the project or pictures of any rare cards you may pull in your hunt for a full 65 card set! Completing a full set will be challenging given some numbered cards are very limited (1/21 and 1/100), but the hunt is all a part of the fun. I can't wait to see what others pull from their packs.

Thanks for looking,
Geophphreigh
