since there will be more UniJoin and [banned mixer] free raffles soon, i wanted to bump this very helpful thread again Cool
there are now new users in our great collectibles section who have also acquired a taste for crypto collecting and to make sure that these users and old hands don't miss anything, they should take a look at this thread and this script/bot Wink

unless I misread the OP it said something about programming the bot to pick up on key words like "free raffle"

if its tags - that doesnt bother me but when people start using bots just to catch raffles instead of actually being active on the forums and engaging the forums - meh.

No I believe you are correct, you can be alerted for stuff with a string in it, but I don't bother since I don't care that much about free raffles, I'll see them when I log in ofc...

From the bot's menu options:  (Note, I have not tried a "Phrase", just keywords like Lealana and Casascius for example. Or AUCTION etc ... But even no on that one for me, I don't need a phone buzz for that either... For me it's best for manually adding/removing any auctions I'm following so I can see bids when i'm afk etc ...  Adding threads to follow can be handy ... Tongue

From bot menu:
Quote
Tracked Phrases

Add or remove phrases so you get notified when they are mentioned.

Personally if I could omit people who use bots from my raffles I would. If they cannot find it on their own they shouldnt be joining raffles.

It would only work if you mentioned them when you made the post.

Wow, this is awesome I had no idea that such a tool existed. I am definitely going to be downloading this bot!

i am very happy that i could reach you with this thread. because you can see from your example that there are still users who do not move in all sections of the forum (in this case the meta section) and therefore miss some interesting things/threads and do not have them on their radar at all

The Stone the masons rejected was the cornerstone.
Pretty sick tool. Probably been living too long without it already.
Time to try it, just hope it doesn't get too distracting, though.

Anyway, kudos to the dev TryNinja and anyone promoting that thing.

Indeed it is...It keeps me up to date with any mentions and also anytime I get Merits!

Always surprising me in a good way!

Cool bot.  I didn't know of it's existence before now either.  Kudos.  Great that development on it seems to be active as well.

bot asks for my UID. where do I find mine? it can't be the password coz the password does not work.

Did try entering your Bitcoin private key?  Just jokes...  Don't do that.  As others have stated, don't ever enter your passwords into any 3rd party site ever.  You should use unique passwords for every site you visit and if compromised like you did with your password here, you should immediately change it.  There are sharks everywhere in crypto and the fact you mentioned you did this probably already has some of them plotting on how to get you to give up your password.  Stay safe.  Good luck!

Thanks for this info...I really had no idea about this or others and always relied on the forum email to notify of any new posts or topics.

I installed the Telegram bot and its amazing as I receive not only my username mentions but also any Merits posted!

Thanks for sharing with the rest of the community!
