Agree with you, also flying under the radar but, just starting to catch mainstream eye is the 2014 Lionel racing die cast cars,  advertising dogecoin and reddit on the car.  The regular 1/64th scale are nearing 500.00 I believe there were around 500 total made but there was the platinum series 1/24 scale of which only 34 were ever made.  Like the topps cards this is also a national brand, can't believe I missed it.

I have to agree.  The timing is perfect with Doge and Elon Musk, so even those that didn't follow before are now following.  My hunch is that many of those buying like baseball cards and cryptocurrency and they see how things can go to the moon quickly.  They know that even though the base cards aren't super rare, they are much lower than the circulating supply of the coins and tokens they follow.

It won't take much to send us to the stratosphere from here.  350 is the new base for a PSA 10.  Didn't think that would happen this year.  If this turns out not to be an anomaly, we can see 1500 by year end.

I thought I read somewhere that its estimated there are only 1,100 of the base rookie card.

What you are seeing is the beginning of a national brand displaying cryptocurrency getting noticed by mainstream collectors.  We all know the one off makers of our coveted cryptocurrency coins but, it usually takes a national retailer to bring awareness to the mainstream collector.  Topps is nationally recognized and with a little luck we can see massive jumps in value as supplies become scarce.  Well, this is my opinion anyway

I've sold a few to the same early adopter folks for a long time.  Seeing lots of new names now.  Some mention they are buying for grandkids. 

what I mean is ive been bidding some of those up .. and I wasn't bidding on that one ..

Yes. The all-black ones are an x box Exclusive.   The one being auctioned now is an example.   There is also the #d/5 red and the unseen #d/1 silver.

Until the silver is found,  unopened x boxes will sell for a premium.

Good way to stack base cards. Buy as you find them.   Also look for sellers not getting the memo (on crypto card appreciation) that sell cards as a complete set, lots, or pick your card auctions.

Some people will also buy psa 9s and crack them open to send them to bgs in hopes of getting a 9.5.  That half grade might be huge in the future

no gold border .. no AG back or other .. just one one ordinary mini

as far as base card raw I have been buying them as fast as I can spot them ..

was paying 4.00-17.00 .. then 20.00 now its costing 30-40 per even in a 3 card lot but I am close to my goal
for base cards so I'm gonna overpay a bit longer to get to my goal .. I had a dozen or so I bought at 4.00 so
I had room to dollar cost average up

Base cards are becoming very hard to find.  But...the word is getting around slowly to some not paying attention.  One can buy the whole 350 card base set for 50 bucks still.  someone has a 350 card complete gold set for 800 and that may be a good way to get a gold border crypto card.  There is also a full-size, 350-card ginter x set for sale.
