according to him there is no way for him to provide a cryptographic evidence from a gox account.
I confirm that the sender from a pooled wallet like gox does not control the sending address afaik.
Please provide claim number, status and amount in your PM (or simpler, the wqllet key that contains all three information).

Someone I'm in contact with sent me a transaction from his Mt.Gox account to a missing instawallet of mine.
He has access to it actually and we are in contact (finally!).

How can he send me a proof that the transaction come indeed from him?
I'm not a user of Mt.Gox and according to him there is no way for him to provide a cryptographic evidence from a gox account.

edit : can I ask him to send to someone from Bitcoin Central staff a satoshi to prove he own that said address ?

Thanks for your input and response.

Since I still have yet to receive any PM response to the messages you specifically requested that I PM you (« Sent to: Boussac on: September 04, 2013, 03:45:19 AM »). Here it is again for the whole world to see. Verity in numbers Wink

Hello Boussac,
Thank you for this opportunity to retrieve my wallet with the confirmation code I received, in lieu of my instawallet address, which i've subsequently lost. I have received my other wallets, and I'm honored by your honesty.
I have a several confirmation numbers and I may have already received a pay out on one or more of these, but my largest wallet is the one I have not received a payout from yet, and i believe the confirmation number i received was as follows:

8378256f-feb1-43b0-a872-fdc9c632dc49

Please let me know if you require any further documentation in order to process this claim.
Thank you,
Michael

Please let me know if my claim is too small to take priority at this time, or if there is any other info I can provide for your convenience. Thanks.

Yeah, another suggestion is to put tvbcof on your ignore list like I did.
This will compress the thread by a factor of ..

Gee, I spend all this time trying to help you engineer a successful operation and this is how you treat me?  Me so sad Sad  Now I just want to crawl into a hole and die.

We do not have the resources to baby sit the claims until they can run.
Its too bad that the thread has been poluted by a few posters with unjustified accusations: that makes it more difficult to follow the thread for our instructions but the instructions have been posted.

Here is a hint for next time, or for someone else who may be in this situation:

Specify the procedures in the first post, and edit them as they change or as new ways to make the material more clear spring to mind.  You can also 'reserve' the next spot if you are quick.  That can be used in some sort of a strategy.

I recently took part in a group buy which spawned a thread of 150 pages or so.  Obviously it was silly to try to back through the pages to find references.  The author was smart enough to do the trick I mentioned and it is a simple thing for users to find the first post to check up on the latest pertinent details.  I did this a lot.

+1 It's not rocket science..

Ya, Boussac actually did what I suggested.  He just wanted to be whiny in the above post I think.

Hi Boussac,

I made a claim on June 29th but, after the email I received confirming that the claim was filed, have not received any further updates. Could you please advise what I can do to prove I was the owner of the instawallet?

Thanks again for your quick response, Boussac.
I have now sent you the confirmation number your claim process provided me with last April 10th.
Please view your PMs, and let me know if there is anything else I can provide in order to help you process my claim.
Cheers,
Michael

Why don't you send the numbers to me and Arsy via PM ?
I have already privately messaged you (« Sent to: Boussac on: July 24, 2013, 12:36:11 AM »), but have not yet received a reply.
I will do so as soon as possible!
Thanks for you quick response.
Cheers,
M
The problem is that you are not supplying the claim numbers. Without it I cannot do much.
If you want me to help you, it helps that you help me help you.
In general, replies come in the form of a payout. If the payout is not coming that is because we have not received the necessary information.
We do not have the resources to baby sit the claims until they can run.

I filed a claim for my wallet last April, but I did not anticipate having to file the same claim twice and subsequently have misplaced my wallet address

That's a misrepresentation of the claim process. You did not have to file the claim twice.
All you had to do is confirm that the amount we had on records for your claim matched the amount you expected.
A necessary step for us to clear our liability given the particular design of instawallet.
Your wallet key would have allowed you to confirm your payout in one click.
It was never a good idea to "misplace" an instawallet wallet key before the wallet balance was spent.
It is a still a good idea to keep the instawallet key until the balance is refunded.

however I still have the confirmation numbers provided by your claim form.

Why don't you send the numbers to me and Arsy via PM ?
