Hi Zoomhash, I see on your 10 pack you show
10 piece barrel connectors so that you can use your own computer PSU
is this something that plugs into a standard computer PSU or do we need to wire it up. Pictures would be nice

If you have the patience, I would order it from ZoomHash, it's much cheaper.
It also leaves the guesswork out of the equation.
But any 12V 7AMP PSU with a 2.1/2.5mm barrel plug should work.
I am not 100% certain on the barrel plug size but I know a lot of PSU manufacturers make them fit both sizes.
It will appear as 2.1/2.5mm in the description.
I will have them in stock in about 3-5 days or you can buy it from others. The minimum requirements are 12v 5amps the size of the barrel connector is 5.5mm outside diameter and 2.1-2.5mm inside diameter. This is the most common connector size. They should be around $10 on ebay and $50 at radioshack
. We are also working hard on adapters so that people can use regular computer PSUs and can connect as many ASICs to those as the wattage allows
. I think that would make things much much much easier.The multi connect PSUs that come with gridseeds have gotten bad reviews if you read lightning asic's threads.

I can't recall if the cable that came with mine was in the GridSeed package or not.
It could possibly not be ZoomHash's fault but the manufacturer.
It was def outside the package - theres almost no room to fit anything else in the little box.
Anyways - I'm trying to splice the end of an AC adapter that is too weak to provide 60 watts to a molex connector plug so I can use my computer's power supply. Does anyone know if the inside should be positive or negative?
They should take care of you.
The PSU powering mine is positive center.

I'm also curious about whether you accept credit cards with batch 2/3. I just placed an order for 2 via credit card, and if you deliver I will buy some more from you

Did you end up doing this? I'm trying to figure out if the inside is positive or negative? Can someone please test their working power supply with a multimeter for polarity?

Mine arrived in one day to San Diego. Unfortunately, Zoomhash sent a Micro-USB cord instead of MINI-USB that is required to connect to the unit. Now I need to go hunting for cables.....
