INT Chain AMA(Jan. 12th) Summary


Q1: Anyone know what amount of INT would currently get you into the top 100? In order to get non Thearchy rewards do you need to run a node as in always have your computer on or use VPS? Or can it be like NEO and you just need to hold your INT in a wallet in order to be able to vote?
A1: How to get you into the top 100 depends on the number of votes rather than the holdings of INT. After you successfully register as a candidate node, you will be added to the node list and need not to continuously run the node. As long as someone continues to vote for this node, you could become a reward node (not a Thearchy node) based on the number of votes.

Q2: Will it be displayed how many people are voting for each node in terms of sharing ratio?
A2: All voting information is stored in the block. Users can check it on the explorer. In future we will improve the data visualization for users to conveniently view the information.

Q3: If I don’t change the next hour then my vote remains in place and continues? In that case would I keep the int mortgaged the whole time?
A3: Yes, you are right.

Q4: Can one not mortgage 100 INT and select yourself as one of the 20 nodes?
A4: You can vote for yourself, but no matter who you vote for, you have to mortgage your INT first.

Q5: To get the votes from other people. Do they create articles? advertisement? community based in telegram? mouth to mouth?
A5: This depends on the candidate node.

Q6: Can the mortgage be used for other purposes than voting as well?
A6: At present, the mortgage is only for the purpose of voting.

Q7: Will every TheArchy node generate the same number of blocks?
A7: In a voting cycle, the blocks are generated by 13 Thearchy nodes in turn. In theory, if all 13 nodes can normally generate blocks, they should generate the same number of blocks.

Q8: how are you gonna deal with chain size data? how much gb are you expecting int blockchain to store per day? could china firewall cause congestion problems with foreign nodes?
A8: We have set the limit of block and tx. How much data is generated each day depends on the transactions on the chain. China’s firewall has a certain impact on network connectivity, but we have made corresponding adjustments on our P2P protocol. Currently congestion has not occurred in the heterogeneous network.

Q9: Will all candidate nodes, regardless of reward/Thearchy status, require a static IP?
A9: Frequent IP change will affect the connectivity of the node. It is recommended to choose static IP.

Q10: What is the minimum broadband requirement for running a candidate node in the top 100 that’s not Thearchy? Would a typical home broadband connection be accepted?
A10: A typical home broadband connection is enough to be the top 100 candidate nodes except for Thearchy Nodes.

Q11: “There is no lock-up period and users can unmortgage them at any time.” What’s stopping a user from trading their INT tokens daily, and only mortgage in their tokens during the round of voting and reward snapshot, then un-mortgage them again for trading?
A11: Once a block is generated, the system will record the rewards in real time. All rewards will be issued by the system within 7 working days.
Once a voter cancels the votes for trade, it will not affect the rewards before the cancel but affect the rewards after the cancel.

Q12: “If a Thearchy Node did not generate any block during a consecutive 2160 blocks generation period, it would be automatically removed from the node list and disqualified from block generation in the current and next 24 rounds (about 24 hours). We will immediately launch a temporary election.”
How will this election be carried out?
A12: This temporary election will start after the current round of voting.

Q13: Could you confirm that the first 13 Thearchy Nodes will be controlled by INT?
A13: At the beginning of the node election, there will be 13 Genesis Thearchy nodes. Once the votes of an eligible candidate node exceed any Genesis Thearchy node, it will become a new Thearchy node. The previous Genesis Thearchy node will be replaced.

Q14: Can the number of Reward nodes be extended over the Top 100 in the future as the number of Thearchy Nodes increases?
A14: The future node plan will be updated according to the performance of the main chain and the development of the community. The number of Thearchy nodes and reward nodes would be changed by then, and the specific timing and quantity depend on the actual situation of the main chain and the community.

Q15: Could you set-up a cap (limit) to the number of votes one can use for him-self? Especially for the Thearchy Nodes.
A15: There is no limitation.

Q16: Could you confirm that, in one INT wallet, when voting for other candidates the INT ratio is 1 INT = “x” votes. With “x” being the number of candidates, up to 20. Also, every INT used to vote for our-selves has a 1:1 ratio, meaning once used for us it can not be used for anyone else?
A16: 1 INT equals 1 vote. 1 vote shall be given to 20 different candidate nodes at most. I will give an example for you to better understand it. If your wallet contains 30 INT, you can mortgage them and earn 30 votes. These 30 votes can be given to 20 different candidate nodes at most. Each node will win 30 votes and you can just vote once for each candidate node. In addition, these 30 votes cannot be divided.

Q17: Will the first Thearchy Nodes share their rewards with their voters? If so what % do you have in mind?
A17: Whether or not the first Thearchy Nodes and all the subsequent Thearchy Nodes will share their rewards is determined by the Thearchy Nodes. We can’t estimate it.

Q18: Would you be able to run multiple Thearchy nodes? If so, might that create an unwanted situation?
A18: Thearchy nodes require high hardware configuration and votes. If you have the strength, you can run multiple Thearchy nodes.

Q19:Can we use VPS for nodes or do we need to run it on our own hardware?
A19: You can use a VPS or a physical server.

Q20: Does faster hardware and Internet connection lead to higher rewards?
A20: No. In theory, as long as the Thearchy nodes can generate blocks in turns, the reward is the same.

Q21: Does a Reward/Super Node ranked #20 Get the same payout as a node ranked #80?
A21: Not the same. The specific reward depends on the ratio of votes obtained in each round of voting to the total votes of the top 100 candidate nodes.

Q22: Does top100 get part of the 20% “voting node” rewards as well?
A22: 20% pool reward are distributed by the INT Foundation to all voters, regardless of whether it is the top 100 candidate nodes.

Q23: How do you plan to avoid the emergence of cartel, like Lisk and Eos ?Also, can one single entity have various Terarchy nodes ? That would be an issue.
A23: The design of 1 vote to up to 20 candidate nodes is to prevent the emergence of cartel, like Lisk and Eos.

Except for the INT in the exchanges that cannot be voted currently, we now have more than 80,000 wallet address users. We believe that these users will rationally vote for the candidate nodes with complete information disclosure, great network configuration, and normal function of bookkeeping and block generation.

Q24: As described in the Incentive Details, “for each block, the Thearchy Node will receive 1.9025874 INT.” Should this amount be distributed among the 13 Thearchy nodes? If yes, how would it this be? Equally, depending on performance features or anything else (ranking,…)?
A24: It won’t be distributed among the 13 Thearchy nodes. The reward belong to the Thearchy node who generated the block.

Q25: When a node receives INT rewards, can we choose which wallet the reward goes to?
A25: At present, the system will automatically grant the reward to the node address (namely the wallet address) instead of other addresses.

Dear INT community members,

Greetings to you all!
“Time flies so fast, day by day left us.” We have ushered in New Year 2019. I'd like to extend my sincere New Year wishes to you all.
2018 has been a full year, and we approached it with steadfast determination.
This year, we advanced the main chain solidly, from the main chain 1.0 and 2.0 to testnet, we accomplished the development and improvement of the core design of INT Chain.
This year, INT Chain’s first use case product- INT’s Esurfing Blockchain Router, designed and developed in partnership with Zhejiang Telecom was produced and marketed. We made the first step in applying INT Chain to the real world.
This year, INT domestic and international community developed rapidly, reaching 108,701 members. I had in-depth communications and discussion with members from France, Germany, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, China and other countries. I am grateful for your ongoing support and encouragement.
This year, we steadily pushed forward the INT globalized trading plan. INT was listed on OKEx, Bitfinex, FCoin, etc.
2019 will see both opportunities and challenges that will require us to stay true to the mission and continue moving forward bravely.
In 2019, INT team will make all efforts to upgrade the mainnet, encourage R&D of DApp, build global ecosystem and develop use case products.
Looking at the world, a boom and bust cycle occurs repeatedly in market. R&D PROGRESS
Current Progress

1. Continuous technical perfection of INT main chain

  • Since the launch of the INT Chain testnet and related products on December 14, the team has been continuously collecting feedback from users on product experiences such as testnet, web wallet, explorer, and full-node wallet. In the meantime, the team discussed corresponding solutions. At present, all the problems in the testnet and related products have been solved. (100%)
  • The relevant security audit work after the INT Chain joined the Slowmist Zone is still in an orderly process. The team highly values the problems raised by the community members in the bounty programme, and quickly proposed countermeasures and implementation plans. At this stage, all problems have been solved. The team will continue to pay attention to other problems that may occur in the bounty program. (100%)
  • The technical team has completed the optimization of the tx and block broadcast process, simultaneously, a series of stress tests around the main chain have come to an end. (100%)
  • The destructive testing and business testing on all rpc interfaces have been completed. Recently, the team has also improved several query interfaces. All work around the rpc interface is now complete. Next, the team will continue to complement and improve based on developer’s feedback and new business features. (100%)
  • Concerning the main chain memory release issue, the technical team completed the storage optimization of temporary files and logs to further optimize the disk storage space and enhance the user experience; (85%)
  • With respect to the impersonation problem in the P2P network, after the initial draft of a solution, the INT technical team conducted repeated evaluations and verifications on the solution ideas and methods. Finally, a complete and effective solution was confirmed after discussions on the technical details. (100%)
  • At present, the preparation work of the INT mainnet launch has been started. The INT team is working day and night to sort out the relevant information and codes of the mainnet, in order to facilitate the user to remove some unnecessary logs. (70%)
  • The revamp of the INT official website has been completed and relevant optimization work on content, layout and interface is complete. (100%)

2. INT wallet and blockchain explorer improvement

  • In response to the feedbacks from users, the INT team actively followed up and solved all the problems. The team will further improve the product according to the user feedback. (100%)
  • The new blockchain explorer test and optimization work continued, and the technical team fixed several bugs. The relevant problems have been solved, and the team will continue to follow up to solve problems that may occur; (95%)
  • The technical team carried out a series of fixing work on the full-node wallet after receiving the feedbacks of users, and new functions required have also been developed. Next, the team will continue to follow up the optimization of product features and usage. (98%)

BUSINESS COOPERATION

Current Progress

1. INT Esurfing Blockchain Router

The whole system development and hardware testing of INT Esurfing Blockchain Router had been completed and the Router is running perfectly. The team is continuously monitering the running status. As the first use case product, INT Esurfing Blockchain Router has drawn great attention by INT global community. The first batch of pre-sale products had been produced and was delivered on January 1st. Now The operation platform of the router is live now.

2. Partial delivery of equipment for the prison project in Lishui, Zhejiang

The equipment installing and commissioning for the prison project in Lishui, Zhejiang is progressing in an orderly manner. In response to the problem of equipment system operation scenario switching, after the technical team repeatedly adjusted and modified the parameters, some of the parameter ratios were finally determined, and the equipment commissioning work achieved initial results. For the operational status and performance of the delivered equipment, the technical members continue to follow up and test repeatedly to ensure that the equipment is running flawlessly. Up to now, 80% of the project funds have been received, and a small amount of equipment is still in tight commissioning.

3. Promotion of the passenger station smart IoT project in Quzhou, Zhejiang

Previously, INT was invited to participate in the bidding for the smart IoT project of a passenger station in Quzhou, Zhejiang. With outstanding technical advantages and rich project application experience, INT was recognized by the project party and won the bid immediately. Recently, the results of the bidding have been publicized. The two parties are communicating in-depth on the specific details of the contract and discuss the application of technology. The INT team explains the underlying technical logic and implementation methods to the project party.

Next Step Plan

1. Follow-up on the use of INT Esurfing Blockchain Router

Since the operation platform of the router was live, INT will continue to follow up and pay attention to the use of INT Esurfing Blockchain Router, solve the problems that users may encounter during the use, and further optimize the products for related problems.


2. Promotion of the passenger station smart IoT project in Quzhou, Zhejiang

Recently, the result of the bidding was publicized, and INT became the technology supplier for the project. INT will conduct technical discussions and scenario analysis on some demands conveyed by the project party in the discussion, initially put forward technical ideas and make further communication with the project party in order to promote the unification of the two sides in technical cooperation.

1. Yin Xiangyu, the Head of INT China, attended 2018 Blockchain Meet-up in Beijing

On December 28th, 2018, the Blockchain Meet-up was held in Beijing. Mr. Yin Xiangyu, the head of INT China, on behalf of INT, attended the event. The meet-up was organized by the well-known domestic media Nvxia blockchain and gathered the most credible project parties, representatives and investors to talk about the current market and solutions.
During the meet-up, Mr.Yin Xiangyu was invited to share the current progress and future plan of INT, which aroused much attention from the present guests. When talking about how the blockchain project survives in such a market, Mr. Yin Xiangyu said: “To operate a project as a company, to develop a core product and business model that belongs to INT”.



2. INT attended the GBLS Global Blockchain Annual Ceremony

On January 7th, Mr. Yin Xiangyu, the Head of INT China,was invited to attend the 2018 GBLS Global Blockchain Annual Ceremony held in Hangzhou. This ceremony was hosted by China’s well-known blockchain conference brand GBLS, and jointly participated by authoritative experts and scholars in the field of the blockchain, media and institutions. This ceremony was defined as the first event of blockchain industry with 1,000 industry giants, 2,000 media, and 3,000 companies.
At the meeting, Mr. Yin Xiangyu conducted in-depth communication and discussions with industry experts from DApp development service providers, private cloud providers and public chain project parties about mainnet technology, applications, project experience of INT. Meanwhile, on behalf of Mr. Kong Huawei, Mr. Yin also received the annual blockchain art expert award from the conference. In the year of the blockchain industry's development, INT has always sought the best application of block technology in the field of Internet of Things with the deepest temperament, based on the present and looking into the future.



3. INT Chain corporate video was officially released

On December 29, 2018, INT Chain corporate video was released on YouTube, Tencent, Iqiyi, Youku, and Tudou.
This video briefly explains the advantages of INT blockchain technology in the development and application of the Internet of Things. It introduces the underlying technology, algorithm mechanism, R&D application and project cooperation of INT. 4. Video of INT Chain Node Plan Preview

On January 8, 2019, Dr. Xiang Ruofei, the chief scientist of INT, announced the time of the INT Chain node plan release in the form of video, and called on the community to actively participate in the node election.
Dr. Xiang mentioned in the video that 2019 is a crucial year for INT Chain. INT will officially launch the mainnet in mid-to-late January and accelerate the construction of a new IoT ecological journey. In January, INT will start the election for the Thearchy nodes. Any individual or organization can participate in the election according to the guidelines or requirements of the node plan. The Thearchy nodes will be elected by the INT global community and become the partners of the INT official team to perfect the operation of INT Chain.


5. INT’s new official website was officially released

On January 9th, the new official website was released. Considering the mainnet launch requirements and brand positioning and suggestions from community and experts, INT Chain revamped the official website, redesigning the overall style, interface, functions, etc. The new website includes more sections such as explorer, wallet, application, team and Dev. community.

The upgraded website provides a brand-new platform to broadcast INT project and make community better understand INT Chain and better engage in the building of INT global IoT ecosystem especially with the approaching of mainnet and node election.

6. INT Chain Thearchy Node Plan was officially released

On January 10th, the INT Chain Thearchy node plan was officially released globally. The plan includes the node plan ecological blueprint, incentives, penalty mechanism, election details, node configuration, vote guide and other information. Individuals and organizations interested in participating can start deployment and prepare for the election based on the guidelines and requirements of the node plan.
The basis for Thearchy Node generation is the INT consensus algorithm - DPoS+dBFT, which realize high TPS while ensuring the fairness of node election. The “Thearchy Chain” is the core of the INT’s entire architecture, which consists of servers provided by device manufacturers, community leaders and ecological enterprises (namely Thearchy Nodes). The basis for Thearchy Node generation is the INT consensus algorithm -DPoS+dBFT, which realize high TPS while ensuring the fairness of node election. INT Chain “Thearchy Node” will be generated by the community voting and there will be 13 Thearchy Nodes. INT Chain Node Plan Ecological Blueprint

INT Chain Node plan is divided into two phases:

1.Mainnet live phase: the number of Thearchy Nodes is 13 and the rest are candidate nodes. Top 100 nodes voted are eligible for incentives, called “reward node”. The Thearchy Node provides INT Chain with networking, storage, computing, etc. INT Chain encourages each Thearchy Node to build and develop their own communities and hopes that all the global community members with different backgrounds can jointly grow the whole INT Chain global ecosystem.

2.Node expansion phase: it could happen at least one year later. The specific time and number of nodes depend on the development of the community. The longer-term node expansion plan will be determined by the community in the future.

INT Chain Node Election Details (Mainnet Live Phase)

1.All registered nodes are considered as candidate nodes. Please check Annex 1 for the Node Deployment Process. A block is generated every 10 seconds. The voting circles every 364 blocks successfully generated, approximately 1 hour. The top 100 candidate nodes will be recorded as reward nodes in real time every time a block generates, and the top 13 reward nodes will be the Thearchy Nodes in the voting cycle.

2.In the initial stage of mainnet launch, considering the security of the mainnet, the INT team will initiate the first 13 Genesis Thearchy Nodes and will provide 5,000,000 INT for voting for the 13 Genesis Nodes.

3.The Thearchy Nodes elected are responsible for block generation during the next round of voting as well as other related works such as transaction verification, bookkeeping, block packing and confirmation in the INT Chain. The Thearchy Nodes will receive the corresponding rewards and be supervised by the INT Chain global community.

4.Any individual or institution holding an INT can vote for candidate nodes during the election. Each INT can vote for up to 20 candidate nodes. Voters can cancel or change their votes at any time. The corresponding INT for voting will be locked and cannot be traded. Voters can cancel their votes at any time for trade.

5.The candidate nodes can come from industries include but are not limited to: Internet of Things, media, exchanges, capital, e-commerce, logistics, biomedical, network security, etc.

6.The influence factors of becoming a Thearchy Node include server configuration, network bandwidth, deployment status. There is no requirement for holdings of INT.



INT Chain Node Incentives

In order to better maintain INT Chain network, the INT team expects to spend 20 million INT per year as node rewards by 2023. The reward will be all paid out of the INT Chain Foundation's dedicated wallet.

The specific reward distribution rules are as follows:

1.The Thearchy Node will receive 30% of the rewards mentioned above. Whenever a block is generated, the Thearchy Node who is responsible for generating the block will receive the corresponding block reward. It is beneficial to motivate the node maintainer to continuously upgrade the device and improve the TPS in the whole network.

2.The Reward Node will receive 50% of the rewards according to the number of votes every time a block is generated. This rule is to solve the problem that the distribution rule is too single and improve the activity and stability of the entire network.

3.20% of the reward will be distributed to all voters. This is for encouraging the whole community to actively participate in the voting.

Remark: All the rewards will be issued within seven working days.

After the success of block generation, Thearchy Node can obtain not only the rewards issued by the INT Chain Foundation and the block reward but also the transaction fee for the corresponding block which will be granted in real time. At the same time, reward nodes can obtain a certain amount of rewards according to the above article 2).

In the future, any adjustments to the above distribution rules may be proposed by any one of 13 Thearchy Nodes based on community opinions. After more than 2/3 of the Thearchy Nodes agree with the proposal, the new distribution rules can take effect.



INT Chain Node Incentive Details

1. As a Thearchy Node

  • Block reward

For each block, the Thearchy Node will receive 1.9025874 INT.

Note: 1.9025874 INT = (total reward amount per year/total block number per year) *30%

  • Transaction fee

The Thearchy Node will receive the transaction fee for the generated block in real time.

2. As a Reward Node (Thearchy Node is also a Reward Node)

The Reward Node will receive INT according to the proportion of votes obtained in each round of voting as long as a block is successfully generated.

For example, in the first round of voting, when the 50th block is generated, the Candidate Node A ranks 50th and the number of votes obtained at this time is 1000, and the total number of votes on the whole network is 10000 (which is the total votes of the top 100 candidate nodes at that moment), therefore, the vote ratio of the candidate node A is 1000/10000*100%=10%, and the candidate node will obtain 10%*3.170979=0.3170979 INT.

Note: 3.170979 INT = (total reward amount per year/total block number per year) *50%

3. As a voter

Assume that from the beginning of the first round of the voting cycle to the end of the second round, voter A, voter B, and voter C simultaneously participate in the voting, and the sum of votes is as follows:[/size][/font]


The system will calculate the reward at the end of the second round of voting:

(Remarks: 40+50+50 refers to the sum of all valid votes at the end of the second round of voting cycle; 364 refers to the sum of blocks in the first round of voting cycles; 1.2683916 refers to the number of INT that voters will receive when each block is generated)

User A will get: 40/(40+50+50)*364*1.2683916=131.91273 INT

User B will get: 50/(40+50+50)*364*1.2683916=164.89091 INT

User C will get: 50/(40+50+50)*364*1.2683916=164.89091 INT

If a Thearchy Node did not generate any block during a consecutive 2184 blocks generation period, it would be automatically removed from the node list and disqualified from block generation in the current and next 24 rounds (about 24 hours). We will immediately launch a temporary election.


INT Chain Thearchy Node Configuration Requirements

Thearchy Node is required to own a strong performance server. Otherwise, the function of Thearchy Node cannot work, and the Thearchy Node will be automatically disqualified. For all Thearchy Nodes, the server configuration must meet at least the following specifications:



FAQ

Q: What if I don’t have the technical skills to run a node, how does it work, what return can I expect, what support will INT give to me, etc.
A: Please refer to Annex 1 (INT Node Deployment Guide) to complete the configuration of the node running environment. If you just want to become a normal node (i.e. a candidate node), there is no need to have a dedicated server and the normal network environment will be fine. If you want to be a Thearchy Node, you must meet the INT Chain Thearchy Node configuration requirements. When a candidate node is listed in the top 100 list in each round of voting cycle and in the block generation period, it will become a reward node and obtain rewards.

Q: Will the elected Thearchy Nodes be able to share a portion (%) of their profits to their voters? If yes, will the Thearchy Nodes decide how often (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) they distribute these rewards?
A: The INT team will spend 4 million INT per year as the reward to encourage community members to participate in the voting. Whether Thearchy Nodes share their profits or not depends on the Thearchy Nodes themselves.

Q: Is there a minimum time (lock-up) when mortgaging INT tokens? If yes, could you explain the impact on vote + profit sharing when un-mortgaging our tokens.
A: There is no lock-up period and users can unmortgage them at any time. Once unmortgaged, the corresponding number of votes will be canceled and so will the possible voting rewards.

Q: When running another node than Thearchy (Supernode for example), do you also need to store your tokens in the INT-wallet? If yes, can you run such a node (Supernode in our example) and vote at the same time for a Thearchy node? In that way you can generate double profits?
A: No need. Only when the user wants to participate in voting, INT must be stored in the INT wallet to mortgage and vote.



Annex 1. INT Node Deployment Guide

Preparation: Please register a new INT wallet address through the Web wallet, save the node address and the corresponding private key.

1.Start a peer node according to the GitHub tutorial (https://github.com/intfoundation/int).

2.Register a candidate node with INTjs code or RPC request (">http://docs.intchain.io/intjs/#register>). If successful, you can find your INT node address in the node list page of block explorer.

3.Try to vote for yourself by using the web wallet to see whether it is successful or not.

4.Start a miner on the server by using your private key of the candidate node. Only starting the miner can a Thearchy Node generate the blocks.

Remark: After finishing the above process, the node address will be automatically updated to the node voting list on INT Web wallet and the node list on INT explorer.

5.Please fill out the Annex 2-Node Supplementary Information Form and send it to [email protected]. The supplementary information will be updated to the node list on INT explorer for people to learn more about the node.

Xiang Ruofei: INT Chain Thearchy Node Plan to be released on Jan 10

INT Chain was founded in August 2017. During the past year and a half, we have been committed to developing and improving our main chain to hopefully contribute with a truly open-source, decentralized and efficient blockchain in the IoT industry.
 
2019 will be a crucial year for INT Chain. In mid-late January we will launch our mainnet and continue on our journey to build a brand new IoT ecosystem. You will see numerous DApps developed on INT Chain, more real world use cases, international INT Chain meet-ups and events, a global INT community, and more. What is even more significant in January is our Thearchy Node election. To ensure real decentralization of INT Chain, we adopt a consensus mechanism of DPoS+dBFT which require that all the Thearchy Nodes (super nodes) are elected by the INT community. The Thearchy Nodes will represent the will of INT supporters. Together, we should be responsible for ensuring the running of INT Chain and be involved in building INT’s new IoT ecosystem.
 
On January 10th, 2019, we will release the official node plan and collect related questions for our second AMA. By then anyone who are interested in being a Thearchy Nodes can get ready for the election according to the deploy guide or other documents. And I would like to encourage our INT community members to participate in the Thearchy Node election or be a running candidate.

In addition, 5G networks will be put into commercial operation next year. INT Chain will evolve into the unprecedented stage by integrating with 5G telecommunication infrastructure. Due to the mainnet swap of INT, exchanges INT listed on (OKEx、Bitfinex、Ethfinex、Coinegg、FCoin、Allcoin、Coolcoin、Yex、Debi) will successively pause the deposits and withdrawals of INT until the mainnet swap completes. On Jan 4, 2019, 14:00 (HKT), OKEx has already paused the deposits and withdrawals. For other exchanges, please pay attention to their official announcements.

During the pause period, please do not deposit INT into the exchanges or withdrawal INT to avoid the risk of losing your tokens, while the spot trading in exchanges remains available. After the token swap, exchanges will generate a new depositing address for your account and the old depositing address will be disabled. Tokens transferred to the old address will be lost.

Exchanges will help complete the token swap for INT in exchanges account. For INT in the ETH wallet, you can start the token swap through INT Web wallet according to the guide after the mainnet launch.

A Recap of INT Chain’s Achievements in 2018

Technology R&D


1. Main chain

INT public chain was first released on 1st February 2018. Since then, INT team has carried out code refactoring and layering, developed an upgraded version of the chain which is more applicable for actual application scenarios in IoT, and released a global public beta version of the chain. After several months of R&D in core design, INT team successfully implemented a P2P network communication protocol, consensus algorithm, and smart contracts, and released a working testnet on 14th December 2018. At present, INT team is following up on feedback submitted by users and community to continue improving the main chain. Mainnet, token swap, and node election are expected to be launched in mid-late January.

2. Wallet and explorer

INT team has accomplished the development of web wallet, full-node wallet, and explorer and is constantly testing and optimizing the products.

3. Official website

In February 2018, INT team completed the first revision of the official website. Based on the requirement of mainnet, the new version of the official website with more functionality and a better user experience will be launched soon.


Business Cooperation

1. INT Chain’s first use case Esurfing Blockchain Router

INT’s Esurfing Blockchain Router, designed and developed in partnership with Zhejiang Telecom was released. Its pre-sale started on the Taobao online store on 11th November. At present, all the pre-sale orders have been delivered to the buyers.

2. IoT applications

INT Chain successively won project bids for a prison in Linshui, and a passenger station in Quzhou, as well as having in-depth negotiations with multiple companies in the fields of smart logistics, smart medical care, smart property rights, new energy, and counterfeit detection.

3. Two “Blockchain + Internet of Vehicles” invention patents

INT team conducted in-depth research on “Blockchain + Internet of Vehicles”, and successfully submitted two invention patents: vehicle overspeed detection module, and vehicle detection system.


Community Development

After a year of development, having already built a social media presence on Telegram, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and WeChat, INT Chain expanded to other channels such as Bitcoin Talk, Medium, Steem.it, and Quora. INT’s domestic and global community reached 108,701 users.

Exchange Listing

During 2018, INT Chain was listed on OKEX, FCoin, Debi, Bitfinex and Ethfinex exchanges. The preliminary globalised trading plan is complete.

Activity Operations

In the past year, INT team held more than 15 online marketing activities and attended over 20 offline conferences in Germany, France, South Korea, Singapore, The Philippines, Myanmar, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Wenzhou.

In 2019, INT mainnet will be released and an ecosystem of DApps will be built on INT Chain. INT team will endeavor to craft INT’s own core products and business model and focus on DAPP development, the global community, applications, and blockchain technology innovation.

Current Progress

1. Continuous technical perfection of INT main chain

  • The INT Chain testnet was officially launched on December 14th. The wallet Web version, explorer and full-node wallet were also released. The team is collecting valuable comments and suggestions from users and discuss and implement solutions; (40%)
  • Since INT Chain joined the Slowmist Zone to carry out the security audit, a number of community members actively participated in the bounty programme. The INT team has communicated with community technology enthusiasts and resolved problems they submitted; (80%)
  • The tx and block broadcast process and the performance of the main chain has been greatly improved. Next, the team will continue to improve performance of the main chain and conduct relevant stress tests; (95%)
  • In the improvement of the main chain consensus mechanism, the technical team carried out a series of optimization work on the consensus of the main chain punishment mechanism. Last week, the technical members found and solve several problems in the main chain punishment mechanism and restrict the amount of Token issued. The data return format of the two rpc interfaces was modified; (100%)
  • Concerning the destructive testing and business testing on all rpc interfaces, the technical team added format verifications for the transaction data and fixed the problems occurred during the verification; (90%)
  • Concerning the main chain memory release issue, since the R&D team has adjusted the core code, it is greatly improved. In order to further optimize the disk storage space and enhance the user experience, next the team will optimize the logs; (85%)
  • With respect to the impersonation problem in the P2P network, the INT team has taken instant measures, drafting a solution and improving it. The testing related to the P2P network is ongoing; (60%)
  • The team has made preliminary progress regarding the revamp of the INT official website and will improve the layout, consistency, typography, color and style. (50%)

2. INT wallet and blockchain explorer improvement

  • On December 14th, the Web full-node wallet was released simultaneously with the INT Chain testnet. As of now, the INT team has received many valuable feedbacks from users, and the R&D team will solve the feedback; (70%)
  • Several bugs found in the explorer were fixed. The technical team will continue to follow up the feedback submitted by users; (85%)
  • The technical team added a new Keystore import function to the full-node wallet and improved the data display, solved the problems found by the users and conducted related testing. (95%)

1. INT Esurfing Blockchain Router

The whole system development and hardware testing of INT Esurfing Blockchain Router had been completed and the Router is running perfectly. The first batch of pre-sale products have been produced and will be sent out soon.

2. Partial delivery of equipment for the prison project in Lishui, Zhejiang

At present, the prison project in Lishui, Zhejiang is in the process of installing and commissioning of smart equipment. In response to the problem of equipment system operation scenario switching proposed by the project party, the technical team initially adjusted some parameters and carried out test adjustment on the equipment, then, further fine-tuning the parameters based on the problems occurred in the test. With the joint efforts of the technical team and the project party, the delivery of most of the equipment has been completed, and 70% of the project funds have been received.

3. Winning the bid of the passenger station smart IoT project in Quzhou, Zhejiang

Based on the previous communication with the relevant smart IoT project in Quzhou, the INT team has been recognized for its technical capabilities and feasibility. Recently, INT was invited to participate in the bidding for the smart IoT project of a passenger station in Quzhou, Zhejiang. In the project bidding, the INT team submitted the project tender and carried out detailed technical discussions on the content of the tender with the project party, and finally won the bid with outstanding technical advantages and rich project application experience. At present, the two parties are negotiating on the content and process of the project contract, and the contract will be signed immediately after the challenge period.

4. Promoting the bidding for the smart IoT project in a primary school in Quzhou, Zhejiang

The bidding of new smart engineering project proposed by the school is still in progress. During the tender review process, the INT team conducted a detailed interpretation of the core technologies involved in the smart IoT project and proposed the technical ideas and implementation details. The presupposition and solution of the obstacles that may occur during the implementation of the project show the extremely high feasibility of the project, which greatly enhances the school’s confidence in project cooperation. The tender is currently under review and it is expected that the school will announce the results of the tender this week.

Next Step Plan

1. Promotion of equipment installation for the prison project in Lishui, Zhejiang

The prison project in Lishui, Zhejiang has been processed for more than half, partial equipment has been delivered, and the remaining equipment is still in the process of commissioning. The technical team will continue to follow up on the problems in the actual installation and commissioning of the equipment. In addition, the fine-tuning of parameters around the system operation scenario switching problem will continue to be solved.


2. Promotion of the passenger station smart IoT project in Quzhou, Zhejiang

Since INT stood out in the bidding for the passenger station smart IoT project in Quzhou and became a technology supplier for the project, next, INT will discuss the contract details with the project side and also conduct more in-depth communication at the technical level, in order to fully prepare for the next contract signing and project initiation.

At 5:00 pm on December 21, 2018, INT Chain’s first online AMA (Ask Me Anything) was held at the INT Chain Offical telegram channel. INT Chief Scientist Dr. Xiang Ruofei was present to answer the questions for the global community users about the testnet, wallet and explorer.

As the first attempt of the INT team, the online AMA won the high attention and active participation of global supporters. Since INT released the AMA notice, many investors actively submitted questions on Reddit. Next, INT team will organize a series of AMAs regarding mainnet technology, nodes, DApp, ecological construction, and applications. Community technology enthusiasts and investors are welcome to pay close attention to INT official news and actively participate in discussions on related topics.

2. INT attended the Block Club Global Blockchain Industry Application Alliance Forum · Hangzhou

On December 17, 2018, the BlockClub Global Blockchain Industry Application Alliance Forum, jointly hosted by the Block360 and Jiran Blockchain Research Institute and supported by a large number of media was held successfully in Hangzhou. The theme of the forum was promoting and accelerating the development of blockchain technology. INT Chain Testnet Release


INT public chain was first released on Feb 1, 2018. On the basis, INT team carried out code refactoring and layering, completed an upgraded version which is more applicable for the actual application scenarios of the IoT and released the global public beta. After several months of R&D, INT team successfully accomplished the core design such as P2P network communication protocol, consensus algorithm and smart contract, as well as the development of explorer and wallet.

Today, INT Chain testnet is officially released, together with the wallet (Web version), explorer, and full-node wallet. We hope that the INT community will actively participate in experiencing and testing the testnet, explorer and wallet and contribute valuable optimization suggestions to help perfect the mainnet and make it live together with us.

1. INT Chain Testnet

Achievements

INT is an economical-driven blockchain application platform and interaction standard for the Internet of Things. The parallel chain structure connects devices to each other to form a distributed network, and the consensus algorithm is used to ensure the legal trustworthiness of transactions between devices. Different types of equipment can access different parallel chains to avoid the explosive growth of the general ledger.

The INT Chain achieves:

1)  High performance
INT Chain adopts limited Thearchy Node as a block producer and DPoS+dBFT as block generation consensus, which ensures the consistency and security of network data and high TPS. Under the current environment the TPS can reach 2000. In addition, the consensus algorithm realizes a fast speed of transaction confirmation. General transactions can be confirmed within 10 seconds, almost catching up with the existing payment methods such as VISA and SWIFT, which makes daily payment possible.

2)  High stability
The unique bdt-p2p network ensures a very high connectivity rate among INT Chain nodes, typically over 95%, and a stable and decentralized consensus mechanism for the entire network. The Thearchy Nodes are determined by community vote, which is more trustworthy. The dBFT requires at least 2/3 nodes to agree on the generation of each block, thus ensuring the consistency of each block data (In theory, it will never fork) and the stability of entire network.

3) Low transaction fee
The INT Chain will be designed with a very low transaction cost, with a minimum of 0.005 INT, which makes it easier to trade on INT Chain and deploy various applications and makes high-frequency small transactions possible. As the performance of the main chain is further improved, the cost will be further reduced.

4) Easy business development
The semi-customized smart contract makes it easier and more convenient to develop complex applications in the main chain. If you want to develop the INT Chain application, you only need to use Node.js to write the corresponding business logic and update the plugin corresponding to the node.

5) Issue personal token with one-click
For issuing your own token based on INT Chain, you don't have to write your own code to deploy but just send a normal transaction. There is no need to worry about various vulnerabilities or attacks.

INT wallet is a digital asset wallet based on INT Chain, which supports tokens based on INT Chain. The release is a Web version supporting creating wallet, viewing wallet information, transferring INT and INT Chain-based token, token mapping and node voting (mortgage, voting and unmortgage) and other functions. The function of receiving test tokens is available on wallet, and users can test the wallet-related functions by using the test token.

  • The R&D team found and solved the problem of block synchronization interruption in several complex network environments. The relevant test work has been completed.   • For the main chain security audit, the technical team has completed the fixing of related bugs.   • Regarding the main chain performance, after the last round of stress testing, the R&D team optimized the process of tx and block broadcasting, which greatly improved the performance of the main chain. (85%)

  • After the R&D team made in-depth adjustments and improvements to the core codes, the main memory release has been greatly improved. The technical staff have made planned cutting and cleaning up on the problem that the log occupies too much disk, and next will gradually remove some unnecessary development logs. (80%)
  • The second round of testing work related to the full-node wallet is coming to an end, and the relevant adaptation debugging work for the windows version has been basically completed. Last week, the INT team solved the problem of the full node wallet block data and user data storage directory, and the related testing work is ongoing. (90%)
  • Last week, the technical team improved the main chain consensus mechanism and the main chain punishment mechanism and fixed the bugs generated in the two-transaction verification.

2. INT wallet and blockchain explorer improvement

  • The R&D team has completed the development of Chinese version of Web wallet and solved several issues related to the user experience and well prepared for the Web full-wallet version.
  • The new explorer testing and optimization is ongoing. This week, some problem related to user experience and data display problems are solved.

  • Up to now, INT Esurfing Blockchain Router developed with Zhejiang Telecom has completed system development and hardware testing, including router proofing, stability testing, development and two-round testing of IOS and Android APP, Web version and background system development, APP interface program function debugging, interface improvement and so on. All system functions of the router are running perfectly. 2. Continue to promote Hubei Industrial Construction Group Dongxi Lake Project

  • In the past two weeks, INT signed a technical cooperation agreement with Hubei Industrial Construction Group. 2018 is drawing to a close. With numerous days and nights of researching and developing, INT team had been continuously optimizing and upgrading the main chain, completed the core design such as P2P network communication protocol, the consensus algorithm and smart contract and will bring a truly open, efficient, open source and the most applicable network to the Internet of Things.
Today, we announce with excitement that the INT Chain testnet will be launched on December 14. Reporting Stage
The reporter visits "SlowMist Zone" website and goes to "Submit Bug Bounty" (URL:https://slowmist.io/en/bug-bounty.html) to submit a threat intelligence. (Status: to be reviewed)
Processing Stage
1. Within one working day, the SlowMist Security Team will confirm the threat intelligence report from the "SlowMist Zone", follow up, evaluate the problem, and feed the intelligence back to the INT Chain contact person in the meantime (status: under review).
2. Within three working days, the INT Chain technical team will deal with the problem, draw conclusions and record points (status: confirmed/ignored). They will communicate with the reporter if necessary, and ask the reporter for assistance.
Repairing Stage
1. The INT Chain business department shall repair the security problems in the threat intelligence and update online (status: repaired). The repairing timeframe depends on the problem severity and the repair difficulty. Generally speaking, it is within 24 hours for the critical and high-risk problems, within 3 working days for the medium-risk problems, and within 7 working days for the low-risk problems. The App security issue is limited by the version release, and the repairing timeframe is on a case-by-case basis.
2. The reporter will review whether the security problem has been repaired (Status: reviewed/reviewed with objection).
3. After the reporter confirms that the security problem is repaired, the INT Chain technical team will inform the SlowMist Security Team of the conclusion and the vulnerability score. They will issue rewards with the SlowMist Security Team (status: completed).

A critical vulnerability refers to the vulnerability occurs in the core business system (main chain core business and wallet core function) which can cause a severe impact.
It is including but not limited to:
- Smart contract overflow and conditional competition vulnerability
- Consensus layer vulnerabilities or serious Ddos caused at a lower cost, directly resulting in the crash of the main chain or the failure of block generation.

- Gain control rights by invading server through the full-node P2P network

INT—The Purpose Built IoT Solution


One-size Does Not Fit All
The true value of the Internet of Things comes from creating an ever-expanding ocean of data from a world of interconnected devices that would enable artificial intelligence to make lives easier and the integration of technology seamless.
This future will only be possible if there is a shared standard of communication and unified network where all devices can seamlessly integrate into a new internet, Web 3.0. Currently, the data collected in this quickly expanding IoT ecosystem is stored on data islands dedicated to that device or manufacturer. The lack of standard and availability isolates the data from use in a larger computational network, limiting the usability of the data collected to a small group of narrow applications.
The difficulty in achieving a universal IoT network is to satisfy all needs of all devices and uses in one easy to integrate system. Thus far the diversity of needs has prevented any one project from being successful. No one-size-fits-all approach will work here. There are the simple devices that will communicate small amounts of data very frequently and there are more complex smart devices that will need to communicate large data sets or require external input or data storage, along with a myriad of in-betweens.


Why INT
INT recognizes that any single chain solution would not be able to satisfy the requirements of the IoT. What is needed is a dynamic and scalable network that can support high throughput, smart contracts, data storage, configurable privacy, and decentralized applications to support any use case. INT has therefore built a heterogeneous multi-chain network that allows for use case defined subchains which are supported by the main chain. Each subchain being purpose-built to suit the intended use.
Segregating each use into subchains allows high specificity in their design, optimizing it for that purpose while segregating any congestion to that subchain, increasing throughput, and stability for the whole network. With each subchain passing transaction data up to the main chain for further validation, block generation, and block storage, all subchains have access to the information within other subchains, opening the doors to wider applications.
INT also understands that standardizing communication into the network is easier than standardizing the way devices communicate. With that in mind, INT designed and developed a blockchain router in partnership with Zhejiang Telecom to not only standardize IoT device communication into the INT network but to also act as a gateway for resource sharing. This will allow users to share idle bandwidth, storage space and computational resources for DAG based P2P file sharing (IPFS), content delivery, edge computing and get paid for doing so.
All of this sets the foundation for a use case driven, reactive, scalable, and adaptive network to serve as the base for the future IoT ecosystem.

R&D PROGRESS
Current Progress

1. Continuous technical perfection of INT main chain

  • The preparation work related to the release of testnet V3.0 has been completed, and the R&D team has started the final testing. In the past two weeks, the team has discovered and fixed several issues of block synchronization interruption in complex network environments. (90%)
  • The security audit work on the main chain is still in the normal progress. The main bugs discovered have been fixed. In the next step, the project team is ready to launch a bounty plan for the community to bring together more project technology enthusiasts and experts and work together to complete a safe and reliable main chain.   • The improvement of the performance of the main chain is continuing. Last week, the team completed the first 7-day concentrated stress test. The testing indicates that the performance and stability are both performed well, and some problems were found and solved. (85%)
  • In the second round of testing on the full-node wallet in the past two weeks, the technical team added several menu bars. As of last week, the adaptation work of the Windows version has been basically completed, the second round of test lines will be complete. (85%)
  • Concerning the destructive testing and business testing on all rpc interfaces, the technical staff fixed several bugs caused by the abnormal parameter input and the irregular format of the post request, which increased the robustness of the node, and the more detailed testing is necessary.   • Due to the deep adjustment and improvement of the core codes, the speed of optimizing the memory footprint release problem needs to be slowed down to ensure the stable operation of the main chain and the accuracy of code modification. The team is continually optimizing the issue that there is a lot of storage space taken up. (75%)

2. INT wallet and blockchain explorer improvement

  • The second-stage testing of the full-node wallet is continuing and the discovered bugs have been fixed. In the next stage, the team plans to add the Chinese version of the web wallet and has started the preparation.
  • During the new round of testing, the team added the pending transaction record and completed the deep optimization of the performance of the browser home page. Now, the team completed the modification of the thearchy node registration transaction data structure and continued optimizing the performance of the home page.

2. Determination of Hubei Industrial Construction Group Dongxi Lake Project

  • At the beginning of this month, the leaders from Hubei Industrial Construction Group conducted an in-depth inspection in the smart town and achieved satisfactory results. Afterwards, the HICC clearly stated that they will continue to cooperate with INT team on the application of blockchain technology and scenarios. Therefore, following the preliminary consensus reached on the technical feasibility and implementation ability of the Dangyang project, the technical negotiation are making good progress. At the same time, the Dongxi Lake project has been successfully determined by HICC and INT team after a rapid communication and negotiation. Up to now, the two parties have completed the signing of the agreement, while the project payment process and billing procedures are in progress.

3. Equipment installation testing for the prison project in Lishui, Zhejiang

  • After relevant smart information management equipment has been installed at the beginning of the month, the equipment commissioning is still ongoing. Last time, the technicians found some problems in the actual process of equipment commissioning, and the corresponding solution currently has been implemented. The project party raised the question to scene switching in the operation of the equipment system, which require addition of technical parameters on the operating environment. On November 19–20, 2018, the 2018 Blockchain New Economy Hangzhou Summit, hosted by the Hangzhou Municipal Government and organized by the Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, the Municipal Finance, the Xiaoshan District Municipal Government, and the Hangzhou Daily Press Group (Zhejiang Huamei Holding), was held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. The event is the first and the only blockchain conference hosted by Hangzhou government. The government hopes to build a highland for Hangzhou blockchain innovation, use cases and talents, create new application scenarios and new application models, making efforts to consolidate the status of Hangzhou blockchain capital.


As a high-quality project in the blockchain Internet of Things field, INT received the invitation from the organizing committee and attended the summit for two days. During the event, INT representatives enjoyed wonderful speeches and trend sharing from many honored guests of government, business and academic fields. Update on INT Esurfing Blockchain Routers


INT started the online pre-sale of the router half a month ago. Here is a progress update of the product.
Sale Channels
There are two retail channels for the router: online and offline. The online pre-sale on Taobao was the first mover sale with marketing. Offline sales will be launched through Zhejiang Telecom channels once the product is delivered. The INT team is further negotiating with agents to push the sale of the router in all possible channels.
Product Production
Hardware testing of product samples was completed successfully in the early phase of hardware R&D. The first 2000 orders of the router, 1000 of which were pre-ordered by Zhejiang Telecom for offline sales, is currently in production.

INT Chain Cooperating with Bucky ChainSDK to Co-build IoT Ecology


Based on shared understanding of technology and a common goal of promoting the ecological construction of IoT, INTChain has established a strategic partnership with Bucky ChainSDK. The two parties have assigned several technical staff to form a project team and set up R&D centers in Hangzhou and Shenzhen respectively.

Currently, the INT’s R&D team has completed basic performance optimization work for Bucky ChainSDK helping to solve a number of performance problems in the IoT scenario, conducted research and experiments in the heterogeneous double-chain consensus algorithm, and completed plenty of work on the evolution of the Bucky ChainSDK consensus algorithm as well as the expansive design of smart contracts. INT played a leading role in the R&D of smart contracts, testing and preparing for complicated scenarios in applications.

With the support of Bucky ChainSDK, INT Chain was able to verify existing research results in IoT and consensus algorithm, refined token-related functions for the existing smart contract, and realized INT’s own token standard. In addition, INT modified the transaction model and added price and limits of sending transactions, which makes the transaction fee more reasonable and limits the size of a single transaction. INT improved the transaction pool, added the function of legality check of the transaction and the order of multiple checks before entering the transaction pool, and set the restrictions of the generated block size to ensure the security of the main chain and prevent some DDoS attacks.

Bucky ChainSDK is a blockchain application development company founded by Liu Zhicong, Thunder former chief engineer, technical VP and Shenzhen local leader and Liu Yujia, Thunder former technical director. Most of its R&D personnel are from well-known Internet companies with rich system architecture and project application experience.
