I'm typically pretty skeptical about ICOs, haven't bought into any since WAVES almost a year ago. With that being said, Chimera looks like a really cool project. It's ran by a reputable dev with a lot of time spent on these forums, and it's got a clear and plausible mission. I'm definitely going to buy in.

Building on this: another recently announced upcoming ICO is MobileGO. MobileGO works with Gamecredits to act as a universal currency on a mobile gaming marketplace. If you think there is some possibility that cryptocurrency might play a role in videogames in the future (hint: it absolutely will) it's your best bet to at least check this project out, it's super cool and very well implemented.

There are some interesting projects coming out this week and in March, the likes of Qtum, Humaniq, (Augmentos ICO is on) also The legends room pre-ICO is coming up in 2 days time, this is a new market for crypto investors to explore with a potential great reward for investors.

It looks like half of the ICOs this year are based on ETH. I think they just want to harvest ETH hype, but when there will be some problem in code, they will sunk like DAO.
The Eth hype is not that strong this year so I think the projects with the best odds are those bringing something really new, and capable of working regardless of Ethereum's performance. So far I have not been able to identify good ico projects that fit these criteria.

SuperDAO, already has decentralised Poker app in beta, and other apps in development, plus DAO organisational structure is prepared.

Wow that's the new generation of the DAO? With bigger threshold rather than The DAO project.

It looks like dealing with gambling mode.

SuperDAO has been in development for +2 years, they will have learnt many important lessons from the mistakes of The DAO.

Decentralised Poker is a killer app to get users from outside the crypto community.

I want to invest little of my balance into ICOs. I know they are controversial. Just want to try it.

What upcoming altcoin ICOs would you recommend to invest in?
Just go to thread Marketpalce (Altcoin) You can see those new icos there that has a good potential to grow or to make you profitable by the end of the month. ChronoBank is best but if you don't type it try to find another icos that you suit in your taste. All icos are the best but make sure that you are going to made some review first.

There is very less activity on the thread. And "DAO" is a washed-up word. Seems to me that not many people believe in the project or are interested to invest into it.
Anyway, I will watch it.

afaik they are still in stealth mode, so are flying under the radar on purpose. My sources tell me they are in private slack for last two years working.

If they release a viable decentralised poker app it'll be one of the most exciting crypto projects of 2017, but like you, I'm waiting to see what they release before investing. Missing the 40% early bird discount wont matter much if they succeed,  the marketcap will explode into the billions.

Let me just warn you.

If a user has the ICO's signature, then they bought some and are trying to convince you to buy some too. Take their biased advice with the smallest grain of salt.

Interesting. Where can I find the altcoin ICO radar? Here in the forum? Never heard about it yet.

I want to invest little of my balance into ICOs. I know they are controversial. Just want to try it.

What upcoming altcoin ICOs would you recommend to invest in?

I like to use that radar something website to see the upcoming ICO's. You can also look at how much BTC they have reunited, and then you can look at how the profit looks for investors... in most cases is not very good, but in the few occasions where its a success, it works real good.

I dont see a single ICO worth investing at at the moment so i would like to know more.

Of all the running ICO currently on this forum Chronobank https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/buy-chronotech-time-on-kucoincom-1680361 is one of the most promising and genuine ICO in my opinion.Equibit is also good ICO but I think they can hardly reach their minimum cap as their promotion is weak.
Next month Qtum ICO will be the best choice to invest in.

Instead of investing in ICO you can better check with which ICO got finished and which has hit exchanges then you can buy from that exchange and i am sure that you will get much lower then the ICO price as in starting all bounty dumpers will dump their coin so that is the time to buy them as in future it will rise sure.
