Hi everybody!

Does anybody actually read these posts? Anyway... I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Emilio and live in Argentina. I just heard about bitcoins for the first time in my life about 5 days ago. Now I'm totally, utterly and absolutely obsessed with it! I have been mining since day 2 (at a sucking rate of just ~90 MH/s) and reading everything from economics, ASICs to the history of Satoshi Nakamoto. I have no doubt that bitcoin is the future world currency! BTW, this forum is awesome!

See you around  Wink

Hi, I'm Jarred! I have a Radeon 7870 @1.23ghz and an i5-2500k @4.8ghz. I'm an amateur system builder and just starting to get to know bitcoins and mining!

Hi Jarred. I'm doing some mining too. Even if it's not very profitable it's still a way of buying coins with the money spent on the electric!

How many Mhash/sec are you getting? Are you overclocking it?

Hello all,

We're Quantitative Signals Network. We operate a number of quantitative pricing models for financial markets, providing realtime intelligent analytics based on our proprietary machine learning and signals analysis platform.

We currently operate on traditional markets including FX, Equity, Commodities, and Sovereign Debt. We are expanding our models to include various BTC crosses as well as certain BTC synthetics such as the S&P Futures/BTC Ratio, Gold/BTC Ratio, etc. We will make a formal announcement about their availability as soon as these models have reached maturity.

Our client interface operates on current HTML5 browsers as a RIA over the websocket protocol, also supporting websocket-based feed clients.

Feel free to take a look at us and what we do at https://www.quantsig.net (Chrome/Firefox/Opera).

Regards,
QSN Team

Hi everybody I'm Johnny Flynn from the USSR.
I came on here because I'm a poor boy looking to get some money to make my life less miserable. The website which holds my online litecoin wallet is down and I'm in fear that all of my money has been stolen.  Cry

I can't wait to get into the trades

Its one of the difficulties of living in the UK. Since blockchain.info stopped doing UK deposits, its now very difficult to source Bitcoin in the UK reliably.

I bought my first Bitcoin on Blockchain a couple of days before they stopped accepting UK deposits. I guess I was lucky to be able to buy at all before the option disappeared, but it sucks that it's gone now. I want to invest more.

Yes! I have complained to the Blockchain info website about all their links and ads saying you CAN deposit funds via Barclays Pingit and Sofort. BOTH have been stopped!

E.g.:
https://blockchain.info/
"Buy bitcoins in 10 minutes or less"

https://blockchain.info/wallet/deposit-methods

https://blockchain.info/wallet/deposit-bank-transfer

Since none of these work I've asked them to remove them and stop wasting people's time with false promises. It beggers belief that they are still posting so many links and instructions that don't work!  Angry

Hi,

I've just spent a long, long time getting hold of my first bitcoin. I'm now posting an ad on the Localbitcoins exchange offering to buy more, but want to understand the score regarding escrow (which I outlined in a post elsewhere).

I'm currently trying to open an account with Mt.Gox and Bitcoin Central. Mt.Gox as I understand it are the biggest dealers (90% of trades) but they make you wait 10 days to approve your account. My Bitcoin central account got approved within 3 hours though, so I think they have their act together better than Mt.Gox!

Does anybody here have experience of wiring money to Bitcoin Central?

Herro!

I heard about bitcoins from my brother around Spring Break and decided to jump the ball and get into it. I have thus far found out about a few sites, started to shift my ebay selling to BitMit's, as I loathe eBay fees and ToC's due to digital goods. I'm a married college out here in Arlington, Texas and I'm an avid Dota 2 gamer.

That's an introduction right?

oh! And I speak spanish! Hooah!
