I'm a female Bitcoiner that's just hoping to make a bit out of this. Not only do I have my own college tuitions to pay but I want to help my mother with her debts, so yeah. I am also probably young compared to everyone else being 18.

Ello people. New to this bitcoin thing. Been trying it out for a few days now (sadly went with Nvidia when I got my cards some time ago... they are great for gaming and were king of the hill for F@H).

Tired multiple things and found one that I kinda like for now being with Nvidia and all.
Tons of Info here...getting much better at setting up clients to use for the most part. Wonderful place to start. Thanks guys!

'ello all,

Like most in this thread, I've been lurking for a while, but given the volume of info, I haven't yet had a need to actually sign up and post. However, I am interested in getting in on the current chip buys, so here I am!

Hello,

another newbie, interested in mining litecoin, not sure it is worth it or not.  I have 4 I5-3570K machines mining currently.  20khash/s each machine though.

thanks for the info.

I haven't done any Litecoin mining, but if it's anything like Bitcoin, you'll soon need GPU's in your machines.  I remember reading that ASIC's that could run the Litecoin algorithm will be too costly to supplant GPUs in the mid-term, but I'm not sure which GPU technology (OpenCL, CUDA, etc) will give you the best bang for the watt.
