My name is Steve, I've been lurking the forums for quite some time and have been using Bitcoins for purchases for well over a year.  I have recently decided to start investing more into them since my income now allows for it, I am a web developer and plan on starting to mess around and see what I can contribute to the Bitcoin community.
New guy who has been into the whole bitcoin thing for a while. Never done anything else but read about it though( Embarrassed) so it was time to take the step and download the client and get on with it. Was hoping to sell some filelists here after a while.
Been lurking for a while and mining on eligius for even longer. Would like to post occasionally, and vote in polls that affect where I mine.

Welcome fellas

I'm Dave. Been mining bitcoins since June 2011 and have 4 rigs totaling almost 3gh/s right now on free electricity. I was a member of this forum but lost track of my account. Now I'm here creating a new one. I just started mining litecoins as well and hope to trade them for bitcoins once I have enough and can post in the rest of the forums.

Welcome back,

Hi everyone.  First post.  Is anyone here a vendor who accepts bitcoins for actual goods?  I am wondering if you see Bitcoins as a competitive advantage giving you more sales or just a useful payment method?

Bill

Hello all, Paul here.

I made my first bitcoin out of thin air (and GPU cycles) a week ago, and today spent it at pyramining, which looks like a very cool idea.  Mining without the mining.

On other hand, mining is pretty addictive, and my little nvidia gpu is looking pretty sad, more so now that pyramining has joined p2pool, which is where I made my coin.

I am toying with the idea of getting an AMD gpu, 7 series.  I do some gaming too so it won't be single use.  Decisions.

I note that btc is going up well against the USD and AUD, I finally have a way to purchase online, so bought a small amount the other day, which are already worth more than they cost.

All is cool.

don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

Hi,

I am looking for a bitcoin community which I can trust. It looks like I found it.

Thanks,

DT

I also love the fact that most of the websites that I am interested in use this board for their support solutions. Great concept!!

Hey everyone,

I'm glad I found the forum and am looking forward to learning from the more experience members.  I've done some playing around with BTC (buying, selling, generating), but nothing serious.  I'm looking to delve deeper and learn all I can as well as give back as much as I can.  As with any new member, I'm sure I'll make some mistakes along the way.  I'm not a "flamer;" rather, I prefer to learn and interact with fellow nerds.  I'm glad I found the forum and am looking forward to interacting and getting to know everyone.  Smiley

Peace,
C

Hello, all.  I’m Junko.

I first learned about bitcoins just a few weeks ago when I was looking for US friendly online poker sites and found Seals With Clubs Poker. At first, I was like, “WTF, Bitcoins? Hmm… well, it seems like these bitcoin things are worth something. What the heck, I’ll give it a go.” I’m now up to 2.225 BTC from playing their hourly freerolls.

While playing and building up my roll playing poker on Seals, I’ve been learning about btcoin from here and other sites. I only wish I had learned about them sooner.

Anyway, to make a long story even longer, I bought 25 bitcoin yesterday and hope to make more through trading and playing poker.

Thanks to all the members here who have freely shared their knowledge, insights and opinions on this forum in all aspects regarding Bitcoin. Its been a great help for a bitnewb like me to get started and get more in-depth information from others who actually own/utilize bitcoin. I look forward to learning more.

Hopefully in the future, when I become more knowledgeable and expert, I’ll be able to contribute something to the excellent discussions here and maybe help out other newbies.

Cheers!

Look into my company for a investment on the GLBSE https://glbse.com/asset/view/BITCOINMINV and welcome!
