Hi there
I'm new to this forum, but I got some ups and downs with bitcoin already. This forum looks like a great BTC source!
And I need a post to PM Smiley

Hello good people. My name is Tom, and I've been into bitcoins for a short while now. I first became familiar with them being on Tor, and then started to hear about mining. I have a passion for building computers, so it's a shame that PC rigs are on the way out soon. Would've loved to have been around in the golden GPU days. But ah well, life's timing is a mystery. I'm still going to buy some bitcoins and invest a little into them.

Hope to get to know some of you in coming time.

hi I'm Alex, I just wanna ask Diablo a question but now I have to post 4 random posts. Personally I think this restriction is kinda stupid.

You can directly PM him if you want to.

Just an average guy with an average job!

Hiya ladies and gents,

Just signed up after hovering around the site and reading a fair few comments around the board. Figured I'd need to be able to interact in other parts of the forum eventually so this is my introduction to you all. I'm new to bitcoinin/mining and only recently found out about this excellent crypto-currency after a friend of mine graciously told me about it. When I first heard about it I kicked myself for not having the slightest idea about it's existence (and that's amazing for me considering I'm a real geek when it comes to pc's and internety things!). I could have been rich if I'd have started back when it was introduced - well kind of since I've only got perhaps a little under 2BTC from a weeks' worth of mining. Small change in today's standard I know! haha Wink

Anyway, a little off track... So as I was saying, I'm a newbie and I also mine. I've only been at this for about a week and it's been an awesome and overwhelming experience thus far. I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the much talked about BFL product line series so I've been procrastinating in upgrading my rig just yet. You can find me (idling) in #bitcoin-otc or browsing the forum around here so shoot me a pm if you'd like to have a chat or perhaps know a little more about me or whatever...

Thanks for taking the time to read my rather long post which really didn't explain anything except that I like bitcoin related stuffs.. but then that's what this forum is centred around tho right? Since I'm new I haven't had the opportunity to update my profile yet but I shall get to that once I get back from work and hopefully that'll be a little more you'll all know about me - Minein' ain't payin' enough right now so can't quit my day job! Cheesy

Cheers,

Joori

Greetz!  I've been in the bitcoin scene for a while, but haven't really gotten into the forums much, just reading mostly.  So now, I want to be a bigger part of the community!  So!  I'm posting my required posts.  Anyway, I've had up to 8 6990's mining previously, and they've worked pretty well.  Looking to offload them now though, looking at FPGA.

Thanks!

GO BLUE!

GLBSE investor, Been a fan of bitcoins for a while now, but just getting into actually using them. Curious about mining, but don't have the startup capital (No, this is not a loan request, but I might sell bonds someday).

After having nearly all of my search queries on specific bitcoin questions (anonymity, use with Tor, encryption methods, history etc) eventually dump me to this forum, I figure it's best if I can interact a bit with the experts.
Thanks in advance to all the pros on here, your advice has helped me start up.

Hello! I'll introduce myself, so that I can go on posting elsewhere Wink.

I've been lurking on the BTC scene for a while and recently started trading in
#bitcoin-otc, username Hunner. I'll sign this message with my gpg key just for
kicks.

I'm a geek and want to try some of the mining stuff, profit or not. We'll see if
BFL follows through on their promises.

Ciao~

please do so! and get a post Smiley
don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

And so here is my first post on this forum. On any forum for that matter. I'm here to learn ever more about virtual finance in general and Bitcoin in particular.

Hoping to talk to ya all more in the future.

I guess this is the place to start logging those required posts, so we can participate. My friend has a BFL Single that she runs at work and she let me bring it home with me this weekend. It runs great but BitMinter does not see it. So at the moment I am "Zara Clueless."
