Hello,

I am tired of big banks abuse and exploitation, so I have decided to find out about virtual decentralized currencies. Let's see how this works...

Thanks

don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

Just wanted to say "Hi". I just discovered bitcoin a couple of days ago.  I've got my wallet going but now need to figure out how to get some bitcoins.  Anyway, "hi everyone".

Also any association of rah and UNIX come fromthe fact that rah is a Mac bigot and as we know, Steve bought NeXT.
That is about as close to UNIX as rah has come.

I suspect he has seen the terminal window, but has never used it, let alone for vi.

I will attest to the fact that rah cannot code himself out of a paper bag.

In fact I can say with certainty that rah and a compiler are just a B*A*D* idea.

He is a great idea guy, he writes (or used to) in English only.

He did however fire Dan Geer from one of his start ups after Dan staged a coup.

I'd be much obliged.

To quote an infamous cypherpunk, "Tee hee".

No, I use a Mac, and no, I couldn't code my way out of a paper bag, and
yes, everybody who actually knows me is laughing, out loud, right now...

And, no, David Chaum would probably not even answer an email message from
me, and, um, hire with *what* money, exactly? Can I have some?

BTW, it's Anguilla, if you want to call Uncle Fed (FED is conspiracy-lingo,
ask Steven Horowitz), and yes I did spend half of kindergarten and all of
first grade in an Anglican school in Charlotte Amalie, but I spent way more
time being educated, if you call it that, in Texas, Alaska, and Missouri.
Musta gotten the "Britishisms" from reading all the analytic philosophers
at a cheap state school in Mid-Missouri.

Cheers,
RAH

I'm me, you're you. I'm looking into getting a few bitcoins to have about, maybe do some small-scale trading with. I find the idea of them fascinating, but am in no financial position to do more than dick around with them as a hobby. Eventually, I may start accepting cash for them locally, but that's once I can actually find a service that will take my money and let me have my BTC! Until then; Hi.

Yay, hit 40 coins this morning when I woke up! Guess that isn't to bad for a noob farm on a little budget just getting started. With the market would bounce back a little so it was worth it a little more to mine... Guess I will just hold on to the coins for 30 or 40 years and give them to my grand kids or something LOL

Hello!  My name is Matthijs... I'm new here (obviously).  I don't personally see why people have an issue w/the 5-post-4-hour rule due to the fact I've had tons of fun reading stuff and replying in the newbie area, and I'm already almost at 3hrs and have tons more to read.. haha Tongue
