I'm not equipped to mine (Nvidia FX 5200), and won't be investing in a GPU just for the coins. I have some fundamental questions: who issues the coins to miners?  Whose are they before the miners get them?  And what "work" is being performed?  What is it achieving? Why is it worth anything?

Hello. I can't wait to get into the Politics subforum so I can post some rebuttals to the resident propaganda so prevalent there.

Hi Everyone,

I'm John and I have just set up BitLucky.org. It's a Bitcoin lottery with no fees and you can play for any amount you wish. Please take a look at the site (very basic at the moment!) and feel free to email me with any queries. The first draw is on Friday September 9th.

Cheers,

John

We have started accepting Solidcoins for few days already and made two signups. Impressive! We didn't have such luck with Bitcoins, it took much more time to get first one!

Check SultanHost.com for hosting services which are being sold for SC!

I´m a 5ick3uffalo from gogomany and just startet mining with my Saphhire HD5850 (OC with TRIXX: 910Core/300Mem/1.155 v 89C) with GUIminer (-v -w128) @365-370Mhash/s

I have a MSI 7366 Board (mATX) with Intel Quad 4*2.5Mhz (775Socket) and 4Gig Ram.

Want upgrade to two HD5850`s and need to buy a new mainboard. Any suggestions?

Hope my recently bought BeQuiet! 530Watts (80plus) is enough to handle two 5850`s ?!?

5ick3uffalo

PS: where is the Code i can use for forum? I mean that " i´m mining at deepbit with 370mh s"

I just can find it no more i am searching two days now since started miniung :-(

Those pics are awesome! My wife and I were admiring your wood pc case -- pretty cool. We're both into retro-Victorian & steampunk.

Thanks!   Here's a couple of more wooden cases:
