Hello y'all.

I discovered Bitcoin on IRC, so I checked it out.

Currently mining at 4 mhs w/ a CPU, trying to move to GPU to improve that.

Hi everyone, I'm Matt. I'm a teacher, a podcaster, and a tech-enthusiast.

I'm new to BTC. I heard about it on TWiT and found it's exactly the sort of thing I'm into. I'm running 3 low-efficiency part-time miners on Slush's pool, more as a curiosity than to earn money (because at 4Mhash/s they don't earn more than a few Satoshis). Waiting on Dowalla so I can try my hand at the market.

Hello all;

I have successfully established guiminer and connected to slush's pool. But I also want to use my cpu in job with Ufasoft cpu miner. I have checked thread but there is no explanation about how to set it up running on windows 7. Guess, I run it on cmd with codes.

Any help appreciated.

Windows 7 Ultimate Sp1 32bit

Actually this is the way it functions (eventually make a .cmd or .bat file and put the execution command there so you can launch it with a double-click)
Check if GUIMiner has support for Ufasoft CPU Miner if you really need a graphical interface!

Ciao.

Yes, actually any help that you could offer would really help
I have BitCoin and GUIMiner but I am confused as to how to get them to function. :/

Hi,
Where is a good site to go get some bitcoin or free bitcoin?

I've saw that site http://www.Forbitcoin.com yesterday which is like Fiverr but instead of getting gigs for $5- they pay people in bitcoin... pretty cool!!

I'm wanting to also get a bitcoin wallet so when I get some bitcoin I can accept it.

Thanks.

Cherisse  Smiley

When you install the BitCoin client from here: http://www.bitcoin.org/ you will get an wallet and an address where other people can to send coins to (and the coins will be stored in your wallet)
I recommend to read the wiki/help (the link is present to the same site) to learn how to protect your wallet and how to use the BitCoin client application.

Ciao.

Hi my name is Cherisse and I'm just learning about Bitcoin.

I'm hearing so much confusing information about Bitcoin but it sounds really interesting.

Is it true that people are having problems with their accounts at Mt Gox? I want to also sign up for a bitcoin wallet but am not sure exactly where to go.

Need some quick pointers.

Thank you so much!!

Hi Alisa,
As far as I can see you have only one problem:
0 MHash/s     Error 80072EFD:  A connection with the server could not be established
But to find a solution the error code is not enough. It seems that someone (i suppose some miner) can't connect so a server. But you need to supply much more informations (who is reporting the error, what kind(topology) of network you use ... who/were is the server you try to connect etc.

I am setting up my private mining server so I don't depend on public mining services. I tried Deepbit but was DDoSed so I switched to BTC Guild and then he got DDoSed so now I decided to build my own mining pool.

What would be server requirements to setup mining pool that could handle up to 100 GH/s, 200 GH/s and 300 GH/s?
Is there any hosting company you ppl recommend?
What does cause most stress to server when doing pool mining?
Do you guys have any tips for setting up a pool mine?
What is currently best miner for CPU mining?
What is currently best miner for GPU mining?
Why is SDK needed for GPU mining?
Does Ufasoft miner need SDK for working with GPUs?
Does Ufasoft miner automaticly use GPU mining if SDK are installed and there is GPU avaiable?
How does Ufasoft miner work actually with GPU mining?

Regards,
Alisa

This are not problems ... this are information requests ... are you working in a R&D department or in a DR (Delegate Research) department ?

I will try to help you if you come with some real problems ... but i will not do research for you ... sorry.
