If you are ready to going in for long term then Ethereum is great for that but there are other investments that can give you x100 a couple of times

basically, the cryptocurrency that you are pertaining to is already can be classified as a volatile crypto, and that means that if you buy at 92units of your currency, then sell it at 129, you can achieve much about it especially if you've investment much of your money. But do also take into consideration that the market today is increasing.

if you are following an unknown coins then you wont be able to have a good profit even you hold it for a couple of months, i suggest you better look for well established coin like btc in the market, if you see the price it become better and better for the past three months so it is worth investing in.

well, if the Coin or token you have been following has not make any changes to you or you are not comfortable with it you can look at other Coin or token and invest in them. Actually Eth good for investment option but for your case i think patiently is the key because to get profit from investing on crypto not so easy as fliped your hand but let me tell you that market condition in this year were slightly better than last year and if you have more patience to hold a little longer your Eth then it might be will provide you decent profit
