I might be interested into this. I ve been into crypto for a long time and I also invest into a few PoS coins which deal with gaming, Hyper being the most important one.

Nobody would invest in this (hopefully) without proof regardless. I'd personally require a signed, notarized contract, full due diligence, market reports, etc. before I got involved.

Sounds suspect, lots of impressive claims and boasts but not anything of substance. You've got a closed alpha? At least post some links or invite PMs from interested people - and just so you know, I'm not interested, I'm skeptical. This just sounds like a black-hat scam packaged for rich geeks.

I would love to hear more about this. I am pretty big in the MMORPG scene, and even run my own news sites and have a lot of connections in the MMORPG world. This is absolutely something I may be interested in, and if so, I can also get it major publicity, .

Let us not overreact here.

If you can tell us anything, there is no point discussing something we just know nothing about.

We are not wanting to take any money for people but will soon be offering packages that people can buy or invest into when the Beta is available.

There is no evasion, I have evaded no questions. You obviously do not understand the industry. You cant just create a game and spam it to every publisher publicly, you will get cut down and wont get what you deserve.

The servers are up for the closed alpha, I was playing it 2 hours back. But we are unable to publicly show this whilst we are waiting for a contract from a publisher... and really, why should we allow anyone but the team to participate in a closed alpha. When we get to public beta stage you can play. But until then you will have to wait.

Why is there need to be pushy anyway, we are not asking for any funds so how is there a scam in play?

Maybe the Bitcoin community is too narrow minded on scams to be bothered with this sort of project. That's the only impression we have managed to get so far.

The secrecy and evasion is enough for me to call scam. I was almost interested but I looked into setting up these sorts of things and if you have the game coded you only need servers and promotion really.
If your mmporg is any good you could just sell it to any number of game companies for big bucks. They'd even give you shares.
Let us play the game and see if it's any good.

Okay, great. I support that decision and I think that it will be beneficial for you in both the short and long term. Accepting Bitcoin will enable you to get more customers. There are places that I've wanted to buy stuff from on multiple ocassions, but I didn't becase Bitcoin was not accepted. You could at least post a screenshot or two here or in private to some members.

As said above, We don't "need" investors. Its more about being Bitcoin friendly and offering a service... In response to that I am sure it will do good for the MMO to have exposure and a step towards building a good community.


We wont need promotion at this time, We are currently looking for some new staff in regards to marketing though.

As said above, we are not really "looking" for investors but offering an opportunity to be part of the game and get something back from it. This isn't really a typical investment but more a service I guess. Maybe this came across wrong.

 

this could be very interesting if legit. need to see something though, or the option like OG mentioned. If this is for real and you can prove it you should have no problem finding investors.

since you are new I will inform you that this forum, especially this "securities" section has been riddled with scams and rip-offs over the past few years and has zero reputation as a place to find honest deals. you might want to search farther afield for other places to look for investors as pitching here makes anyone look bad by association.

Your idea sounds perfect, We would be happy to use some form of third-party to hold funds of investment and keep details until beta is released with proof of what was offered (Your town/character name for example) Really, It is not about the funds for us but more about the exposure in the community and giving something back, like the perks I listed yesterday.

We do, we actually have a closed alpha version that has been used by the publishing company. We are a small company but have quite a few members, 7 Developers in fact. there are 3 Writers and 2 theory designers (myself being one), There are a few more also, about 22 people involved with the company and some regular freelancers

We have a few very experienced members, 3 members of our team have come from another very famous MMORPG which is currently active. Most members of the team have relevant game industry experience. We have a few newbies as well.

Giving a reputable member access can happen when we go to beta (coming weeks, shouldn't be long now) If you would like to offer yourself I am sure we could give you access. I can PM you details soon if you are interested. I would need to speak to my team lead first though.


Sorry, I had to Google what an altcoin was Just Bitcoin.

We should shortly (We are hoping next week) be approached by the publisher again with an offer. We have had a few offers from different publisher but there is one in particular we are trying to work with, due to their name. We feel there is no-one better to go with right now. It very much depends on them though. You really wouldn't realise how picky they are about things and how they influence game design.

We will post more information on this in the next fortnight to month. As I said, we are just looking for a rough idea of how many people would be interested right now to see what sort of packages we could offer.

Agreed.  A possible way of doing this honestly would be for you to take a loan in USD and offer shares through an escrow until a deal has been signed with the publishing company and you can make all details public.  That should provide you some security for your loan, and give you the Bitcoin exposure you seem to be wanting.  You just don't have the reputation to do it any other way.

Where are the game screenshots?  Surely you must have had some sort of videos and images to receive a response from a publisher.  Who are the players involved?  I'm assuming you have a developer, artist, designer, writer, and others working on this project.  Are they trying to remain anonymous?  Why? 

You mention a beta.  Are you willing to give a reputable member here access to your beta so that they can confirm a working engine prior to you taking investment?

I'd prefer that you do not accept any altcoins, that would be a dislike for many. Although that would be great (accepting Bitcoin as a means of payment). So, when and how can we get more information and/or access to beta?

We will be selling the game on the official game website, We will accept a number of widely used currencies, one of them being Bitcoin. We also plan to allow Bitcoin purchases for add-ons from the in game shop. Extra character slots, skill packs, special armor / costumes etc

I might be interested. I'll be keeping my eye on this. How is this related to Bitcoin? Are you going to accept Bitcoin as a payment option or?
