Yes, the growth is promising. It is not that late, because price is speculated to reach above $2000 in the falling months. As more and more altcoins are getting on ethereum platform, the success of those projects contribute to ethereum. In such a way the combined growth helps gain profitability.

I think Ethereum is one of the best altcoins to invest because it is safer than other altcoins because Ethereum is one of the largest platforms to host ICO and many investors will buy Ethereum for ICO so the price will increase in near future as more people will invest in crypto. Do not believe either the guys who said "If you're happy with slow growth then yes" because I think he did not know what he's talking about

Remember ATH is around $1380 and there's only small gap and etheruem will reach $1k next week maybe. In 2018 there will be some roadmap will be executed by the vitalik butterin and another ethereum core developer. Economic whitepaper and new roadmap 2.0 gives a lot of clue about that.
