I think, no one can predict what will happen with the future, you can predict if the market is still overvalued but it will be different to the whales out there. Currently Crypto has been adopted on a large scale and if you are afraid of risk then my advice you can keep your USDT forever. the main Altcoin market can still increase at any time without needing to see what kind of trend is still happening today.
I have no talent or rather can't know what the future holds. btw How do you know 3 years from now the market is down 80-90%? What if your expected market differs from the trend of previous years? It's much better if you have your own technical analysis of the coins you want to invest so that you never miss the train.

If you can make a profit now, why wait until 2024? You can invest in ETH, BNB these potential coins. The price has gone up a lot for the new development of ETH. Hopefully ETH will touch $4k. Again BNB is far below its ATH. As a result, it is more likely to rise. I think bear market like 2018 will never come again.

The most important task is to monitor bitcoin price very closely add understand the direction it might be going. I think the steps you take to invest in usdt are good because the prices are stable. other than that I am more confident to invest in cardano, ethereum, Btt and Bnb. I think it's much better for the future.
I think if you buy BNB, ETHEREUM and Bitcoin now would be a great thing for you after a year. The 3 coins are potential and has a lot of improvement and products also a partnership to different big projects. Every year these coins will become more valuable.

If you're seeking for coins that has pumped up during ath of btc, and I recommend xrp for that because it already reached an all time high of 3.84. The last it increased it isn't yet closer to that, so we need to grab this opportunity while xrp is at rank #6 as of this time.

People have different profile risk of their investment, longer investment means bigger target. Holding a good coin is always great in crypto, it's not about when you take the profit now or later but how big the profit that you can make from your investment capital. If a person planned to invest for more than 3 years i think it's really good in crypto as we could see the price history of good coins for 3 years range is always make multiple profits

You are talking about the year 2024 when you will invest in alts or there is a coin named 2024 in the market? I asked it because we are in 2021 and 2024 is still a long time so if you really think you can hold your USDT for that long then it will be better to invest in a strong project right now. For that long term, any project will give you 10X if that project is fundamentally strong.
First I would prefer Ethereum and second I would put BNB and I think you should also take dot, chain link, metic, and ADA. The question is why I chose them because they have made a name for themselves in the crypto market. And this project is much cheaper than today. And we can see them at great heights in the future.
