From the word shit, it's a clear manifestation that shitcoins will never be reliable investments. Although we can still diversify our investments and put some minimal amount on shitcoins, but make sure to prioritize bitcoin over other crypto investments. That is to prevent our funds from maximum losses, and by prioritizing or putting a bigger allocation for bitcoin, at least we can say that we will still be profitable in the end even if there are also some minimal losses at some point.

In which ever currency you have chosen to invest your hard earned money on, always make sure that they are worth it, most altcoins are not that bad in as much as most of us are not in support of it because of its unpredicted future, there are still some which is worth our investment, so it’s important that if we are research ful enough to identify those we can invest on them but they are not to be consider to be hold for long time.

Bitcoin and few altcoins are what proven there worth and value which we can now trust them to be a long lasting asset, Bitcoin in particular should be the top among few coins which one can hold for long time, as for shitcoin they should just be consider as a way to buy and take any little profit that it can give in any given time.

When there are discussions like this elsewhere, I've been seeing people claiming that their last hope could be from the shitcoins.
I can't blame them because they've seen people that made a fortune out of it and another reason is they think they're all late buying bitcoin.
And as a common answer, they all think that it's already expensive. Those that were able to make a lot from shitcoins or meme coins, congrats to all of you but we don't have the same crypto journeys.

We're all very smart in hindsight. It is very stupid to regret something when you have already realized that it does not work. Then, when you didn’t know, you made your choice and this experience will always remain with you. You shouldn't regret it. There are coins that gave a lot of X and thanks to which many people got rich. Bitcoin can now double or triple or quintuple roughly, while another coin can give a huge multiplication. If you had a negative experience, this does not mean that you will not succeed in the future. Believe in yourself and everything will be fine. Good luck!

In as much as I’m not not a big fan of altcoin/shit coin I still won’t use the word “never”.
I agree with you: bitcoin is always supposed to be your main investment in the crypto world but if you have some extra money I don't see why not try to take some risks buying some altcoins: sometimes the project can actually be good, sometimes is just about luck, I still remember what happened with Doge and Shiba, both coins are completely useless but there are people who made a ton of money thank to them.

I would never prohibit anyone to buy anything including shitcoin, because it's their money, and it's their choice, tho if I know the person personally I would advice them to do more research on those shitcoin, and prepare for the worst. I know that most of the altcoins is just a fraud, but many of them is also worth buying.

In most altcoins, you find that development takes place at the beginning and then the project turns dead because the developers and primary investors have reaped profits. Therefore, you rarely find projects that have continuous development, unlike Bitcoin, in which almost every year there is either an improvement in scalability or an improvement in privacy.
Actually, it's not just Bitcoin. Altcoins with sustainable development such as ETH also have good potential.
ETH is even the axis of all altcoins and various networks that exist today and the network at layer2 and even layer3 is a continuous development.

Choosing the top altcoins with continuous development will provide consistent profits.

I also invest in Bitcoin and options other than Bitcoin are ETH and some top altcoins.
Diversifying is a good strategy to implement rather than just putting in one basket.

Bitcoin's a solid investment, and I do believe it's way safer than altcoins. But at least two things should be pointed out.
1. Bitcoin has already experienced immense growth, and expecting it to rise 50x, 100x is unreasonable. Even a 10x rise in one bull market sounds very unrealistic to me, but 50x is unrealistic even over the course of a few bull runs, I believe.
2. Altcoins are very risky and tend to fail implementing whatever they were supposed to implement. However, many of them do experience a lot of growth, even if it's temporary. So it's understandable why it can be tempting to some investors.
I've just opened Coingecko and sorted the coins there by the biggest gain over 7 days to find an example. The first one's Rollbit, and in grew 50x since April 2023, so in less than 2 years. That's just an example of the kind of thing that's highly unlikely with Bitcoin these days but can still happen with some altcoins.

Still, a lot of things need to understand in the crypto world and one is to know what is the best coin to invest in. You think OP that altcoins are shitcoins but wondering why many people are still investing in this even though they know that altcoins are worthless? Maybe you also need to understand that not all of them are shitcoins, there are some that you need to find. Besides, earning in cryptocurrency is not all about choosing the right coins or even choosing Bitcoin alone but also, it matters how we manage our investment.

Why do many people know gambling is not good but still put all their money into it? It's all because they want to get rich quickly, and that's why many people still ignore warnings about the risks of investing in altcoins. Altcoins are like gambling, if someone is lucky enough they can become rich quickly.
Not sure what you really mean with "Because they want to get rich quickly" I don't think that's the essence of gambling. Of course, gambling involves money and we all wanna win, right? I guess you stuck with that thinking for a very long time, gambling isn't a rich quick scheme, it is just a way of entertaining yourself with stake. Perhaps you are pointing to those who all in their money without thinking what could happen if they lose.

In my opinion, we should not ignore opportunities beyond bitcoin, but we should also not trust too much in altcoins. They are only suitable for short-term investing and gambling rather than considering them as potential long-term investments.
Long term investment shouldn't be a thing with altcoins, it's pretty much obvious for the past years, they are just hyped coins in the market where they create a very noticeable bubble. Bitcoin on the other hand is such a huge potential winning coin in the long run.

Although some people were pretty lucky to make alot of dollars from shitcoin, but mine didn't work out in any ways, so I would like you guys to shear your ideas on this an the possible solution.

Market players who think about profits, they will play their trading strategies on all types of coins that have the potential to bring big returns in a certain time period including one or two altcoins.

The ease they will get in bitcoin and the difficulty they will receive lies in choosing from the many types of altcoins and shitcoins to trade. When they want to choose some shitcoins, their strategy often misses the goal they want to achieve so they feel that the method and strategy used is wrong.

If they use a strategy to expect large returns on bitcoin over a certain period of time, I think the strategy used is not as difficult as when they choose altcoins or shitcoins. They just make a decision when to buy and then hold it until the time comes to sell again.

You mean Ethereum and the top altcoins are not shitcoins? So how do you explain altcoins like BCH, NEO, and EOS...they used to be topcoins and made many people lose money, and hardly anyone mentioned them? Or most recently, shitcoin Terra, it once reached the top 10 on CMC and also became a scam in 2022. All are shitcoins except bitcoin because there is no guarantee that topcoin or ethereum won't turn out to be a scam project.

The difference is that bitcoin was created to be an asset, a peer-to-peer currency. Meanwhile, from the beginning ETH has raised capital to create project with the aim of making a profit, and the remaining altcoins all follow a similar model. They can become scammers at any time.
If we discuss the top coins, then for example, just take the top 100 coins 5 years ago and see how many of those coins now remain in the top 100. I assume that the same thing will happen in the future, the list of top coins will be updated and we won’t remember many of them , or if we remember, we won’t see them in the top list. I decided for myself that I would invest only in Bitcoin, and maybe this will not bring me the maximum possible profit, but I will be calm about my investment.

You already said everything yourself, some are lucky with investing in shitcoins, while others are not, that is just the way of life, a man's food can be another man's poison, where a man soared and reaped, can be the same place another man would soar and get wrecked.

The same way you have invested money in shitcoins and lost it, same way also have some invested in bitcoin and due to lack of patience, lost as well.

The long and short of it all is that, when looking to invest in a coin for the long term, bitcoin is the best choice, but when looking for short term profit, good shitcoins can give that, but you have to be extremely careful which shitcoin you re investing in.

Why invest in shitcoins when you can invest in highly profitable coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum or other top coins with a clear footprint that have the potential to generate profits especially in the long run, it is recommended for beginners to learn everything about crypto, especially on the coins they are going to invest.
If you don't have enough knowledge about crypto, especially about shitcoins, it's better to stay away from shitcoins if you don't want to lose your investment. And it's a good idea to choose the top 10 or 20 coins to minimize the possibility of big losses and prioritize Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is guaranteed to provide excellent returns, especially in the long term.

In as much as I’m not not a big fan of altcoin/shit coin I still won’t use the word “never”.

There are times when a hype comes or you carry out a research for a shit coin and find some potential because of that you’ll use an amount you can afford to lose and when they eventually lost it you’ll sell immediately and make your profit, so sometime shitcoins still give us profit
… the only time I’d suggest that someone stay away from is when they are new and know nothing about coins/token and don’t have a single clue on what to watch out for when conducting their research that’s when they should back off and stay with bitcoin until they are ready then they can diversify their portfolio.
When I bought it within the shortest period of time it skyrocket ed. When i saw my wallet I thought I was rich with several thousand of dollars. When I want to swap, its said something like low liquidity and the amount to be swapped was even not up to 2 usdt and the transaction fee was way higher Dan what was to be swaped. Msybe it could be that the ones I investment were not good enough.

From what you said, you invested in scam coins that have no liquidity whatsoever and are being created every hour on DEX exchanges. Right? They are even worse than shitcoins, I often call them scamcoins and only newbies fall into those cheap traps. This proves that you are seriously lacking in knowledge, so you should not be curious about things that you do not clearly understand. Staying away from shitcoins traded on DEX and better yet, not investing in altcoins is your best bet.

That's the trick here mate, they use the whale to pump these coins so you would be tempted to buy and after you have bagged their shot coins. They abandon these projects. A lot of creators make profits from these shit coins because sometimes they have been able to rug their project, causing loss to those who invested in it. There are over thousands of altcoins out there today, but just few are managing to meet up with some standards. New coins continue to be listed on the coin market but they have no future and such I don't give any ear to them no matter how much they are today. These new projects are created with the sole intention of making a quick profit for their creators, and they may lack transparency or a genuine commitment to their stated goals.

If you ask anyone why you buy altcoin, you will find that the main reason is financial reasons, either because of staking or because of investment, but the motives for using Bitcoin may be much deeper than that not noly investment but exchange to fiat money, or due to the decentralization of the network, or as long-term savings.

In most altcoins, you find that development takes place at the beginning and then the project turns dead because the developers and primary investors have reaped profits.
