I personally prefer holding large exchange currencies like Binance's BNB, Witnessing the currency's strong recovery in 2019, I believe it is the right choice,
It is one of the leading altcoins in this market, and if you invest in this altcoin, I believe you will always be profitable in the long run. If you invest in altcoins other than the top 100 coinmarketcap, there is a high risk that you will lose money and even those projects may die in the future.

Me too but I just give a maximum cap for each coin that I hold it in my wallet. Im still holding BNB, OKB and Kucoin shares as the products of these coins are very useful for the community.

Exchange's coin can be considered as the best choice right now.

#SWGT PRE-SALE IS LIVE
My Altcoins list: Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Zcash, Dash and Monero[/b]
It's your choice and I respect that but I would love to remove Bitcoin Cash if this is my stash.
Seeing others like this fork coin makes everyone think what's with this coin.
The other altcoins are in good terms but BCH is something different from them because of what the devs shown to the community.
As for me in transactions, I find it slow.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
I have diversified my portfolio but a huge percentage of it comes from 2 coins only and only 1-2% of my total port is being put to 2 coins. I'm holding 4 coins only ATM.

ETN - 1% or below
ENJ - 1% or below
ETH and BTC - 98%.

Ethereum's development is under way right now and with its transition from POW to POS, that would be a huge development for it and they are trying to make the transaction fees faster. I don't hold anymore already especially altcoins because I don't feel that I will get profit from them in long run. In BTC, I don't need to explain more on it since we know already the reason why we are holding this. Cheesy

Your portfolio looks pretty good. Personally, I don't have faith in the future of BCH and LTC, but they are recognized cryptocurrencies on the market and it is very possible that you can make a good profit on them. ETH, DASH and XMR I also have in my portfolio. In addition, I follow several other projects from the top 50 on CMC and buy/sell depending on market movements. I also invest a small amount in new or little-known, promising projects. You can make the best ROI on such investments, but it is also the easiest way to lose the whole amount. It's already a bit of a gamble. Most important: do your own research and invest only as much as you can lose.

Do your own research. There are many good altcoins in this market, and you can choose a few altcoins to hold. Choosing the top altcoins in this market is good for the long term, but it will not bring you too much profit.

Hi Guys i am planning to buy Bitcoin and few altcoins for long term holding. I want to hold at least two altcoins from my list. Can you guys suggest me it is safe to buy below altcoin for long term holding? Which Altcoin is your favourite and currently holding??

My Altcoins list: Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Zcash, Dash and Monero

Your list is good, but it seems you love anonymous coins? The top altcoins in this market are good for long-term investment, their prices are difficult to collapse and if bitcoin rises, their prices will certainly increase.

Which project is good for long term holding? Well that's left for you to find out

The reasons why projects fails

1. Inexperienced team
2. Bad use case
3. Repetitive use case
4. Absence of the community trust

These are very important in every projects life, the foundation must be strong right from the community to the public, forget whitepaper, they are easily cloned this days, they won't proof anything, although you should abstain from plagrism whitepapers

Ethereum and Monero are the best coins in your list. The rest are significantly worse, so you should only stick to these two.

When it comes to your crypto portfolio, it's extremely important to choose the right ratio between alts and Bitcoin. IMO Bitcoin should be at least 90% of your portfolio, anything lower than that is just an unnecessary risk. Bitcoin is the leader of this market and it only grows stronger as such, so you don't need to worry about alts outperforming Bitcoin by a wide margin. What you should be worried about is alts underperforming and dying, just by looking at the recent charts it's clear that they are way lower than their ATH, compared to Bitcoin which is only 50% down from it.

I have the same choice also from OP's list. LTC, there has been rumours that there is really no development going on so don't expect that it will be valuable in the future. Definitely, I will go for eth as the dev team here is visible especially Buterin. So you know, they are still improving the services of eth platform. I don't think Buterin is stopping developments on this project anytime soon.

Some great alt-coins that I'd recommend are DGB, ADA and Vechain.

There are bunch of good altcoins in the market but make sure that you already study all of them before investing. I'm still go straight all the way to ETH, I think it good move for ETH to launch their ETH 2.0 even its delayed. I hope many people still trust them and make invest to them. I also recommend Monero and ADA. It will be good if you already invested in Btc before you turn into altcoins.

If you will decide on altcoin investment for long term be sure that you are picking only top coins on the market that have huge marketcap and many listed exchanges. This is important, a good altcoin survive due to its liquidity. Examole of it are eth, stellar, ada, neo, and bnb. These coins are really good for long term and has comprises of many market. We dont know even after some years how many altcoins will retain theit position but we must also risk something in order to win some profits. I agree to most here that, no one can beat bitcoin as a number one coin for long term and I myself devoted 70% of my funds to this, and only 30% to different altcoins that I know have potentials.

there is no safe investment, all have risks. but by investing money in top altcoins at least you can reduce the rate of losing a lot of money because top altcoin has a more stable price than new altcoins which 90% only pumps and dumps for the long term

But don't forget that if the top altcoin down, the price can go down deeper, and it is hard to go up again if the bitcoin price does not increase. I think he can select bitcoin for the long term holding as bitcoin will rise so high in the future, and he can make a profit from the price. But yes, I agree with you that there is no safe investment, and we need to realize that. Before we invest, the first thing that we should think is about how much money we are willing to use in the investment, so if we cannot make a profit in some time, we will not be too regret.

Ethereumhunter you are right, here we talk about top alt-coins all the time, but in a fact things can change
and alt-coins that are on top now can drop down, and some new alt-coins can replace them! People here should
be ready for changes, that happened before many times, and it will happen again.
It's why my portfolio is getting longer every month! One of my newest investments, long-term investments is
Matic! For beginning I bought 1100 Matic!

Always go for Bitcoin and make Btc your priority over the altcoins. Don't be greedy about investing in altcoins and even the price of btc is still high. ETH and Monero are good investment but I'm not really fan of Bitcoin Cash so I don't recommended it. I'm holding ETH and BNB for a long time, I have no plan switching to over altcoins, I just stick to them. Some coins are just hype so don't easily invest to them.
This is what exactly my opinion as well. We should give more priority for bitcoin investments along with long-term planning. If you notice, altcoins are good only for short-term and anything planned along with long-term holding might be possible only with highly reputed few altcoins. If you plan with random altcoins for long-term, then you will burn your fingers. There are a lot of choices available to go with altcoins and honestly I'm not going to name anything here because I am always recommend to go only with bitcoin investments and that also should be for long-term holding.

After the recent halving, bitcoin is going to have very strong bull run. I'm not sure how many people are going to make use of the upcoming bull run of bitcoin but I'm seeing a lot of people are interested in investing with altcoins but honestly I'm not getting their reasons. It is individual's preferences, I agree. Still I like to recommend everyone to go with only bitcoin investments.

I wonder why some people think that Bitcoin Cash has potential even though their team consists of a group of liars who want to take all of your money.

why liars ? i know there are negative impression for roger ver before but other coins do too  . what important is that this does not affect the performance of the coin  . bch is still okay to use in my opinion   .

and who is the coin creator that does not want to take or make money ? they create coins at the first place in order for them to profit too   .
