Bitcoin and ethereum is my top choice and currently it's the coins I hold and invest. You could increase the percentage of ethereum as also the current price to this coin is increasing and good to invest. There are many who support and believe in BTC and eth through these days so there's a possibility price could continue to increase.

For me, actually there are only two coins that are trusted for investment. They are BTC and also ETH. So far, BTC can  have its great significant increase even during the pandemic. The changes are so clear so that make certain people to be happy or not. ETH itself is awlays considered as the best altcoin. I do believe in it moreover when the coins can pass the downtrend chart in only few period as what happen now. About the other coins you like, I think I will not choose on it.
Exactly right, these two coins I started accumulating last year and I held it in my portfolio for how many months just hoping that there will be always a new ATH coming that will become the changes of the crypto market price. But now I have seen potential of this Ethereum because I read that they are going to upgrade and I guess this is the great opportunity to full your bag while the price didn't skyrocketing yet.

However, I spent a small budget on those promosing defi project since they are very known at this time, maybe just 10% of my entire saving will be allocated to that project.

1. bitcoin 40%
2. ripple 30%
3. bch 30%
4. ethereum 10%

What do you think of this list?

If you believe that BCH has some purpose in the crypto world, or that Ripple has the same then it is quite legitimate to invest in them. Allocating funds to different projects is not a bad idea, but the question in this case is what it can really bring you in the short or long term?
For bch and xrp, I guess it is more profitable in short term invest but with limited time just like now, as the price of bitcoin surges these top altcoins is riding the wave, I think this time is the best to buy these alts and sell soon not to hold for much longer than bitcoin and ethereum.

If you look realistically at the application of these coins, ask yourself what and where they all apply in real life. Realistically only one cryptocurrency has a chance to achieve something in the long run, and has already broken through some seemingly insurmountable barriers. Don’t be fooled by the small prices and large numbers that result from that ratio. If you have $11 000 and invest all in BTC, it is only 1 BTC, but in same time you can get 32 ETH for same amount, or 45 800 XRP.
There's no question for ripple as they are adopted widely across the globe with over 200+ banks in almost every country, this includes the MoneyGram, an american based money transfer giant. Although the price of it seems unbreakable for the past few months, ripple had a massive growth that most of us overlooked. And bch? there's just no future to it, just for me  Roll Eyes

My investment plan only with bitcoin and ethereum, for ripple I have tired waiting for when price is going up, never have good news with new project adopt with ripple as partner and make ripple keep stable on the same on lower price, maybe ripple could burn their coin supply on the market and give motivate for investor to buy ripple.

Here is my choice,

1. bitcoin 40%
2. ripple 30%
3. bch 30%
4. ethereum 10%

What do you think of this list?
How if you change the percentage like below:
1. bitcoin 50%
2. ethereum 30%
3. bch 15%
4. ripple 15%

BCH and Ripple are one potential coin at the market, but I think both coin BCH and Ripple can get a pump and dump, which can happen in the market. But if you have bitcoin and ethereum, that will be a solid coin that can give you a big profit in the bull run. Even if you don't know when the bull run will come, you can trade, buy, and sell bitcoin and ethereum, so you have more chances to make money.

In terms of "investing", which it's important to remember that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are not investments, I think they got the list mostly right.  I don't think it's a good list if we're talking "best" cryptocurrency coins as I think Litecoin and Monero belong there, but not a bad list.

for beginners or those who return to this industry they must take a not too high risk if they want to invest, and choose the top two crypto types such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. in the sense of investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum does not mean it does not have a high risk, but at least Bitcoin and Ethereum already have a high trading volume so it will not be easy if it loses its value.

We have a different perspective on investment but still, everything must be organized and planned what coins you are going invest in because it may have some trouble to your future funds but for me still one of the best things to make an investment is on bitcoin because this is decentralized and also there are a lot of people right now supporting this coin which is a good thing the market price is rapidly increasing still be careful because the market is volatile we cannot make sure what will happen next.

Also right now I have some eth, bch, and ripple because those are common at the top but I have some not familiar too like waves, lisa and dodge coins.

Yes, I am probably going to buy 1 btc at the moment and then the rest of it will be allocated to ethereum.

Then your 1 BTC will be added to those $ 67 Billion worth of Bitcoins purchased this year. Interesting to notice that on the top of cryptocuurencies holders are Turks while US citizens  are somewhere in the middle of top 10.  Until now,  me would   give priority  to Chinese.

This isn't permanent, it could change from time to time, just like the price of bitcoin where it will pump or dump and when there are significant movement of price, that's where whales also made their own decision.

some important information from the article you posted.

Quote
New investors, on average, obtained over $67 billion worth of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in 2020, an average of $4,000 per person. However, the figure is still lesser than last year’s $111 billion, or $7,000 per person.

The U.S. also leads in crypto adoption. The survey said that among the top-ten countries, America had a 15 percent penetration of digital asset investment and awareness as of 2019 (the figures may have changed since).

It is a good list, but you should increase the distribution percentage for ethereum, decrease the percentage for ripple to 10% and bch to 10%. You can either distribute the decreased percentage to bitcoin and ethereum or put it directly on ethereum.

Advice is still just advice, the decision still has to be yours because after all, the money belongs to you. However, before investing, it is necessary to find a way to store your crypto - and given the value, it should not be any online wallet or crypto exchange, nor is it wise to keep such an amount in a mobile wallet. You are left with the choice of desktop or hardware wallet, and I think the choice should not be too difficult.

The only thing you could have done better was an investment at a lower cost, and it’s not that there wasn’t an opportunity to do so. I know many people think that a new big bull run has started, but the chances of going back are very realistic - but whichever way you turn, the chances of winning/losing always exist. Buy now and price can drop under $10k, wait more time and in few days we can jump to $12k. However, if you are going for a long-term investment, it is very likely that it will pay off in the coming years.

Since I only used exchange to which being approved and given licensed from the government to operate and it influence my choice of crypto and come up with a different top list of good crypto to invest with. Here is my choice,

1. bitcoin 40%
2. ripple 30%
3. bch 30%
4. ethereum 10%

What do you think of this list?
If I will be investing also with the 4 coins listed above, maybe I will invest on BCH and XRP only for short to mid term and BTC and ETH for long term. I don't really like those 2 for some reasons Cheesy.

I'm not invested in XRP and BCH right now for some reasons and I know that some really hates BCH here because of the shillings of Ver towards BTC. In the end it will be your money and your decision to choose into which coin should your invest your money with. Maybe you can find another altcoins too that are better than XRP and BCH or at least lessen your allocation towards them and invest some of your money towards other altcoins. That could help you too.

Some are coming back to join and invest again in cryptocurrency.
Thats because most people that claim to be crypto enthusiast are only into crypto for the profit involved.

I thought that bitcoin that time will be dead. However I was wrong and seeing now cryptocurrency still alive and kicking made me feel happy again.
This is where youll understand that profit is what keep most crypto traders and investors in this crypto scheme because the downtrend of the market doesnt prove bitcoin and altcoins to be dead.

I had now coming to a search again on which crypto could be good for investment and lead me to yahoo finance site on their listing of top 5 best crypto to invest with.

yahoo finance noted on the top 5 best crypto for investment. This is their list as follows:

1. bitcoin
2. ethereum
3. neo
4. eos
5. ripple

1. bitcoin 40%
2. ripple 30%
3. bch 30%
4. ethereum 10%

What do you think of this list?

Dont rely most in the information get from those kind of site because they still there best crypto for investment base on tps and centralization and only BTC and ETH are the best crypto out of the list.

From my observations for the past few weeks, Bitcoin and Ethereum are having one of the biggest market value uprise, which are also quite consistent, making these two, more worthy to give it a shot investing at this moment. But quite making a disclaimer for those who are still new in this investment "game", it would be better to still have expectations that there are still chances for dumps to occur in a sudden, in order to not be too overwhelmed of the situation.

Also it would be a good thing to also keep an eye with other coins such. But in my opinion, BTC and ETH are more reliable to invest right now.

Ripple I think, as well as BCH , might be better for short term holding (due to the uprise at this moment, other coins could also experience the pump).

I can also buy just small amount of BCH AND XRP just to do a trading practice.  If I can be successful then I can add more. However, with the replies in the post I made it means that having the BCH AND XRP is not a good choice. So I can go for holding it in a short period if time. And if there is a sudden drop then I can hold it until such time it will going to recover.

Don't invest on Ripple if you plan to make it on long term. It is centralized and soon it can be dumped but I do also trust it. But then again, 30% of someone's holdings just for XRP is too much. Better invest more on ethereum than ripple. And BCH? Really? It had so many issues especially it was separated in two back then, hence investing on it wasn't the brightest idea. Bitcoin and Ethereum with 50/50 investment is enough and can make you huge profit. Or better consider investing on stocks as well so that you wouldn't have that much loss if ever but you could have bigger profits if you are on long term investment.

Ripple and Bch are both shit, so is neo and eos, don't take your investment advice from some dweeb who writes for Yahoo.

I would only long-term hold Bitcoin and ethereum right now and the I would never touch ripple.

Very well said, if I'm not mistaken, ripple is centralized, though it has a significant low fees, who want's to give their privacy away? Bitcoin and ethereum are the most profitable cryptocurrency investment but comparing these two, I cannot see if ethereum will be good for long term as it miss one charactertic which bitcoin has, and that is the scarcity. Ethereum's volume is unlimited, thus, we cannot expect too much price increase just because of demands.

Should've just gone with yahoo finance recommendation.

Your list below OP is kind of risky for me.
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Always have that two. Less risk if you ask members here.
But BCH? Be sure to think about it.
I'd rather buy an exchange token like BNB rather than that. Anyway, that is my own humble opinion only.
40% Bitcoin
30% Ethereum
30% Others
I think having bch as part of his portfolio is fine,

But it should be lower percentage of his investment. He only needs to decrease it the same as the other crypto then add it on the big two crypto which is bitcoin and ethereum. Having bitcoin and ethereum as his main investment is the best option here.
