Kudos, OP and happy belated Birthday by the way! I have not managed to stumble upon this thread earlier as I was busy, but we really appreciate your hard work on teaching about Bitcoin. I've been looking forward to do it myself one day, but eh whatever.
I hope your teachings would soon be applied be the students and I would be looking forward on your next update either here in the thread or in a new thread on how did it go to those students and how far they had learned more. Smiley

Thanks to everyone that encouraged me,I must say you have motivated me to do more in spreading Bitcoin awareness. The next peoples I need to give the awareness to are advanced people, I mean like from age of 40yrs and above to see how they will feel towards using bitcoin. I am working on it now.

 Thanks to you all !!!!!!
That would be really nice! Will you do a separate thread or just do an update in the OP?

Mazel tov to you, man. It's really encouraging to hear this. According to the statistics from the threads, participants range in age from 15 to  30. Personally, I think this is brilliant because you need to catch them while they are still young. Youth are capable of making a significant difference in their community, especially at the grass-roots level. You did a good job, OP. Well done.

What a good initiative you did there. Just continue spreading awareness about bitcoin in your place.

Anyways, on that 1 1/2 hour of bitcoin class, you managed, do all students still at focus and showing interest to learn more until the end? If this is the first time they heard of it, they might end up not interested at the start of the class. How's their approach to bitcoin? How did you start your class in a way that all of them will focus and listen to their new subject?

Thanks for giving your time there despite your busy work schedule. Keep it up!

I, as a person who invests in bitcoin, feel happy reading your topic and I think this is really very extraordinary, and I hope that in the future there will be more people like you, who give lessons about bitcoin to students and the public. that way I'm sure there will be many of them who are interested in investing in bitcoin, and I think the economy will definitely be helped a lot because they invest in bitcoin.

Way to go, man!

You're doing an amazing spread for the word of bitcoin up to this point that you're going to official teach in a school. Not everyone does this for their own sake but as what you're doing, you're showing genuine passion to teach everyone about bitcoin.

Happy birthday to you!

Good luck to you and to everyone that's helping you on this progress.

I give support to you because of the high initiative to share cryptocurrency knowledge in the school environment, your activity deserves appreciation because you left other jobs to teach "what is cryptocurrency" in school curriculum, they are still productive age to understand the explanation about bitcoin because I believe some they already have a basic understanding of Bitcoin but they need a teacher to help them get to know the world of Cryptocurreny, your presence as a teacher is the solution for them. I'm sure your activities will inspire others to do the same. btw happy birthday to you.

To be honest, I might be the only one who feels this way but I don’t see how this is necessary. Which money would they use to invest after they’ve been taught?

Hey Mate! It's actually not a bad decision to lecture kids and children about investing but, investing in Bitcoin is something that shouldn't be forced upon. I doubt of they can understand how the Bitcoin market moves really, so it's useless forcing them invest. as a post I read from Franky 1 in the forum here which say's,teach people bout Bitcoin but don't bforce them to invest.

You can show real life use of Bitcoin though by transfering some little amounts of Bitcoin, also it's good to tell them about the merits of Bitcoin amd not just about investment, the most mandatory shit bout Bitcoin for me is that, everyone can be his/her own bank with Bitcoin. It's just that massive adoption hasn't really gone wide.

OP! I did some stuffs like this also, but mine was within a park in another state. ( Akwa Ibom ) in Nigeria. Posting stickers of Become your own Bank with Bitcoin on Motorcycle's and Buses. Thanks for using your time and energy to promote Bitcoin.

Beautiful Belated Birthday Wishes Buddie!!

Great initiative, it only remains to add the impulse of the emotion of seeing something like what you are doing, of a great value of enthusiasm, I even find it inspiring that perhaps you teach with the entrance of natural light ...hopefully the enthusiasm will be maintained over time and the future conditions of the teaching space will improve.

There will come a time when everyone will have knowledge about Bitcoin. As the country is developing, the standard of living of the people is improving.People will want what people think easily now.But in the future Bitcoin will take place in everyone's mind and will spread all over the world. But best wishes and love to everyone who is working on such steps in the school.Such initiative is the best initiative to make Bitcoin stronger.
And when bitcoin achieves its goal on global adoption in the future, then it will become a significant part on the lives of the people. That is why teaching these students these days is a way of preparing them in the future as they can have an edge over the others since they have known bitcoin earlier and have the chances to share their knowledge to other students or to their family and loved ones. All of this will be credited to you OP as you always think what’s the best for the students. Kudos to you OP and a very happy birthday.

Back then in primary school, my teacher will always sing to us that "children are the leaders of tomorrow". If children are the leaders of tomorrow I believe they are meant to be taught the right thing that will help their future. Since those student are getting  to learn Bitcoin at their age, is really going to do them good.
You are fabulous 🤩 OP, and happy birthday to you.
What a cool teacher you have. I think your teacher does that only to remind you guys that you hold the future and that should help you do well in your class. Children are still young so they need to be taught the right thing because if wrong things are being taught to them, they will adopt it until they grow older but I think it's always not too late too change even if you are already old.

There is no age requirements for getting involved in bitcoin but I think there are more benefits if you got involved in it in an earlier time so it's important to have btc as a subject in schools so that kids can get aware with it and they can also start saving btc as early as possible.

Your birthday was worth celebrating. This is the best gift you can give to the young generation.

This initiative is commendable. I love it when I see members of this forum help in spreading the knowledge of crypto to their locality. Bitcoin teaching can't be taught in a day, just try to make out time in your leisure days to be handling them in crypto classes. Let's start by catching them young.

In Africa the adoption is taking place in a much faster way than the other part of the world. It shows, this part of the world is in much need of bitcoin against the inflated currencies. Many African countries have good resources, but the corruption and the worst management makes survival difficulties.
Africans are left with no other choice than to embrace this adoption because it's not just inflation that has eaten up her economy but also poor standard of living and the only hedge over inflation has it stands is Bitcoin to a large extent.

Suzan needs to be given credit, because she had the mind to accept technology. If not, she could've just ignored and left. The need of students is well understood and the needful is done through people who are good in it.
Accepting technology at her age in Africa is something to reckon. Many of her age grade still believe it must always be done the traditional way of banking and keeping your funds with the government for safety. It takes an open mind of her age to embrace a currency that has no physical representation which is something worthy of full credit

My birthday was fun teaching these students,I had to take this pictures for remembrance and to also show to forum members to update you about  this. I need your contributions or observations, advice to my passion of spreading Bitcoin in my locality.
You did a good job Frankolala and the impact of this selfless service might not be evident now but in a few years, the effect would be glaring. You might have ignited the zeal of most of these students to begin to appreciate and study further about Bitcoin. Your service is selfless because, from the picture, it is clear that most of the students are from low-income homes because the schools lack basic amenities. This shows that nobody is paying you for this service but one day these students would remember your kind gestures and reward you for it.  I have been teaching for over 10 years and I sometimes see my students unexpectedly paying my bills on public buses or even in restaurants. Even one of my students has promised to change my car. Bro. keep the fire of selfless service burning.

The practical class is important but before the class introduce them to privacy and cybersecurity. They should not also invest in Bitcoin until they have understood risk management. They must also know that Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme but a viable alternative to fiat and a good investment platform. Most of them are teenagers, hence you can advice them to introduce Bitcoin to their parents. They must also know the difference between Bitcoin and other shitcoins. They must know that if it is not Bitcoin, it is shitcoins.

Very good job and I wish you success with this, recently we see many people teaching bitcoin in many places like schools and even church to other people which is nice to see especially when we see people are doing this for free, in my idea you could give some free food and free money to these people and help them have a better day but instead of that you are giving them free knowledge about sometimes they can earn money from it which is much better than doing anything else, I hope to see even more of this event but from the government's side in schools.

Two weeks ago,I posted a thread on the forum about spreading Bitcoin awareness in my area and my place of work, which I shared flyers to people in my area about teaching Bitcoin, so that anyone interested can easily contact me. This innovation has started yielding good friuts. One evening I received a call from a lady I don't know, she asked if she was speaking to the person that his contact was on the flyer,I said yes. She introduced herself to me as Mrs Susan Wilson, then said she will love to see me so that we can discuss. This woman is a proprietress  to one of the private schools in my area called Legacy Comprehensive College, we booked an appointment to my own convinent time which she was OK with.
The next day I went to see her in office, to my greatest surprise she told me to teach her students in the senior secondary school about Bitcoin. I was astonished and marvel on her initiative for her students to learn Bitcoin in school. I then asked her about her knowledge in bitcoin, she said it was her husband that told her alittle about bitcoin. After much discussions she concluded by saying, she wants the best for her school and to create a difference in the area by teaching them more about reality of life than just books. She also asked how much will she pay for the class and I told her that its a voluntary service.

We fixed a date for that class but because of my busy schedule with work,It didn't work out. On Sunday evening Mrs Susan Wilson called again, saying that hope I will be able to come the next day which was yesterday for the class that she has already informed the students. I thought of it and told her that I will come on Tuesday which is today. Yesterday I met with my boss and told him I will becoming three hour late to work today which he permitted me.

Today being Tuesday 20th of September is my birthday so I voluntarily taught the students of Legacy Comprehensive College,SSS2 class Bitcoin, as my birthday gift to them. It was really a wonderful day, teaching these lovely and brilliant students  about bitcoin, even a staff of the school also joined in the class, he said he loves to learn something new as a teacher. A lot of questions was been asked by the students,a girl even asked how can you own a bitcoin which I told them all they need to know about bitcoin excluding the investment aspect, the class lasted for one and half hour. This is my first time to teach Bitcoin in school, after the class I saw that the students were so excited learning something new.

Mrs Susan Wilson is the lady beside me, she pleaded with me to come back and take them the practical class on Bitcoin that the school has a computer lab.

It’s great to see someone like you being passionate to educate the masses about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Keep doing that not just for schools, but for communities around the corner who were either uninformed or misinformed about Bitcoin.

I might be returning to become a keynote speaker in some universities again in probably a month or two, depending on the arrangement and schedule with the help of my new colleagues. Since we’re moving on from COVID-19 and may likely be just turning into an endemic later on, it’s time to get back into action to something that I am passionate on which is to be on the stage again in front of the students and the community to educate them about Bitcoin.

That was a welcoming event for crypto and I see how many wanted to know more about Bitcoin and are willing to spend their time learning. I really appreciate what you did OP and I say that only a few people have that kind of passion and willingness to teach people who have the desires to learn about this. I know it was a big success and hoping for these people will gain more interest in investing in crypto and make their long journey here as well.

Likely, if this will actually been done is school, more and more people will adopt Bitcoin and fully understand how it works and its importance.

That's a good idea, by teaching secondary school students about Bitcoin as a digital assets payment, through investment and trading, while mining as well to earn Bitcoin, and this will give many of them opportunity to be educated and Bitcoin, which as lattle as secondary school students to invest on on Bitcoin worth of $50 and hold, after his/her educational level, which takes eight to ten years from now, the Bitcoin we grow on imaginable as a return investment profit.

This is a great innovation especially for those that are still coming up to learn about Bitcoin and how to save their funds using the Bitcoin network than normal fiat. This is a great attempt to spread Bitcoin to others so that they can learn about how it works which could make Bitcoin more popular and known.
I don't know how frequently op will keep teaching the students about Bitcoin but this need to be a consistent efforts so that those that had been thought would not see it as a joke or easily forget about it since they don't know how to buy it and save it securely.
