The unit in exchanges will be MEGA IOTA.

I don't remember the ICO price, but it really does not matter now imho.

All that matters is potential and this coin has it all, from zerofees to scalabitily, quantum resistance etc.

The balance will show up after you generate some addresses.

In my 2.3 wallet I had around 23 iota and I upgraded to 2.5 version and was about to transfer my Iota from slack to this wallet but now wallet shows zero. And all my earlier transactions are not showing. It looks like a new account. Anyone else also facing these issues?

Everything is possible in times like this. But I wouldn´t be suprised by a big dump because a lot of people getting greedy

but there are not a lot of people holding IOTA right now. I think this will be the main reason for not a dump and maybe pump instead

Don't underestimate panic selling.

A lot of IOTA holders are long term holders. there will be no panic.

Just installed the new wallet, clicked tangle, and the balance showed up. Why is this not automated ?
