quite an old vid where an old ridiculous guy trys to lower the price to get in as cheap as possible.
many of the points he comes up with are already solved, otheres arent solved.
this guy is trying to run his own coin (BitcoinHEX by being an ERC20 shittoken) and in his eyes everything else is bullshit.
in my eyes a paragon of a douchebag... just my two iota´s

I don't really like the fact that trinity encrypts the seed... I'd rather enter it everytime manually. Yep, I'm paranoid. Is there any way to do that?

Interesting to know that the IoT market is forecast to grow from $170B in 2017, to $560B in 2022. However, this industry is not without its limitations. Due to centralisation, IoT is held back by scalability issues, high operating costs, privacy concerns and security risks. Hope that IoT blockchain projects like IOTA will cope with it. Besty of luck

It's amazing how this project is still thriving! I thought IOECoin was the real IOT or IOE! Either way, things work that way. But I need to recognize that Tangle technology is interesting. Unfortunately, 2 Billion MIOTA is not attractive for a sense of value reserve, of course, the idea is micro transactions. Next year could be a magical year for this project. Wink

someone tried DagCoin (IOTA) in real life.

https://medium.com/andreas-tries-blockchain/iota-cannot-be-used-for-iot-loss-of-funds-may-occur-e45b1ed9dd6b

IOTA is the worst cryptocurrency I’ve reviewed so far. Installing the IOTA wallet was a pain. Receiving and sending IOTA tokens is technically challenging and time consuming. Address reuse can lead to loss of funds. There is no functional IOTA mobile wallet. There is no IOTA hardware wallet support.

But most importantly it is very clear that IOTA cannot be used on Internet-of-Things devices, the problem it markets itself as solving! How can a smart lightbulb or drone stay in sync with a “tangle” that requires vast amounts of CPU cores, RAM, and network bandwidth to stay in sync with?

thank you very much for the new links!

is there a testnet available where I can try it for my own to prove it is working?

with and without my own personel Coordinator because I don't want to trust third parties?

where can I find the code of the Coordinator? Is it Open Source?

“Data is the new oil.”

What she doesn’t know yet is that crypto is the new pipeline, refinery, and gas station.

That's an excellent description. I will use this metaphor in the future to explain IOTA and the crypto-economy.

Speaking in the future, which wallet can I use to store the IOTA? Is there a wallet for web and physics? Remembering that I do not want to leave my future IOTA in exchange.

For now, there is only the official IOTA wallet. I have stored my tokens their since mid 2016 without any problems. You can try this. If you don't get to like it, you have to wait until Tinity comes out. All what I have seen about the wallet so far is much promising. It is currently in alpha testing phase.

Stay away from all other wallets that claim to handle IOTA.

My mother and I say one thing to each other, consistently, in every conversation.

“Data is the new oil.”

What she doesn’t know yet is that crypto is the new pipeline, refinery, and gas station.

Why I think iota is the key is an easy choice. Tech. World class talent. Massive companies on board. Vision. Interoperability. Scope of IoT applications. Potential for disruption. And all of it tokenized and available for the average person who sees it coming.

Thats a great saying, I would argue like oil, gas the money will mostly go to those who facilitate markets and transport that data.  There are winners and losers in all markets but if you gain a % of the trade done then you win something on flows in and out.
Being part of the infrastructure counts for alot longer term because the work put in setting up that network or structure is then built on and used every day by all members of that market, its a really big deal.   The main thing to consider with IOTA is its capabilities, the whole price consideration is secondary and just follows from its ability to be useful to society or not.

Its becoming more obvious every year that political currency like the world has used for many decades now are not reliable stores of value and may even be some impediment to the growth of nations in its uneven distribution, influence and creation bias to its source.   Its most obviously true of the US dollar, main reserve currency of the world but also EURO is strongly biased to politics not business or general capitalism in a population and probably many other countries with central banks.
The point I'm making here is this failure is not new, its been on a while and crypto has to make itself ready and able to carry some of this business productivity and more honest and true to the purpose of trade between peoples of the world.   I think the growth potential is massive and the timing quite fitting for crypto to gain alot from the failures apparent in the system we all use today

I'm impressed that the main focus in IOTA is to provide the emergence of a new IoT, but beyond that, IOTA plans to be the level of transaction calculation and data integrity for the Internet of Everything.
