Are there still ways to get IOTA before it come on the exchanges?

goto https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1440112.0;topicseen

the thread is a mess, but if you look closely you can still find some offers or post your offer

I will check it out, thank you very much. Smiley

Does anyone know a cheap hoster (Europe), for running an iota node?

Is Amazon expensive in comparison?

isnt that whole neighbor ip-address thing rather deterring for average joe users? Will it be gone some time so that you just start the wallet and can do transactions - if yes, when?

Yes. After the network reaches 1000 nodes mark.

how far have we come?

100

ouch

guess, i will put up some more

Since average IOTA users finding it hard to look for nodes, how exchanges will sync their wallet without losing connection 24/7? Are they also going to ask IOTA users on slack to share nodes thru PM?  Undecided

If the Foundation is founded it's supposed to provide the lists of the neighbors to exchanges.

Many people already set up VPSs

Are those nodes will be publicly available on slack or IOTA website?

they are supposed to be exchanged in private in the slack. ASk in the chat and you'll receive some nodes.

Are null nodes those that have 'null' for latestPacketReceived for 'getNeighborActivity'?

Yes, if you see 'null', it's a null node.
