If you already have an address then you'll have approximately 1 year to touch them.

Official launch schedule and news will come soon. In the meanwhile everyone should just be testing 0.9.4, promoting the foundation and above all else: contribute with ideas in #brainstorming

Are we supposed to re-"claim" our IOTA's after each version? I was able to get it to work correctly 0.9.1 but all the versions afterwards, I could never get anything to load back in (tried on separate PC's). On 0.9.2 I was able to create a test account, but testing closed soon afterwards and I couldn't load the addresses again when I tried after 9.3. I'm trying again now on 0.9.4 but I'm getting the same results. Am I missing something/doing something wrong?

Nothing wrong, we are testing.

When is launch estimated?

In my schedule the 31st of May is the date when 1.0.0 is published. Switching from 0.x.x to 1.x.x means that beta phase is over.

No. They were just some links that show that IoT is not a fad, it is the future.
I'm just glad to get in on the ground floor of something big.

The IoT projects out there are growing. I think IOTA is in a very good position.

Cool! IOTA will be huge since many industry nowadays adopting IOT in preparation for the future.

Like I always said: IOTA is the first 3rd Generation Cryptocurreny. The potential is amazing!

Would it not be reasonable to make o bigger unit that has like 8 decimals like the relation between BTC and satoshi?

Then it would be 27 million of this bigger unit which has 8 decimals.

That is why we now use Prefix for Iota. Mostly used is Giota (Giga Iota) now. So there are about 2.8 million Giota in total.

Olarsson, in fact when it was initially disclosed it had decimals. But has been later modified to be floating point free. The reasoning is mainly related to the target of IOTA, small computational power devices can handle integers much better than floats.

But humans should like it too right?

Depends what you mean with 'like it'. IOTA is for the rising machine 2 machine economy / economy of things, not for humans to pay for coffee.

That's interesting, I never understood IOTA right.
I think your presentation is too complicated as of yet (for average joes like me) Smiley
