This seems to be a good rule, doesn't it? Unless you can find a good reason to do exceptions in the rule I'm going to keep sticking to it.

I like you Harold, don't make me block you - come back to earth please. We all want GUI and 1,000,000 dollar IOTA and all kinds of amazing things, just let the team test/optimize and work our their contacts. Let's relax and concentrate on something else until then. 3rd time is the charm (for GUI) as they say.

Well, I guess David's offer to buy out all of your IOTAs for Crowdsale price + 20% is still going?

Think about it.

@50cent_rapper:

Very good explanation. GUI is merely the OPTIONAL surface.

First of all I want to thank the IOTA-team, especially David and CfB and the Community, for their great work. Microsoft was outstanding news! And more would follow. Many thanks Guys. You are hard working and I really appreciated it. And you know I do my best to take part in this community since November. I know several investors that have invested just because I blogged several times about IOTA since November.

Because of the reasons you brought up I don’t think a GUI is sooo super important. But in my view I would like to have at least the option to make transactions. Bringing IOTA from one account to an other. I would be even fine with a command line option like Decred or Ethereum when it’s started. I even see that a transaction possibility can help to spread IOTA to IOT-companies, because if they want to test the system, at the moment you are not able to send them something. So because of the GUI delay my opinion is we need to work now on an interim solution that at least allows transaction from one wallet to an other.
So yes, GUI doesn’t matter. But transactions matters for me.

.... you can

we were extremely unfortunate to have two (seemingly) reputable dev teams fail abysmally, but it's still coming. Not only that but we're rallying members together to support a much more.

@iotatoken

David: The failure is entirely yours. This is coffee - smell it!

I'm so glad I'm not you.

And it's a feature that is coming, we were extremely unfortunate to have two (seemingly) reputable dev teams fail abysmally, but it's still coming. Not only that but we're rallying members together to support a much more useful feature of IOTA: interfacing for oracling, this will open a lot of doors for IOTA. This is what people should be excited about and help boost up development of, not sit around talking about GUI.

I'm surprised at how many post here about GUI. If you're so worried about it why aren't you in Ryver where you get live updates about it? Makes absolutely no sense.

As I have described if Dan Warfel didn't deliver, I had other devs lined up, which is who I have officially given the job to now. I gave Dan countless warnings and told him exactly what would happen, he clearly did not care, like a true scammer. Now he better refund the money or face legal repercussions, it's that simple for him. He is fired and can't salvage anything in this regard, his lies cost us 2 weeks of time (on the frontend, not backend, backend is evolving like it should)

But I'll be damned if I'll allow incompetent people to become the focal point of the IOTA discussions here, so instead focus on getting stuff done that helps IOTA. We're teaming up with some really interesting projects that will be announced soon.

Can we know how many BTC this scammer have stolen?

thanks

No, can't disclose that due to negotiations with new devs. But it's enough money that it matters

ok thanks for the answer!

Hey, for those who do not understand what iota team is doing:

They do something like this:

Then they will run iota nodes on this.

Then this nano CPU-s will trade CPU time/memory in exchange of iota - thus they will create the market for IOT, which called Fog or Mist. That' all.

The GUI doesn't matter in this vision.

Any chance CfB that you will be the V Buterin of IOTA...i.e. giving public presentations, etc?

I do agree that Iota needs a face.
I think one of the reasons nxt didn't take off as it could have, is that it didn't have a special someone like Vitalik.
If it's not cfb, how about David?
Do you think of any more candidates?

I would say David already is.

David has in a short time demonstrably even more reached than comparable CEO of his quality from big successful projects. He has vision that many others haven't. IOTA has already great representative CEO.

I'm sure later many other talented persons will join IOTA too.
