In my opinion IOTA is very overvalued due to the lack of real applications. There is no any suitable network of 10M devices that communicate and do cash settlement with each other.

I sell all my IOTA. These days i was expecting some grow but, all down and down, and the microsoft thing was not real, and they have a wallet with issues, i think they have a lot of problems to solve first.
So, i invest in TRON, is a chinese proyect, and for example today it has more than 120% of grow, is still really early but its really cheaper and i have no doubt that this coin is going to be  in 0,1 in a few weeks.

Today, the very well known IOTA is getting down. Many of the investors have made huge profits of around 300% within 1 week but now it is going down very fast. This all happened due to their clarification about the Microsoft-IOTA partnership. Yesterday they clarified that they aren't partnered with Microsoft in any way but they are trying to be partnered with them and 37 other famous brands that include Fujustu etc.
Such news made the investors worried and they started selling their acquired IOTA stock. It is going down very faster if anyone has invested in IOTA should take some profits and sell the coins before it's too late.

Care to share source on other major brands? Did you mean to type Fujitsu?

Well apparently it popped out and now it's going down again. Still i didn't sell them yet, i think i'm gonna wait at least 6 more months then we'll see.
Good decision mate, still too early for us to panic many things can happen after several months,  I just think that correction really needs to happen
and those who are holding a big shared of coins will try to shake the market to get much more so better to keep holding and wait for more updates

iota is pure speculation, it has the most pure speculation at about 100%, it sounds like a recipe, but it is true.

Everytime that iota had a hype because of something, or just because they suddenly partnered with a company, it was a fake, volkswagen will never be linked with a crypto who is below four dollars each.

But I've been thinking. Is it worth buying this coin for a long time or not? And now I think that we need to read less rumors and buy, if this involves technical analysis of the market.

They do not even have a wallet, every one who has iotas is holding all of them in binance of bitfinex (and we all know how unsafe are those exchanges)
Make your own conclusions, a lot of people started to say that iota was going to be the next bitcoin..

What ever happened with US Citizens and Bitfinex? I had my IOTA in Bitfinex and right at its ATH I continually was getting notices that US residents will be losing access or something so I took the profits and ran. Haven't logged in since

https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2017/12/12/iota-partnership-microsoft-marketplace/

Following some speculation from the cryptocurrency community, IOTA has come out to clarify that it currently has no formal partnership with Microsoft, despite its announcement from earlier in November.

This means that the Redmond giant has not yet contributed any data to IOTA’s marketplace, nor does it have any sensors connected to its network. Asked about its involvement in IOTA’s data marketplace, a Microsoft spokesperson told TNW that “IOTA is a Microsoft Azure customer and plans to use Azure to test and deploy its Data Marketplace.”

Please fact check.

A. Microsoft employee gave the Iota team the media that said "Partner." It would be weird for them to edit media not created by them.

B. Fujitsu and Bosch are much more involved and are comparable in size to MS, so why everyone is locked in on only the MS news is beyond me. You can go and check that yourself  or look here

Research before you run your mouth and spread wild accusations and rumors--BS just gets in everyone's way.

you just need to pick a side to believe
and i believe that IOTA is a bad project in its nature and has many red flags
if you earn a lot of money with it i will be very happy for you because its not a competition for me ..
i researched enough about it =]

Apparently you are using alternative facts to spread a false narrative--don't worry I learned how to deal with noobs like you with my time in Monero--same shit, different day.

you are taking life too seriously
i really dont think that spreading lies in bitcointalk can influence somehow on the coin
i like when everything is clarified and spreading for days "iota partners with microsoft running data marketplace together" when both sides are not stupid and they know what is means to regular people that read this..  i just dont buy that they are so innocent

You must be a noob--do you not remember when every coin that was put on azure called it a partnership? Seems everyone is forgetting that--even though an actual MicroSoft employee gave Iota media saying "Partner," instead of just pulling it out of their ass like so many coins did with azure.

Stop being a concern troll. If you could invalidate the Microsoft emplyee's media, you would do it--instead you are waving your hands and trying to rationalize your BS.

I sold all my IOTA stack that I bought at 30 cents when it reached $4.3 for the first time. Made some real good profits from IOTA this year.

But to be honest, I dont see IOTA falling as fast as OP says. At this moment its still ranging at around $4.2, this is still way overvalued in my opinion. IOTA is a great coin, but it needs organic growth and not such a fomo growth as it has seen in the last week.

A slight decrease in causes is less clear, perhaps what you say is true. The value of IOTA for today is $ 4.1437. The current outstanding supply is 2.78 billion coins and the total volume has been exchanged $ 450,962,465.

After increase 300% and it is  normal that price will have correction. If it Iota can survive in this time and maybe even grow more, mean iota has future.

After IOTA announced that no it has no formal partnership with Microsoft price started to go down. But it may go up again. It cannot go up all the time. There should be a correction. Thats more healthy for a coin.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. Microsoft is not really an official partner of IOTA as in investing in it, even if they used the word partner. But they will use IOTA. A better word would be participant. A sell off is logical since the initial news was overhyped.

This. (also the MS employee sent the media that stated "partner." It would be weird for Iota team members to edit it).

Not sure why the MS news has gotten so hyped when Fujitsu and Bosch are comparable in size and are much more involved with Iota. Seems hypers hype and fudders fud--don't get caught by either one.
