bitcoin should be the latest and best payment in accordance with today's technology, but today many bans make payments with bitcoins and require the use of money. so I think the use of bitcoin for payment still can not be maximized.
for me yes it is better to use bitcoin as a payment method to all online shops and offline shops why ? because in this payment method we can eliminate the giving a changes for your payments because you can send exact ammount easily and very fast thats why this is good if they use bitcoin.

At first it looked like it was a good way for payment. But now the time frame and transaction fees are not viable for payments. Maybe n the future if they can find a way to change the time frame and fees then maybe it will be a great payment system

Transaction fees makes it more expensive than it's actual price. It almost offers fees same as banks do. With regards to remittances, for example i'll be sending 5000php (95usd) I'll be charged with 500php (9.5usd) which is somehow near to bank transfer fees.
Besides that, some exchange sites charge expensively if you wanted to purchase bitcoin.
