yes it is being used rather we saybbitcoin is a kind of internet freedom everyone can spend them the way they want no more rules or regulations interfaring our needs or anything but illigal activitys are kind of pritty much i belive they still can get arrested for those acctivitys

Right, even if you use bitcoin anonymously you can still be traced if you are not careful or when you try to cash it out. Ultimately, tracing the transactions would lead to you and hence you can get caught if you use Bitcoins for illegal activities.
You actully can not be traced unless someone knows your idenity and your public address.

Also nowdays people are tend to be using mixing services which makes tracing impossible,so actully bitcoin is the most anonymous coin you can use.

BULL RUN until 2030
Yes it is indeed being used for illegal activities. The main reason? Provides no way to trace the person apparently. Yet, it is even easier to find some Bitcoin criminal than someone selling drugs and receiving notes.
yeah people know that using bitcoin then people will not know the intent of your transaction, then it is very likely that bitcoin is used for illegal activities

Yeah, but on a side note...If bitcoin is banned or illegal in your country, any transaction you will do will be illegal as long as it involves bitcoin right? Eventhough your aim or purpose is legal or lawful.
Banning  bitcoin  is  the common way to stop these transaction but  it  cant really stop the  illegal  activities   because   transaction would  happen  underground and as we all know   transactions  could be hard to  trace  up because of  anonymity of   bitcoin thats  why  its still  useless to ban it for sure.
Personally I have never seen banning something or making it illegal as a way to stop something tis a way for the government to use harsher methods in order to get their way, just look at drugs illegal in most of the world and still widely available.

Yeah, even if drugs is illegal for many years government can't still stop it for how many years. It just keeps spreading. Also i think the people behind those illegal things are also high-ranking officials or high-reputation persons which makes it difficult to stop.
Right there, it's true.. They are protected by corrupt officials and it happens in every country. With the advent of bitcoin, they find a good currency that they can use to transact in there illegal transaction and they have been doing it which also makes the price of bitcoin increase.

Cash is so much better for illegal activities its so obvious. I do think there could be larger opperations going on in some of the more dodgy trading sites but its the same as the banks or fed.  Overall crypto is probably cleaner its just that new things are at their most exploitable.

bitcoin now been widely used in various places. use bitcoin was extensive. no one could forbid bitcoin users. especially they can use bitcoin for illegal actions. all depend on themselves respectively in using bitcoin wisely.

Exactly, if a city or a country where both legal and illegal activities are done, uses one currency then it is an obvious thing that the currency would be used for illegal things too, that is also the case with bitcoin, it is not made just for the people doing good deeds, it is a free to use currency which anyone can use easily so even if it is used for bad things that should not effect bitcoin at all.

Most probably bitcoin is used for lot of criminal activities and we could see infront of our eyes 100s of scammers and it is another example of illegal activities. With bitcoin there us more possibility of scam because there is no central node to control the flow of money and there is no specified law and of  course there is no one to control bitcoin so illegal transaction mostly takes place from bitcoin

The far majority of the illegal activities happen with fiat in physical form. Nothing in the world comes even close to what harm is being done to people and the world with fiat. Bitcoin isn't even a tiny dot in this case. But as always, Bitcoin receives the blame while fiat is the real bad part in this entire story. It's also the media effect that makes people look bad at Bitcoin. It's a real shame.

Obviously bitcoin is widely used for illegal activities. It welcomes criminal to use bitcoin over paper currency because there is no security check of trace left in bitcoin while doing transaction. Bitcoin is almost anonymous transaction people could know only amount but could never know who transferred money to whom. It's always secret so bitcoin is widely used illegal activities

I had read various documents stating that bitcoin is widely used in silk road for buying illegal drugs and other items. I had also encountered articles stating that bitcoin had wide range of user in dark net and are commonly using begin for buying weapons and illegal items. I think they adopt bitcoin fit this purpose nectar if it's anonymity and freedom.

Bitcoin since it appears and after the silk road business were just conected to ilegal activities .the opinion of most people that bitcoin is the one meant for criminals.. this is because of its anonymity and untraceability.. bitcoin has strict terms and conditions policy that prohibits using its service for illegal activities
We cannot control what people believe, but if you will base on the output, the price of bitcoin is great and the adoption rate increases as well so I think there is no real problem if people think bitcoin will be use for illegal activities, in fact it gives additional increase in the market circulation.

Need some spare btc for a new PC
With trump In power and people planning to leave USA and India banning notes, it's about time that people will shift to Bitcoins, this will soon results in the illegal money being transferred to Bitcoin. This will be used, to buy drugs and arms. Let's hope my assumptions don't turn true or next we see is countries going behind Bitcoins

nah, no one will leave US because he won, but it's funny thing they all want to go to Canada but not Mexico. Cheesy the wider use of bitcoins will come in time, people need to hear about it and see it's benefits and that wont happen untill more big businesses accept bitcoina s a payment option.

Yes,Indeed bitcoin is being used for illegal activites.

One of the biggest problem of bitcoin is a lot of people who never used bitcoin are being firstly intreduced to bitcoin by knowing some illeagal activities that were made with bitcoin such as silkroad and purchasing drugs.
Bitcoin will always be the preferred payment method for illegal activities ,because of his anonymous nature that makes it a preferred payment method by people who uses it for illegal activites.
But we should not make it hold us back, there are also a plenty of illegal activies that are being done with fiat and cash which is also pretty anonymous.

Yeah, depends on the lawyer. Saul would make it easy using Bitcoin without any problems in any country. Smiley But seriously making just some transactions is not illegal activity, but the purpose you are making them for, sometimes is.

That's right. If the government in your country issues a total Bitcoin ban for whatever entity, then the purpose of using Bitcoin doesn't necessarily makes a difference since you are using Bitcoin even though you know it's prohibited to do so. That's something they can punish you for. But if they know you bought drugs or weapons, then it makes things far more severe. The punishment for that will come on top of the punishment for using Bitcoin.

I think I would agree with you. A government whose self-interest is getting into its head can ban the use of Bitcoin of its citizen especially when that government is feeling threatened with the potential of Bitcoin. And this is something we hope not many governments will do.
