Bitcoin is like a fiat or any valuable object. I see many people are using it to do their illegal activities, like cash!
There is nothing different, and something could be illegal in your country could be legal in another one!
So it's good no one could "stop" an activities because "it's illegal"!

we don't know about this because when transaction is made, we can not see for what that transaction and we can not know is it for illegal activities or not. the only thing that we can do is we keep using bitcoin for good purpose. beside that we should stay away from making any illegal activities for safe.

Yahh bitcoins are used for ilegal things like smuggling of gold, drugs etc .but even if u do so u are doing a bad thing which is not recommended at all. So u should start doing bitcoins through this forum ..kudoos Smiley

That is certainly true, but not all of them use the bitcoin for illegal activities. Many also use bitcoin for their needs to transfer between countries so that they need not bother to exchange currency with a big enough fee. Just do something a good thing and not have to think about the negative impact when there are still many people who use the bitcoin for technological advancement. any illegal activity will definitely give you the worst thing for us, because it was so opposite of the law that is already made
We could not really tell if they are using bitcoin for illegal activities or not because it's anonymous, and whether they use it or not it does not matter as long as bitcoin's economy is progressive and the majority will be benefited.

Payment Gateway Allows Recurring Payments
Actually bitcoin is not being used for illegal activities. It only just depends on the people or users of where they want to use it, if they want to use it in good activities that help them to earn money, or in illegal activities. Yes illegal activities maybe they think is it good for them and they earn money from it in a fastest way.

How did you know that bitcoin was not being used for illegal activities? Did you know that fiat money was being used for illegal activities too. That's why I do believe that bitcoin was also being abused and used for different illegal activities. Most of them are being found in the dark marketplaces, just google it and you'll know.

Unlike Liberty Reserve, Bitcoin's transactions aren't truly invisible. Thanks to the elaborate software architecture that stands behind this cryptocurrency, it's possible to see the web of exchanges involving Bitcoin. But it's not possible to see who is using them, much less what they're buying. Little wonder that bitcoins have a growing criminal constituency, particularly in the unregulated, murky online world of the "Deep Web."
Bitcoin was created to give us freedom and it's online so with freedom online we can do anything we want as long as we have bitcoins, not all people are law abiding citizen because not all laws in this earth are created for the benefit of the majority or the masses.

Lastly, if illegal it does not mean it's wrong.
Yeah, I am sure about that, bitcoin is here for us to have freedom online and to experience a better service with a cheaper transaction fee. We should be happy that bitcoin is created because it gives us the opportunity to make money and lessen our expenses.

Definitely. Bitcoin is widely popular skinning criminals because neither it have taxes nor it is issued by government. Criminals get extra layer of comfort and security with bitcoin because it is anonymous and helps them to hide their real identity from the real world and obviously no one could ever track them. Thus they use bitcoin then other system of transaction especially banking system.

The government doesn't need Bitcoin because they can simply use the USD to fund illegal activities without consequences.

I didn't read this whole thing, but this is obviously a troll post. Does anyone use dollar bills for illegal activities? Is the Sky blue? Does the sun set in the west? Are you a troll?
yeah anyway if bitcoin actually used for illegal activities then what's the harm? all users are free to use bitcoin and there is no harm if they are using bitcoin to their interests, whatever it
You might not directly feel it because it doesn't affect you at all, but bitcoin being used in illegal activities actually gives bitcoin a bad name. You might not care about that and only think of earning money through bitcoins but bitcoin's reputation actually matters. All those bad stories about bitcoin has lead the majority into thinking that it is a scam and the users of it are doing something illegal online. It discourages the non-bitcoin users so that prolongs the mass adoption period.
well we need to make a better job at explaining what bitcoin is. if we do it right we might end up with more legal businesses. but i see a problem here.
bitcoin is more complicated then fiat and most people have already a problem with the understanding of fiat money. educating is what we need the most.

If fiat is being used by some in illegal activities, it's more likely to happen with bitcoin also. Since no one knows the identity and transactions of its users, there are chances that bitcoin is being used in illegal transactions. But then, as righteous users of bitcoin, all we need to do is to educate others about the legality of bitcoin.

Well that is why the government wants to have their hands on controlling bitcoin so they could use it easily in their illegal transaction, and I think it is up to the person if what he would want to do with bitcoin, and I think some people can get through any gambling site using it even if gambling is not allow in their country just like that it is easy and undetected.

I do believe that it is easier to make a illegal transaction with bitcoin than paper money, evidence are not seen by eyes, unless they would start searching you and you haven't destroyed your phones wallet or your laptops. paper money is so obvious when making a transaction, unlike in bitcoin, you can even do it without talking personally.

Yes, in bitcoin there is no paper trail and since it is an anonymous transaction this bitcoin is the afvorite mode of payment in illegal activities. Ussually those illegal activities are involved in drug trade.
Due to the fact that bitcoin is anonymous by nature it can be use of illegal activities and that's why people with illegal activities are making a huge demand for bitcoin because they are regularly transacting and using bitcoin. There is no way to control them but they can help boost the economy of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not anonymous. Because you can still trace someones transaction, it is just making it so called anonymous just because it doesn't require so much information to those people who are transacting. And that is making them an advantage by using bitcoin and to make it fair whether it is for bitcoin or not, there are illegal activities.
You make Bitcoin not anonymous by not taking the proper precautions to make the transactions as anonymous as possible. You can make it mostly anonymous beyond that, and there isn't anything to prove that you own an address otherwise, unless you make it know via giving out information through one or more means.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
c'mon, fi**ck this... MUCH MORE ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES WAS MADE WITH FIAT. BLAHHHHH.

Bitcoin is so cool that this month I save my friends marriage with BtC. SO F8**CK this "illegal".. let's think about "legal"... you can buy legal marijuana, you can play in casino, you can pay bicthes to go to our home, WHATELSE you want?
Bitcoin is a paradise, this "illegal" stamp is pretty old look, nowdays, bitcoin is much more about freedom than "wrong things", so... you can use it illegaly: YES; so, what money hsa a shield against that? So, let's enjoy freedom.
I don't know about the bitches, could you tell me where to buy them, I want them to go home as well after your home. LOL.,

It depends on a certain country, there are countries that online gambling is illegal but because of bitcoin they gamble easily, and look at this.. even kids nowadays can easily do gambling because there's no restriction in a gambling sight aside from asking you if you are minor or not but they do not see you.
Bitcoin has made online gambling easier but lets not lie to ourselves a young person that wanted to gamble before the invention of bitcoin could do it, many casinos only ask for id verification when you are going to withdraw your earnings, so a teenager could gamble with a few hassles even before bitcoin.

Actually we would just be wasting our time trying to explain it to people and pushing them into using bitcoins. No matter how well we explain it to people, and no matter how we convince them, the negative side of bitcoin will still be there and that would still be in their minds. You just can't persuade then. People only hears what they want to hear, and it's the negative side of bitcoin.
i could accept your premise that people only hear what they want to hear, but i have a different conclusion. they are willing to take a risk if they can make easy money. that is how many scams work. so they will hear the make money part and forget about the risk. i am sure it would be way easier to get them with bitcoin on board if you play with their greed. but i think this is not the way to go.
