Yeah the media love to hate on Bitcoin. Fiat is probably worse when it comes to criminal activity, but there always seems to be a problem with Bitcoin.

It's not for a big deal matter. Just some concerns if bitcoin is being used too for illegal activities.

Yes Bitcoin is being used for illegal activities, I think everybody who at least heard something about Bitcoin knows that. But we shouldn't forget that almost everything in the world, fiat money, guns, knives, drugs, ... even simple water is being used for illegal activities one way or another. So it's your personal choice how to look at things and their place in the world.

IMO it is better to not emphasize the dark side of something especially if you are going to work with this thing in the future, but of course we shouldn't be unaware of this side.

good point mate just for media bias news and still more readers got interested but for sure nothing is new there bitcoin is a currency so it will be use the same way with any other form of currency.

Which currency is not being used for illegal activities? None, each and every currency in the world if used in one or more criminal activities and no one can prevent that from happening nor it has any effect on that currency and the currency got nothing to get blamed for that.

Haha.I also agree with you.For me Bitcoin is not too old and still new in real world.That why when people talk about bitcoin,it only lead to criminal and darknet topic.For me,the fiat money is still more evil because there are many illegal is dealing with fiat money.For example,drug.So i don know why,people always think bitcoin as a money for illegal purpose.

To be honest, yes, it is being use in some illegal activities like buying illegal stuffs in the dark market in the deep web like Silk Road. I know you are all familiar with this issue because it's just happened last year. Silk road is a dark market that is in the deep web. They are selling drugs and other stuffs and the only payment that they accept is bitcoins for them and the buyers to stay anonymous but it doesn't mean that bitcoin will be banned just because of this. Other currencies like dollars and other money everywhere are being used in illegal activities but the government didn't ban it right? Because money can be spent in anything, anywhere as long as you have some. The thing here is that you can be put into jail if you get caught doing some illegal activities like buying drugs and so on, and you will be the one who is gonna pay for what you've done and not bitcoin.

At this point they would either had to purchase a huge load of coins through cash money, or they put it into stolen art for example. Well in that aspect bitcoin has the advantage, however if you will try to analyze majority of the transactions in this world are done manually or offline transaction, so bitcoin is only good for activities that involves online transaction.

Now there are better bands then the one of Escobar. They sell drugs through the dark net and no one knows who they are. They are making money quietly from a long time now. They haven't killed anyone or blackmailed anyone so in this sense these bands of our times are much better and much smarter than animals like Escobar and Griselda Blanco.

You are right bitcoin characteristics is being anonymous which is a really good thing for bitcoin but the usage would really depend on how the person would use it its either illegal or legal things. Yes its not a crime but its just whats the potential of bitcoin being used by anybody.

And that is literally happening in all financial assets in the world. So it's really normal to see if bitcoin is used in illegal activities.

As long as things has value, it can be used in any kind of activities whether legal or not.
