Hell yes, and you all saw that moron trying to sell illegal 'porn' here the other day. That's the sort of thing that gives bitcoin a black eye, and it's completely undeserved but real. But dark markets would exist anyway, and they always have, without bitcoin. I say screw the dark markets. Won't use them.

Everyday it is being used in illegal activities. You could see it in twitter and facebook. Those scam site are attracting people then run away after they get what they want.
Well, as such many people use paypal for scamming others and even use it for trading illegal things like drugs and all, so shall we stop using paypal and other e-currency processors ? NO then why even bother if bitcoins are being used for illegal activities.i think bitcoin is being used for illegal and legal activities, but i don't really know. bitcoin is like a knife, its good when good people used it, its bad when bad people used it, so its depend how we want to used it. but i think bitcoin itself a good think in our life.
Some bitcoins are being used for illegal activity like literally every single currency in the world, USD and the like are being used for tons of illegal activity... I don't think that takes any of the value of coins.
Indeed and these scammers are using bitcoins because of the fact that bitcoins are irreversible, so while being irreversible is acting as a bad feature at the same time it has 1000 positive effects because of being irreversible scammers cannot scam innocent too. 
Some bitcoins are being used for illegal activity like literally every single currency in the world, USD and the like are being used for tons of illegal activity... I don't think that takes any of the value of coins.
To be honest i think it is, bitcoin is one of the most ideal currency to do illegal things because its so hard to track it, and the worst thing is some of the people directly judge all of bitcoin user are bad guys, so it has made bitcoin difficult to be developed, and even some people proudly announce that they are using bitcoin for bad thingsHowever, people only see bitcoin with its negative sides although those sides are minor in compare with the benefits of bitcoin. As a result, they think bitcoin users are bad guys too and they don’t want to be like that, which affect bitcoin a lot, so I hope this will change in the future.

That is actually the bad part of bitcoin. They can freely do transactions that cannot be traced. It is not really meant for that but they jusy keep on abusing it for the purpose of making a large amount of money in a faster way.
We will find both types of people in real world some will use it for good and some of them will use it for bad, but the fact is the percentage of using for illegal activities is higher and that creates a negative impression in the minds of people.
For sure since bitcoin is commonly used on deep web or dark net on doing illegal things and it really gives a bad image to bitcoin but this thing is reality and we cant do anything about it or on how to stop it since bitcoin is known for its anonymity thats why its commonly used there.

Off course are bitcoins being used for illegal activities and that is not strange because you dont know who is securing the bitcoin it cant be traced so why would you not do illegal things with it!
In the past Russia banned bitcoin and according to them the reason was it is used for illegal activities, but now it has removed that ban which is a bigger proof that bitcoin is not used for illegal use.

Anonymity is the main purpose why bitcoin is being used in illegal activities that are happening on dark web which is commonly used on buying drugs and other illegal things. This characteristics is truly an advantage when you do such thing because you would be hardly to be traced by authorities thats why criminals and other bad guys out there sees it as an advantage.

Yes, aside from the mere fact that its a currency, the person transacting it will have anonymity. Thats why there are some online wallets needs id verification in order for you to make big transactions in btc.
online wallets doesn't require you to do verification with your gov document,the example of online wallet is blockchain.info or blocktrailthe one that require verification is an exchanger,when you're going to buy bitcoin there you'll be required to do verification although most of exchanger also having online wallet,but online wallet still can be used even you didn't verify your account for example coinbase or whatever

There are so many wallets that have a few thousand satoshi in them just sitting there somewhere or lost in nowhere land. The one factor that throws off the curve is the fact that the crimes that it has been used to launder money for or stay anonymous created some very large transactions and that may make an average look wrong.
