Bitcoin is certainly hard to understand, but that doesn't mean that it's hard to use. Most people can drive a car or send an e-mail without understanding the internal combustion engine or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). And certainly both of these were considered “too complicated” for the masses.

Peoples fine it difficult to understand what is cryptoccurrency most especially bitcoin, but their interested over cryptoccurrency.
I just suggest that their should be a TEXT BOOK that will discuss about cryptoccurrency in order to educate people who are interested because referring them to online shows that know Manuel evidence of cryptoccurrency. And if their is any article that guide bitcoin.

Not everyone loves to read book since majority right now is on the net and there are so many articles and youtube videos are truly helpful for people to understand on what is bitcoin and how it works. But I on the other hand I agree that there's a book related on this topic since its good to have an option to scattered the information about the bitcoins.

I think having a text book covering crptocurrency is more better than online reading because of advance people who are book lover. I think elders prefer text books than online because of reflection of light that after their eye lens after using screen to read.

There are already a lot of books for crypto currency newbies. Bitcoin might be difficult to understand for some people that aren't tech wit. For understanding how bitcoin works, they need to understand the whole concept of blockchain for which they also need to know what hashes are, encryption and other computer science related knowledge.
But, to use bitcoin, people don't need to understand the details on how it works. If a person knows how to use paypal, it will be a piece of cake for them to learn how to use bitcoin.
Understanding might be difficult, but using bitcoin is easy.

If someone don't want to learn about crypto currency then there is no need to teach them. Here, intention is a great factor. Only book is not sufficient for learning about bitcoin easily.

You can't teach people who are not interested to learn. There are a lot of people behind us who are educated and have degree but they are not able to create simple facebook account. More knowledge, analysis and interest are needed to know cryptro currency well.

Our forum discussions itself more than enough to learn more about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Apart from this there were lots and lots of articles, and the regular news updates available with different websites. More number of YouTube channels were also available, dedicatedly for cryptocurrencies.

In simple lot many sources are available in our hands. Only thing necessary is the mind to learn, because without self interest it isn't possible to be knowledgeable in a specific domain.

This reminds me of 20 years ago when in my country the government started putting people's wages in the bank, the most critical people said that people were very illiterate and would not be able to use ATM to receive their wages, today everyone knows how to use ATM and not it takes even many minutes to learn how to use ATM. That is why I believe that things only become difficult when we have no interest in them. People will not need to be learning very technical things about bitcoin, just that they learn basic things that everything will go well. See that nowadays even 10 year old children can use facebook, instagram and whatsapp without any difficulties, I do not believe that using bitcoin would be difficult for most people in the world
If I were to ask it is really difficult to understand how does the bitcoin works, what is it and also what are the meaning of the terminologies we are using when we are inside the crypto world. That's why when I first enter the bitcoin talk campaign I find it difficult because there are terminologies I don't understand like the word binance but now I can completely understand what is it because I am staying here for years.

It's a welcome development because understanding some terminologies of cryptoccurrency is not am easy thing and we most make a proper research before comprehending the concept's of cryptoccurrency fully, and is while newbies who don't know the rudiments of crptocurrency before registry to bitcointalk community is suppose to observe the system before responding.

We don't need textbook for them to understand bitcoin, even if we make one, it's still pretty useless because people are jumping to conclusions since Bitcoin is always being used by scammers. Simply googling it is enough, and if they really want to understand what Bitcoin truly is, they will, even without a textbook.

We cannot force them to believe in Bitcoin instantly, it takes time since they want to stay in the safe side so they will not lose their money (thinking that they will be scam, etc.) But once they hooked up on learning and knowing about it, trust me, instantly they will invest their money on it without any hesitations.

We are not lacking information on Bitcoin you can Google for the simplest one, but the simplest explanation are on Youtube, because it is visually presented to people, this is the best way to learn and to study Bitcoin, it's a fact that using a visual can help people understand even a complex subject, so do check Youtube and get the one suited for you or your friends.

It obvious that not everyone like to read online and comprehend and some bookish people like note book
More than internet evidence.
That's the problem some have.
But there are other options like audio book that they can listen, like Bitcoin's White paper.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yYrYCE4i1c
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqhWdWhUnIA

What am telling you is life story, it happened between I and my lecturer when I was in university, have shown different kind of YouTube video in order put this man through but he could believe me but was emphasising on text book and the author of the book.

Of course we cannot disregard hard copies of  Bitcoin learning materials such as books, magazines, etc... - which are also abundant with regards to Bitcoin literacy. In contrast, the only downside for books about Bitcoin is that you will have to borrow it or buy it personally not like free ebooks or Youtube videos where anyone can obtain it easily throughout the net. But in fairness, some people would only prefer books for their convenience.

With this, I guess its just a matter of choice if the learner wants soft copy or hard copy materials or both, though it would also be ideal if it could be supplemented with practical application and not just purely theoretical. Experience is the key! Smiley

There are some factors that may affect into how can you say that Bitcoin is that difficult to understand.

One is the knowledge of the person with regards to technology and in investments. A person who has a background in investing and in technology or at least know anything about blockchain will find Bitcoin easier to understand compare to a person who doesn't know anything about blockchain, technology and investing.

Another one is the eagerness of the person to understand it. If a person really wants to learn it then he will do everything to do it and vice versa. Another one is the accessibility in the new technology. We are slowly evolving right now when it comes to the technology we are using so people who aren't that techy will find Bitcoin difficult to understand.

In my opinion ther is no need in the text book about bitcoin for those who are interested in it and who has a strong desire to learn the BTC and crypto currency in deep. There are so many resources in the Internet, websites, blogs, specialized YouTube channels, articles, forums and do on. For those who is in search there is no problem to find the information - it is plenty of it. But may be it would be not bad to gather information from different resources on one huge resource where newcomers will be able to learn about BTC and crypto. But only for the information - something like the idea and principle, how it is mined, how to create the BTC wallet and keep secured your assets and so on.

It seemed to me that Bitcoin is not only a function of money or an economic case! Bitcoin is difficult to understand from a technical point of view, such as its calculation, distribution in the network, the reward for the produced block, mining pools, sha256, hashrate and so on...
So Bitcoin is not easy to understand!

I personally feel that Bitcoin is not difficult to understand...
if you are lazy to find a thread about what Bitcoin is and the details in this forum then you can do a search on google, but my advice is easier to understand if you read it on Wikipedia/Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is easy to understand for those who understand the nature of money and those who want to learn it. A book is redundant, just one video, it needs to be explained simply, intuitively, and easy to understand.
A cash-only person doesn't care what bitcoin does because he just likes cash and doesn't want to participate in things he doesn't understand.
Its not easy to understand for a layman or newbie except they put in much enthusiasm and courage in learning and understanding it, personally it took some effort and time from my own end to grasp the whole concept of it and how to use it,
A newbie may get discourage initially after reading through Bitcoin Whitepaper, watching some videos and the complexity in mode of transaction, opening of wallets etc however with time and dedication what looks difficult will become easy to understand.

I suppose most people don't really need to know in-depth technical aspects of Bitcoin as I assume knowing its basics might suffice for anyone who wants to try it.

There is a ton of Youtube videos and reference materials that can be found on the net including information from this forum. If anyone is really interested to learn about it then I also think they might find it interesting as long as they have enthusiasm.

It obvious that not everyone like to read online and comprehend and some bookish people like note book
More than internet evidence.
That's the problem some have.
People have different preferences in their way of learning. Some choose to search online because it’s convenient to use, with just a click and you can easily see different kinds of information. While others find books as a good and trustworthy source of information, that’s why they prefer to use it to study. What’s great about is you can choose what you are much more comfortable with, since there are textbooks about cryptocurrency and there are sites online that offer free cryptocurrency courses.

There are already decent books like Andreas Antonopoulos' The Internet of Money. Though I still think YouTube and internet research is the way to go as it's safe to assume that the majority prefer using the internet over reading physical books.

If you search on YouTube "What is bitcoin", you will get some results. If you see their rating you can understand that no one understands them.

Personally, what I do to understand bitcoin is that I have to be involved in it, so that I can understand bitcoin well.
better to do it in person and be accompanied by studying it carefully so that I can get to know firsthand how bitcoin works, to learn it I can find it in articles, youtube and books related to bitcoin and ask the experts and do it while studying it is very effective for me.
