Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
I doubt if Bitcoin gambling is accepted in China, so no.  This doesn't mean Chinese people do not gamble illegally with BTC using VPN.  The government can only place a ban, but if the gambling site doesn't require KYC, then Chinese can participate.
For me, yes Chinese people can still do gamble illegally with BTC using VPN to make sure that they can't be tracked. But the Chinese government just prohibited mining BTC on their state. If Chinese people want to gamble in another crypto web, especially that that web is not in the territory of China and including the no KYC, I think they still have the rights. Smiley
That’s it because VPN can hide us from being detected and this same reason why most of the gamblers from other countries uses this as well
And there are many sites that requires no KYC for their players but ofcourse we must look for the legit sites since some gambling sites now are not imposing the KyC when we are inquiring but if we get the jackpot or other high winnings they will ask or KyC before withdrawal.
So be aware of those issues for you to be safe specially Chinese people

Nevertheless, I still doubt that the Chinese government will be able to completely ban cryptocurrencies in their country.
The biggest miners and manufacturers are found on China. If bitcoin is totally ban, there would be a stop of production of miners and the manufacturing itself.

I think few months ago there are videos on how hot bitcoin is in the country.
I also have no such evidence about it China is good country which has all the facilities and also it is  on progress. Crypto is applicable over there for all reasons same as for gambling. I am sure after few years China will become the best crypto gambling country as much casino and gambling spots are accepting it.

Its probably not much different to any country which bans gambling, Pakistan  bans gambling due to religious reasons but again there is large amount of gambling so big it makes headlines in countries thousands of miles away because they are paying players to make certain scores for the bets to pay off.
Its just a massive underground industry that is handled by people hand to hand rather then officially, government cant really ban anything without the cooperation of the people.   The tales of soviet russia banning all sorts of things is legendary and they just carried on in a black market.

Communism doesnt allow capitalism yet the government allows some form of it to benefit officials, you are never really an owner of anything except by the blessing of your local political heads.   They have a strange system of arbitrary rules to somehow allow many things that have various bans or support, I doubt its ever completely clear to an outsider.
Bitcoin can only help in such situations to facilitate freer flow of capital outside physical confiscation and disruption.

It is not up to the casino. The casinos can provide services to the people in China, but if online gambling with bitcoin is illegal in China, then those Chinese people will be in trouble for breaking their countries law by playing on those casino. The government might also end up blocking access to the site from their country. China is a country where everything is strictly regulated. I don't think the people will risk themselves playing on an online bitcoin casino.

it is still up to the casino because they will follow the rules and wont start a gambling business if ever gambling is restricted on that country

if online gambling with bitcoin is illegal in China,
only online gambling  ? or only bitcoin gambling  is illegal ? if it is , then they can still play a gambling offline or play a gambling that dont uses a bitcoin  .

As far as I know China not allow online gambling although I don't have source news. Since bitcoin isn't traceable if don't know who own the address perhaps China people's would use VPN. And I believe most of legit crypto-currency gambling doesn't ask for KYC. So China player can get benefits of it.

I don't think gambling is totally banned in China. Lottery especially, is kind of legal in parts of the country https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling_in_China
Lottery is still gambling I guess.
Maybe gambling is tightly controlled over there or something.

Maybe China has not banned gambling, but bitcoin gambling is something new, and the gambling itself connected to the internet, so perhaps there is a regulated or something like that. But even if bitcoin gambling is banned in China, I guess people will use VPN to visit on the gambling website, and they can play gambling. Besides that, I think people in China will search the gambling website, which doesn't ask for KYC to prevent the government from investigating their account.

China has actually officially banned gambling for its citizens and anyone involved in gambling will deal with the law. For the lottery itself, it may still be legalized because the Chinese government does not consider lotteries as a form of gambling such as mahjong, poker, etc. Well this is a different perspective about the lottery between us and the Chinese government.

But the Chinese government still prohibits all gambling activities, especially online gambling such as poker, casinos etc. For more details, please refer to some laws on gambling in China: http://www.china.org.cn/china/LegislationsForm2001-2010/2011-02/11/content_21899017.htm

From what I read China legalizes gambling, sports betting and similar casinos but with the condition that it is not online gambling and poker,

Gambling is pretty much illegal in MOST of China. The only territories that have gambling is Hong Kong (just a little here) and Macau (the big one). Online gambling is the same, whether fiat or crypto, that's why Chinese online casinos operate outside, usually in SE Asia.

Now whether the gamblers are OK with it, it seems that they're fine. I suppose there's less money trail when gambling using bitcoins and online is their only way to gamble unless they travel to HK or Macau.

There isn't any ban on gambling in China.

It's illegal except in Macau

I believe gambling is not that popular in China, which is why there is not much of gambling sites from China. Chinese people used to show interest on various other entertainment and sports activities than spending on gambling.

Macau has 2-3 times the amount of gambling revenue as America does lol

One of their largest operators is accused of offering online gambling to people in China using underground banking networks

The annual amount bet through online gambling in the mainland is more than 1 trillion yuan (US$145 billion), equivalent to nearly twice the annual income of China’s lottery,” Econ omic Information Daily said

For anyone who is still unaware that Chinese gambling is huge

Macau recorded a 3.5% year-on-year decline in gross gaming revenue to MOP$24.45 billion (US$3.01 billion) in July

3 Billion US dollars gambled in a month and it's lower than expected  Shocked

There are plenty of Chinese gambling sites accepting bitcoin that people are using with proxy or tor browser.

Online gambling with bitcoin is not always the best idea though, you can hodl and watch your bitcoin increase in value with very little risk and zero effort  Cool

I think it's prohibited to do bitcoin gambling in china but I don't know if bitcoin is banned there. If they know how to use vpn there then imo they can do bitcoin gambling there. It is more convenient and you can gamble anywhere and anytime you want.
Once gambling is ban, it's ban whatever resources you are using to gamble.
AFAIK, bitcoin is not ban in china, and in fact these days, there are already good news about bitcoin in china to which they already regulate bitcoin and consider it as properly.

Bitcoin in China over the past was experiencing some ban issue and now little by little regulation is taking effect.
I never have heard about it I am sure China did not ban gambling because fair and good gambling has no bad effect on the economical state of the country so gambling is not ban don’t put any doubt or there are only few people are there who gamble with people in China. I like to gamble with my friends who lives in China.

Nevertheless, I still doubt that the Chinese government will be able to completely ban cryptocurrencies in their country.  Until now, only statements are heard, but they are not of any harsh nature to frighten Chinese users of cryptocurrency.  It is in India that they promise criminal liability for the use of cryptocurrency, Ag in China does not.  But as for gambling, it is very strict about this in China.  And I very much doubt that such games will be legal.

There's a lot of websites that are banned on China.

About the bitcoin ban, around 2017 when the news about ICO banned came in to the news and then another rumor started that they've just banned bitcoin. And that made everyone believed that bitcoin is banned but AFAIK bitcoin isn't ban but just regulated by PBoC.

Maybe bitcoin gambling doesn't accept in China, but I think Chinese people still using bitcoin for playing gambling and they will use VPN to visit on the site. We don't know for sure, but with the easy connection from VPN, I am sure that people in China will use the VPN to access the site and that happens too with the other people in another country.
There are still ways for them to gamble for sure, but I don't think the whole gambling there is illegal aside from cryptogambling. China recently are making good move for cryptocurrency, I hope it will continue until they make things legal again. Gambling are very huge in China because we know Macau is a great place for them to gamble so I believe they will still support the online gambling, maybe they still need to regulate it.

I am sure that China is a country that legalizes bitcoin gambling even though its government does not have rules for gambling in the form of bitcoin, I have this view because I see how the biggest mining sites even producing bitcoin add-ons prohibit bitcoin gambling.

They are the leader in operating Bitcoin gambling, in fact here in our country there are so many Chinese immigrants or tourist employed or running an overseas online Bitcoin gaming, I tend to believe that it's legal because how can they run a lot of online gambling sites, if these are illegal in their home town.
They are smart, they operate in a country where their business is safe.
This would also benefit your country because this online casinos will attract lots of gamblers that would result to operators paying big taxes.

I think online gambling can't be stop as long as all countries are not banning it, and this would not also stop gamblers from playing especially now that we have an option to play in a crypto gambling sites which is allows us to be anonymous.
