I might refer Bitcoin as a new currency but certainly not "new era". I can consider bitcoin as a mode of payment rather than a currency because for it to be a major currency it must be accepted legally by a country and count Bitcoin as some form of secondary currency. But the chances are slim to none because Bitcoin cannot be controlled by anyone which means it can be hoarded or other things that can take advantage to others.
Some of country were regulated bitcoin as legal currency. But ofcourse there are still some country didn't accept it yet.  I think bitcoin us a new era of currency becouse it is a new concept  that bring so many advantage for the user. It is uncounterfeit able, profitable, fast world wide transfer and decentralized. Even fiat is can be hoarded, the hoarder can make big influence for bitcoin price becouse the spreading and circulation is not so good at now.
yes it is a fact that bitcoin is new era currency, but it is the demand of the new generation, as they are giving more preference to online currency therefore bitcoin is more convenience for them, and they are using bitcoin for most of their online activites.

Some countries already regulated bitcoin as legal currency but not as an official or major payment method due to every country have their own official fiat money, some countries regulated bitcoin as property, commodity, digital currency, not regulated yet or banned bitcoin. So, we could consider that bitcoin is still far to become new era of currency but it has potential to be like that.

But not that far off. in the next couple of years but within the next decade for sure,

Even knowing bitcoin is the new way of business, and bringing the fiat to digital currencie on the next years. The big question is when the market will be ready for bitcoin, because we need merchants to use and accept bitcoin, something till the moment we arent see, some companies are using it but those companies are promoting bitcoin, while others are thinking the beneficts and problems to use and accept it.

After the existence of the bitcoin everything related to transactions become easier. I can send and receive money from different countries without having to bother the time using a bank account.
yep bitcoin very good when used in online store but bitcoin can't use in local shops, many of the government has not approved bitcoin
yeah we know it, but over the times certainly bitcoin will be growing, and users will continue to grow, you'll see more and more local shops that will accept bitcoin, yeah it would be a bit time consuming

Money is what money does

Barring a few non-important countries (like Honduras or Zimbabwe), nowhere in the world a foreign currency (i.e. any foreign currency) is accepted legally. On the other hand, Bitcoin itself is officially considered as a foreign currency (i.e. just another foreign currency) in many countries. That pretty much tells us that to be a currency (or a major currency in your speak), it is not required to be accepted as a legal tender (since what accepting a currency legally comes down to) by some country. Do you know the national currency of, say, Paraguay, and how it is different from the currency of Uruguay?

Well, we need to keep in mind that this is technology, and it is expected that technology will continue advancing day by day. Bitcoin is a reality now as a revolutionary digital currency, but most banks are already adopting this technology to carry out their financial processes, so it is undoubted that in few years this technology will be replaced by more advanced innovations, therefore I think in future years we will remember the bitcoin as a primitive technology, but the pioneer one, the first step to more advanced options.

Since bitcoin is trending now world wide because you can easily earn this and it exchange in real cash.
Yes, it is known worldwide but not trending since bitcoin is still anonymous. And its reputation  for some is still negative due to its connection to deepweb.

Is bitcoin the new value of currency in the internet? Is he the new money? Can we use it in buying foods and etc in the future?
Well for all i know it's  the only value of currency in the internet(except for altcoins) since paypal and other stuffs just use your fiat money online. Yes,  we can buy foods and etc. already now. From what I've  heard there's  some stores in states that offer bitcoin as payment.  There even are Bitcoin Atm already so that we can convert them to fiat money.

Definitely Yes, If you see the evolution of money, the next best thing is Bitcoins. Popular, decentralized and not own by any group of people or government of a country. But the value of bitcoin is volatile still, hope it will be stable and increasing in future, that will cement the future of bitcoin. Smiley
Yes, I understand that btc is definitely the new era of currency, because it is totally different from all the world has seen and is already very  popular. However, how long will this era last is a big question. In our fastly changing world it can vanish just as it appeared and we will all forget it used to be that important and there were people thinking that one day it will become the only currency. Undecided

actually nothing's impossible for that to happen , after the bitcoin has reached the full adoption world wide we may be able already to use it directly whenever we are going to buy foods and beverages, some stuffs or anything we need and we want . bitcoin is already a new money which alternate for fiat we just need to wait until it is spread world wide .

Yeah bitcoin right now needs big adoption for itd direct using without having any dependance on fiat. Already bitcoin on its existence has made a new revolution in transaction and as a form of currency. This has laid the footstep for the digitaliztion and cashless economy around the world.

As base on what is happening now I can say that the price of bitcoin now is
becoming stable with its price and hopefully it is going to keep on increasing as
the Christmas day is coming. And of course there is no other crypto currency that is
going to be preferred by most of the people even how many new projects are going to come out.

Yes, bitcoin is on top of people choice in terms of crypto currencies or altcoin in the web because of its advantages to the users but then I guess, the point of OP is being new era currency.

I think we could say that, because bitcoin is the most used cryptocurrencies that is being use in the internet when buying some stuffs and other things that involves money. Since bitcoin's transaction is always fast depends on the blockchain actuallyl, if the blockchain is having many transaction to be processed then sending bitcoin to someone will take some to for about 10-30 minutes I guess. In the near future, I'm sure that bitcoin would be the money that we are all going to use.

Governments accepting an anonymous currency worldwide? Good luck with that. They never agreed giving us the freedom we wanted and needed, and I don't think that will change soon either. Bitcoin is the freedom I wanted and I guess soon we will have it either banned by governments or they will create a new cryptocurrency to compete with Bitcoin, with the idea of it "being more safe and secure".

There is no doubt that governments won't be quite happy with anonymous payments across the whole world, but they would be playing with fire it they tried to outright ban Bitcoin. The idea of creating their own cryptocurrency for the purpose of competing with Bitcoin looks stillborn to me or even detrimental to the government itself in the long run. People who are now using Bitcoin won't trust it anyway, but those who might use it (i.e. average people) will likely end up using Bitcoin at the end of the day...

Since governments will habitually destroy their version of Bitcoin just like they always do it with fiat

Maybe it's just how the government really works. They do not want anything to be out of control. Or to say the other way around, they want to control everything. If they couldn't, they would just destroy it instead.

As I just said in another post, the government is a power monopolist since power doesn't allow competition. Two producers of some goods can more or less peacefully coexist dividing between themselves the market for their goods in some proportion, but power cannot be divided in the same way. You either have it or you don't. There is no third option...

That's why governments are very destructive in certain aspects
